I absolutely love it. Its sophisticated humor that fits the characters brilliantly, and still manages to fit in the framework of a CO & XO military hierarchy.
TNG always did subtle humor. Kind of a toned down version of Manzai, where one of the characters would be the set up and another would allow for a good delivery. Usually it resides on deadpan situational as well.

It's been 27 years since this was filmed and it still makes me laugh. The thought that people would turn off their television sets at the conclusion of this episode and then turn around to their x486 and x586 machines running Windows 3.1 makes me realize just how far we have come...more or less. This was so funny. I also liked the episode where the tribe of proto Romulans (or something) worshipped "THE PICARD". Hilarious. TNG really had it's share of great comedy at times.

This is truly one of the funniest scenes in television history.
The cadence of his line "I'm a role model" sounds like Butthead, which might actually be a legitimate inspiration since Patrick Stewart is on record as being a big fan

The way Picard said "I'm a role model" reminded me of how he said "Chaka, when the walls fell" to the Tamarian first officer.

I love the little sympathetic headshake Riker gives Picard at :17. Like, "...it's rough!" Lololololol
I think we can all agree, that through a decorated and spectacular career in Starfleet, this was Riker's finest moment.

Picard's seriousness in this scene when Riker holds the doll is fucking hilarious.

This was so funny. I also liked the episode where the tribe of proto Romulans (or something) worshipped "THE PICARD". Hilarious. TNG really had it's share of great comedy at times.
This is just so sweet. Kids showing their appreciation of the captain.
