In this episode we finally paint the Bogan Bus, as most people know by now we are painting it with Raptor! Typically Raptor gives that blobby texture but we dial it in and get the texture looking so nice with a HVLP gun! The difference this paint has made is insane, the Bogan Bus is not very Bogan anymore! Also at the end of the video we showcase Bogans new 35" wheels and tyres, thing is looking mint! In the 80's that colour was called Bevan Black, Bogan Black in the Southern states.

Did my q bus in raptor, $50 sand blaster from bunnings saved me a tone of time when preping the spots the orbital sander couldnt. Loving the vids!!!

@@RoamLyfe from memory it was 1 20kg bag of sand pit sand from bunnings. Just had to dry it on a tarp in the sun and it worked a treat. It gave the the perfect dusting to help the raptor stick.

Just watched a 2 year review of bedliner finish on a van. He used all different brands of bed liner. He has done several vans/cars, rough and smooth finishes. Conclcusion : the coarser texture is a lot easier to clean and smoother to go over with a washcloth and can be even buffed. The smoother bedliner finish is a lot rougher to touch and dirt sticks to a lot more, is very difficult to clean and just destroys buffer pads, wash cloth do not glide over the surface for cleaning. Something to think of beforehand.
I think you’ve got those mixed up. Smoother = easier to clean.
This channel is so much better than rubbish like Built not Bought.

haha dont know if you realised, but u said the colour was grey before even doing the reveal, when you were talking about not masking the rear doors or doing door jams, you said old mate was going to go over it with some "Grey" rattle can.

How much Raptor & hardiner did you use? Looks like 10% Colour, 10% Thinners & the balance is Raptor & hardliner.
Looks freakin' sick! What spray gun did you use? Can only find a 2.5 tip gun on amazon for 70 dollars. I'm about to raptorline my 79 4x4 toyota pickup in a color-matched cactus grey. All of my accent pieces are going to be satin or gloss black, and my bumper will be black raptorlined. Already did por-15 on the frame. So stoked about this project!
Did you get the paint code from Toyota to do this? I was looking for something similar but local paint shops are quoting me ridiculous amounts to add the tint. Is there some metallic in the paint as well?
