@@thebritstry Food trucks and fusion foods seem to be my choice out west. an it fits in with your American foods. because it is very much a American thing. some huge cities will turn full parking lots into food truck locations, and one spot may have 30 choices of food types. so it was not one food thing that makes me think west coast. it was going places and having a choice of many things in one location. like sushi burritos at one truck then hitting up the keylime pie ladies at another truck.

What are Tater Tots? Think of them like miniature Hashbrowns in Barrel Form. Bite-sized Hashbrowns, if you will. And it's literally that simple. They go best with ketchup, of course. But they can be seasoned pretty well too. The Mexican food chain, Taco John's, serves what they call Potato Olés, and they're flattened disc shaped Tots that are lightly seasoned with Mexican spices are are quite good.

You could divide different kinds of Super Bowl food into three categories though. Stadium food like this. Tailgating food. And party food that people would have watching at home with guests, still pizza and wings etc but also “crisps” et al with various dips especially elaborate ones like seven layer dip.
Fun fact the dip with buffalo wings was originally for the carrots and celery that you ate to cool your mouth off and the original flavor was bleu cheese salad dressing. Apparently ranch became the default for many people outside of Buffalo in the years since.

Tomato's as a punishment LOL Sorry I love them especially a Texas Beefsteak tomato sliced with salt and pepper along with bread and butter pickled jalapenos. My version of a salad. :) I'm starting to think Europeans seldom have a sauce/condiment to dunk things like tater tots, fries/chips, and sauces for taco in general all such things Americans will dunk or sauce up in a heart beat and be offended if a condiment isn't to be found. Ya guys I'm sure you couldn't compete with the noise of bar full of folks watching the Super Bowl. Now when it comes to such snacks there is a difference in "Stadium snacks" and tailgating and they vary depending on stadium and region of the US this hold true for not only High School, College and Professional football games.

Tator tots can be done with a wide variety of sauces and condiments. They go well with a lot of stuff.
Ketchup, yellow mustard, honey mustard, barbecue sauce, buffalo sauce, ranch dressing, nacho cheese or really any sauce or condiments you want.
You can eat them with a fork if you cover them in a sauce, like a cheese sauce with bacon for instance.
Corndogs are pretty much able to be treated just like a tator tot. You can eat them plain or dip them in a condiment or sauce of your choice.
Most corndogs come on a stick, full size hotdog inside. Those are corndog bites really. Same taste, but in bite sized pieces and no stick.
I love soft pretzels with cheese. Perfect combination. I can't do it very often being a diabetic, but they are delicious.
The only other combination with a pretzel is mustard. Cheese, mustard or plain. Anything else with a soft pretzel would be a sin.
Chili cheese dogs are messy, but well worth it. Chili also works on the tator tots.
As for sides with a chili cheese dog, either some type of potato chips or fries. Sometimes mac and cheese or potato salad can been seen as well.
Buffalo chicken is one of my favorite things on the planet. I eat them on their own because I don't like blue cheese or ranch. Even when you don't do buffalo wings, a buffalo chicken sandwich is also really damn good.
As for a burger, I always season a burger. Unseasoned burgers just don't hit for me. Garlic, black pepper, onion powder or finely diced onion in the patty, some worchestershire sauce.
As for the next sport and doing a bet on it with a punishment for the loser, that would be the NBA Finals.
How you would tie that into a food video, I am not sure right off the bat.
Probably, trying some famous foods from each city in the Finals.
Like if the Boston Celtics get in, you could do boston baked beans (which make sure you aren't getting them out of a can, boston baked beans are a way different beast from the stuff in a can), boston cream pie and new england clam chowder.
If say, The Denver Nuggets got in, you could do, Rocky Mountain Oysters.
    Just some examples.
As for the punishment for the loser....
They have to eat a Century Egg.
Just one way you could go about it.

The cheese sauce for the pretzels probably wasn’t a good idea, it always seems to taste highly processed, I recommend mustard or even plain. There are a lot of traditional game day dishes you missed out on, seven layer dip with taco chips to scoop it up, pulled pork or brisket sliders, actually any kind of slider, flat bread topped with barbecued steak or chicken, sheet pan or Detroit style pizza, loaded potato skins, nachos, taquitos, Philly cheese steaks, chicken wings can have other sauces besides Buffalo, try teriyaki, honey barbecue and more! 😉

Corn dogs--Invented in Oregon at a restaurant called Pronto Pup on the coast (still in business!) As the story goes, they ran out of buns one day and had some batter for cornbread, and decided to combine the two. Instant classic was born. Have you two ever heard of salt and pepper -- it's usually on your table or ask for it - take a bit if it needs a bit of salt and pepper - add it! Pretty simple actually!! Some people don't want salt on anything (or shouldn't have it) - so a lot of restaurants don't highly season and leave that to the customer!!

