Mathews is a great company. Had to leave my Vertix behind when I recently evacuated a country due to an outbreak of civil war. A buddy contacted Mathews, told them the story of how I lost my bow, and Mathews sent me a new replacement bow. I was already going to buy another Mathews anyways, but they've locked me in for life!
Between Hoyt and Easton, I think it's more selfish than poor...That's why J. Dudley switched to PSE because Hoyt wouldn't even let him make a personal bow to sell to customers and PSE said, "John, here's a Blank check 🏦💰, go make your 🏹."
What people that shoot Hoyt don't understand, is that the company was sold to Easton in 2019, and then bought by an investment group and has changed hands 2 or 3 more times since then. So yall are just making super rich dudes, even richer! Also when Hoyt comes out with a completely new line-up, the old one becomes obsolete because they dont stock limbs, mods, or cams. So if you buy a Hoyt used that's 5 or 6 years old you can't get a new cam or new limb, unless you get lucky and the shop you use has some old stock. Mathews on the other Hand is still owned and presided by Matt McPherson. You can still get really old cams or limbs. You will ALWAYS get better customer service PERIOD! I personally saw a youtuber (not sponsored by either company and spent his own $ to buy both) that has an RX8 and a Lift. After a couple months and 1000s of arrows he picked the Lift. He had issues from both. The Limb issue from the Mathews and a broken set screw in the cam on the Hoyt. Mathews overnighted the limbs and he had them installed and bow tuned back in in less than a week. With the Hoyt, he had to send it in, (pay for shipping) and they passed the buck around everyrime he called to check on the status... Eventually 6 WEEKS LATER, he finally got the bow back. I dont know about you but I woukd be pretty upset that could completely derail someones entire season. When it comes down to it though, the Lift is lighter, quieter, less hand shock , and is 700 cheaper. The only thing better about the Hoyt which I might add from everyone ive heard, is a very slightly better draw. And most like the Mathews better once they got used to it. Hoyts are for guys that only care about THEIR image and what their buddies think of them and or that it makes them superior. Like the same guys who spend 500 to a 1000 on a pair of Jordan's that are limited edition or something, all for clout...... and I bet Half the guys that shoot Hoyt and talk mad shit about Mathews, has NEVER EVEN SHOT ONE! I owned a Hoyt Turbohawk in 2013. It was 28 in draw, a half in too long for me. It was still fairly new but Hoyt just came out with a new line and no longer made carried or sold the cams for my bow anymore. So I shortened my d loop as much as possible and switch to a thumb release to make up for the half in short draw situation and got it to where it was comfortable. COULDN'T group two arrows together to save my life. Draw cycle was horribl, tons of handshock compared to my Browning Illusion I had the year prior. So I bought a Mathews Legacy and started busting the knocks off the ends of my arrows. Night and day difference! I wouldn't shoot a freaking Hoyt of they PAID me. And for any Hoyt fanboy tries to call me a Mathews fanboy, let me stop you because I AM! I've owned bows from literally every manufacturer except Bear and APA. Jennings, Martin, Diamond, Bowtech, PSE, Hoyt, and Mathews. Mathews stands head and shoulders above the rest. Sorry it is what it is I cannot stand Hoyt. It's No wonder they probably had to beg John Dudley to come back after doing him wrong
Chris Bee is the man! I switched to Mathews last year and love it. Such good looking and more importantly good shooting bows. Congrats guys can’t wait to see what y’all put on the ground this year. 👊🏼

I shot mathews for 15 years, but i just switched to bowtech. Simply for the self tuning aspect. I still have the Z7 and switchback and q2. And no cam!! Lol mathews have been my favorite until i shotnthe ss34 by bowtech. But i still bring my no cam as a backup bow hunting out of state. Good luck this coming season! Its coming very quick boys! Cant wait for the videos. Its one of my favorite parts of hunting season os watching my favorite guys kill huge bucks and animals. God bless all 3 of you guys!
Out of the 20+ years of shooting bow I have been team mathews since the day i could pull back a big boy bow. About 17 years now. But I'm firm believer of the best bow is whats fit for the hunter! Congrats and welcome to the family

Now i have a z7 for the past 7 years. Now I'm looking at phase 4 maybe if I can scrape up the bread. Love to watch you guy hunt big buck. I'd rather bust a doe lol!

Ive had 3 z7s 1 z7 extreme 2 switchbacks 1 halon 6 1 halon 5 and one triax Mathews is my absolute favorite I went old school and decided to shoot a z7 extreme this coming season

Going back to the beginning of Mathews - When I started bowhunting, everyone I knew shot Martin in my area. We had one local dealer who carried one brand. Most everyone shot a Cougar Magnum or a Firecat. Around mid-1990s, that local dealer closed his archey shop (to make custom longbows instead). Mathews moved to Sparta, Wisconsin in 1995, and I bought my first Mathews bow in 1996. A new local archery shop just opened that year, & they carried Mathews. I was their 1st customer to buy a Mathews bow at their open house. I shot that Mathews Signature for 17 years (still have it). Meanwhile, I just observed the marketing hype year after year. I learned early on to be content with what I already have, & I focused on buying my own hunting land instead. One of my best friends still shoots the Heli-m (2nd Mathews bow/believe the Q2 was his 1st), which was sort of the end of the SoloCam era (20+ years). I'm not stuck on brands, but Mathews is surely a good one.
I bought the Q2 in 2001 and shot it for 9 years. It wasn't the fastest thing but it was accurate and easy to shoot well. Now I have a V3X and see no reason to trade it for a Phase 4 or anything else.

I shoot hoyt and love it.. no reason to switch… however it sounds like rather than being yourself and being original you caved to what your friends were doing…you can sit here and give me all the reasons matthews is good but Hoyt has all those same qualities if not you would have switched a long time ago.. good luck fellas.. wish you well!!

Probably not easy to walk away from Hoyt. At the same time, you guys made a great decision. Mathews is a great company that is constantly innovating. I also really like how open they are about their faith and belief in Christ. I think most guys in the industry can stand behind those values with pride. 👊🏻

I personally like hoyt better (I've owned both). Not faulting anyone, it comes down to the person, feel etc. But I'm subscribed no matter.. Archery isn't about what bow you shoot.
Love you dudes but I hate it when money and sponsorships come into play. I mean I get it, but for people who pay for their bows, instead of choosing the best for them, they will just get this bow and never even shoot it. Again, I get it. Just sucks

Bought my first Mathew’s back in march, loving every moment so far!
I've always been a Hoyt guy, but next time I need a bow I'm going with whatever fits me the best regardless of brand.

I’ve love Mathews, been shooting the Mathews DXT solo cam for years. In my opinion it’s still one of the best bows to this day.
Honestly, i dont blame yall. I always find myself wanting a mathews. I bought a ventum pro 33 this past Christmas but deep down i still want a mathews

My mom shot Mathews and it's a beautiful quiet bow but I will always love my bowtech. Fast extremely quiet and deadly accurate.

shot matthews my whole life and last year picked up the bowtech SR350 and when i say i’m in love

Probably not easy to walk away from Hoyt. At the same time, you guys made a great decision. Mathews is a great company that is constantly innovating. I also really like how open they are about their faith and belief in Christ. I think most guys in the industry can stand behind those values with pride. 👊🏻

I personally like hoyt better (I've owned both). Not faulting anyone, it comes down to the person, feel etc. But I'm subscribed no matter.. Archery isn't about what bow you shoot.
Love you dudes but I hate it when money and sponsorships come into play. I mean I get it, but for people who pay for their bows, instead of choosing the best for them, they will just get this bow and never even shoot it. Again, I get it. Just sucks
