I'm right in the middle of a complete respray with this stuff and let me assure you, neither of these guys resprayed their entire vehicles with it (themselves) and certainly NOT in an afternoon with a "few mates & beers". This option is not something you can do in an afternoon, especially if you plan to respray your rig including the door apertures, doors and bonnet inside & out, you also will need to remove your tub or tray if you are uterised. Even if you plan on masking everything up and just shooting the outside panels on a wagon, let us consider that; * You need to thoroughly clean & degrease the vehicle, then let it dry * You need to mask & sand (preferably) past the clear coat * You need to reclean the vehicle with wax & grease remover and tack rag it * You need to then apply grip40 or similar to any plastic (2 coats) then let it flash of 20min * You need to then mix and paint and let me tell you, if you are tinting it you will not be doing it in the bottle - I wouldn't even do the fill, shake shoot thing with black after seeing how viscous it is. * Once mixed you have an hour to get it on or it goes off, you need to wait 60min between coats but if you go more than 5hrs you need to scuff & reclean before recoating * You cannot let it get water on it for at least 72hrs and in my experience you can still damage it by day 2 if you do something thoughtless and have thinned it to use an HVLP gun. You cannot put any load on it for that 72hrs and given my experience I'd say longer if you thinned it. It hardens completely in 7 days. If you are doing it at the moment in cold weather add 30% to the above. Not dissing the product, just letting you know, plan for a week off the road as a minimum unless you would like to try to sand all the bits that aren't falling off by themselves in 12 months. Prep and curing time is absolutely critical.