    Hello US Brits,
Tator Tots, corndogs, and pretzels can be eaten as they are OR dipped in BBQ, Mustard, Ketchup, Honey Mustard,, Ranch, Thousand Island, Chipotle Aioli, Buffalo, Spicy Brown Mustard, salsa, Siracha, marinara, or even a lemon pepper sauce.
Corndogs generally range from about 8 inches to about 12-13 inches long and breaded. They are normally referred to as "franks" not "hot dogs".
Chili dogs will be different based on where you get them. the 'chili' is basically pinto beans, ground beef, and some spiced cooked together. Some will range from runny to very think chili that hardly ever moves. Some will have the spice of black pepper and some will use the spicier peppers (habanero, carolina reaper, jalapeno, green chili, etc.) flavors. It will have mild or hard cheddar cheese on top along with diced onions, sometimes.
Chicken wings come in different flavors: Parmesan Garlic Butter, Salt and Pepper, Lemon Pepper, Maple Glazed, Mango Habanero, Buffalo, Thai Sweet Chili, Honey lime, bbq, Tandoori. garlic-ginger, Teriyaki, and some other common popular ones for this holiday.
The burgers will usually be done at home over the grill / bbq.
Some other foods that could be eaten while watching the Superbowl are:
    tortilla chips and salsa
    pizza
    mac[aroni] 'n cheese
    potato salad
    sandwiches (like Subway)
    baked pastries (Cupcakes, cake, etc.)
Various types of potato or tortilla chips / crisps (Doritos, Lays, Cheetos, Tostitos, Ruffles, Kettle, Utz, etc.) and you can eat them in whichever flavor is the most popular in that group of watchers.
other finger foods depending on region and culture / family traditions.

I am a 64 year old American, a friend and I just had Popeyes Honey BBQ chicken wings, a large cajun fries, some cole slaw from Walmart, and Smartfood White Chedder popcorn for the Super Bowl. We also had 2 kinds of cookies, some lemon cookies, and some carmel chocolate coconut cookies.
If you do eat tator tots you have to dip them in ketchup, or cheese, or some kind of dipping sauce, almost nobody eats them plain with no sauce.
What you got are mini corn dogs, they have bigger corn dogs the size of a hot dog, and you need to eat them with mustard, nobody eats them plain, some people put ketchup on them, but they are strange, lol.
You eat the hot pretzel with cheese or mustard, I eat mine with mustard.
Chili cheese dogs are good, but I usually skip the cheese. I just get it with chili meat sauce and mustard, and the chili meat sauce needs to be a little spicy, and there should not be any beans in it, if there is they did it wrong.
I have a place near me called Wonderdog that makes a really good chili dog for $3.25 each. And I eat my chili dogs with a hot tamale, fries, or potato chips.
For chicken wings, I like my wings breaded and deep fried, with honey bbq sauce on them, or buffalo sauce, I like them both, but they must be breaded and deep fried. And $14 is very high priced, around here wings are $0.75 cents to $1.00 each. At the local Popeyes 6 wings are $5.99. And they are doing a deal now if you spend $10 on chicken you get a 6 piece wings for free.
I do not eat burgers for the Super Bowl. And a lot of places in America do not season the burgers, or if they do it is a light seasoning. They give you salt and pepper on your table and you season your own burger to your taste. You can ask if they season the burgers, and if not, ask them to do it, or just season them yourself, which is the way I like to do it. That way I can control how much salt and pepper I have on it.
And it's the Super Bowl, they add a lot more commercials, to make money on it. A 30 second commercial cost $7 million dollars.

No shade but I prefer a Detroit style Coney Dog. I live in the Chicagoland area and I go back to Michigan to get my chili from the hot dog stand I grew up eating. It is amazing and a dog 'all-the-way' is diced onions, mustard and a beanless chili on a steamed bun.

I like ketchup & regular yellow mustard (like American heinz or French'es mustard) or a warm nacho or cheese sauce is good on corndogs. Wait until u try the Korean style corndogs which looks wild & tastes amazing.

I have my own Buffalo Sauce recipe that uses 1 tsp of white vinegar for a 1½-cup portion of sauce. However, if I go 1/2 tsp over, it's too much and kind of ruins the sauce. The vinegar is very easy to overdo. So you might find a recipe that you might not like at first, but would like if you just cut back on the vinegar a bit.

Tatar tots are eaten with ketchup, ranch, or any flavored dipping sauce. Corn dogs can be eaten with any flavored dipping sauce. Some chili cheese dogs are better than others. It all depends on the quality of the chili. No, potato chips and not necessarily a staple eaten with chili dogs.

You should get some type of sauce with just about everything you eat, but this is coming from one that likes to have some type or multiple types of dip with everything.

My favorite flavor of chicken wings would be something that is both spicy and sweet. I used to love mango habanero at Buffalo Wild Wings, but I can't do that kind of heat anymore. I had a love hate relationship with them because I loved the taste of the mango, but hated how I couldn't feel my mouth after eating 1-2 wings.

The burger price seems high whith just a handful of chips & no fries or a better side dish like a salad or a potato salad or a coleslaw. The superbowl commercials are suppose to be the funniest & brand new & FUNNY & it's now 7 million for 30 seconds. BUT THEY'RE USUALLY OUTRAGEOUS.😂❤
Thank u for always making me laugh & brighten my day.

Chili dog sauce is made thinner and less chili powder in it. Once again it comes down to rather you make a good Dog or Not really not much you can say about it. However it's been around for over 100 years in the U.S.A.

Love the buffalo sauce for wings. I like the taste of vinegar in general. While I do like tomatoes, I don't want them on a burger or sandwich because the juice tends to make the bread mushy.
