HA, you’re so funny… “Well, we’ll just hope and pray.” Sounds exactly like me when I’m trying to get something to saturate! I never heard the term wigwag tie-dye before until a couple of days ago, and now of course TH-cam is sending me everything about it. So gorgeous! Thank you, #1 for slowing down the video just a bit, and number 2 for the detailed commentary. Very very helpful.
😊 Half the time I’m praying I get saturation... this “wig wag” was a lot!! It took about 4 hours to dye it, I edited down as much as I could. It’s not a hard fold at all. If the saturation isn’t there it will not turn out, AT ALL. I have a video coming on the “don’ts” of the “wig wag” ❤️🌈
Totally! I fold this type of shirt all the time. It’s all about dye placement. I love the glowing orange too. ❤️🌈 th-cam.com/video/1flmQkQ6log/w-d-xo.html
@@BelladonnaDyesCo I've been working on ice dying a bunch of white cotton fabric that I have yards of. I have had a blast experimenting with the different techniques I seen on these channels. I've had some really good results too. I have not tried the liquid dyes quite yet. After you get the geometry down...you get to play with the colors. It is so much fun to do.
Really like it! I think the turquoise, green and electric or neon green interior up on top would make the top colors pop more too. Great first time you’re inspiring me to try new stuff. Thank you.
@@BelladonnaDyesCo I to think there should be more Turquoise as well. But I also agree with the Red, Orange, and Yellow blending together to get the fire glow affect. But My Favorite color is Purple.
I love the simplified method. I made a group of shirts with purple and royal blue last week with my own black and I was really worried about saturation. I applied a little more dye than necessary and will lighten up a little with darker shades from now on. I will probably go for the 24 hour set as well if doing dark colors. Still thank you very much for making this tie easier. 😊
That sounds really pretty. I love purples and blues. In most cases I’d rather over saturate than under saturate. Especially with the wigwags. White is undesirable. 24 hours or longer is the standard unless you’re apply some type of heat. I hope your projects turned out well. 😁❤️🌈
That orange really glows. The towel almost turned out just as cool. I’ve tried the wig wag a few times and find if the saturation isn’t perfect it looks completely different. I’m still working on my technique. Thanks for the video. 🥰
The orange is amazing on this one! This was my first one. I’ve been having issues with saturation. I’m going to post a fail tutorial here pretty soon. Stay tuned. ❤️🌈
The orange really works on this one. IT GLOWS. I would like to see other color combos, red and purple or green and purple would look cool. I’d watch that. That towel really took a lot of dye. I squeeze my thick shirts a little bit to help the dye out. Maybe that would help you to. Thank you for the video. I’m going to try this one out.
This particular shirt brings to my thoughts the plabet Earth, with the green and blueish top side suggesting sea & plants and the yellow and orange side suggesting lava.
This is beautiful. Where can I get the needle tips? Will they fit on my existing bottles, or do I need to purchase bottles to go with the needle tips? Thanks so much Looking forward to hearing back from you.
Thank you very much Laura. 😁 I ordered the 4 oz bottles from Amazon and they work great. I don’t know what size bottles you currently have, but my guess is you probably need to buy the whole set. It’s a pack of twelve. I use them constantly and wish I had many more. If you look at my most recent uploads, in the description box you will find clickable links to just about everything I use to create tie dye. Hope this helps! I love this shirt! I'd like more purple and turquoise to make it showy. Entranced to see how these happen. Question.. do you do anything special to keep your washer and dryer clean? And so it doesn't travel into other clothing you may have? Like washing 'your husband's' buisness shirts? Really curious. TIA
Thank you! Have you seen the most updated version? th-cam.com/video/-FgdFXjlO_c/w-d-xo.html The washer really doesn’t get too dirty. I tidy up as I go. Occasionally I’ll run a bleach water cycle and use some shower bleach cleaner on a cloth an wipe up around the edges. I’m pretty meticulous though. I have not noticed any dye transfer yet. 😉❤️🌈

Great observation, Elizabeth, it certainly did. The dye towel turned out beautifully. The theory of the towel is to draw the moisture down through the shirt, pulling the dye with it. If you watch my “fail” tutorial I didn’t use the towel because I thought the same thing. My saturation was horrible on that one. If I had used a towel would things have been different?
