Getting back to the roots of where you started hunting is so special and meaningful especially the older you get. Memories of the first kill or first buck are so much. Sometimes I get so wrapped up trying to get a Big Buck that I forget what hunting is all about. The stress and worrying about that big buck 24/7 takes the fun away from hunting sometimes imo LoL. My first buck i had a similar experience when i was 15 i couldve swore its rack looked like an elk and i shot about 60 yrds with a slug in a shotgun and barely grazed his brisket and never found him. So i know how you feel about starting the passion to succeed the next time on a big one. Just killed a big 9 point East TN mountain buck last weekend on the same property and brought back a lot of great memories.
Man I used to help Mr Norman manage that place!! It’s such a beautiful property! I actually met you and held Thors rack! I saw the food plot and new right away
Bc of you, I was able to get my grandma out hunting. Granted, it was from the bed of my truck. It took me, my neighbors Bill and Joe, my dad, uncle will, and a good Samaritan who happened to walk by when we needed help. Anyway, she shot a 140. Got her a mountain dew to celebrate 💯
Just like to say I appreciate y’all having a good Godly testimony on TH-cam and I just want to say thank you because my parents are strict with what I watch because they don’t want me exposed to some of the junk in the world and my family loves watching y’all and hope y’all get some more big deer this season . Just have patience man. Learn what bucks want and need in on a property and spend as much time as you can scouting before season. Always remember, big bucks are killed before the season even starts with planning and scouting
hunted all my life here in columbia, sc and never shot a good buck, have only seen one deer in probably my last 25 sits. its hard to keep the drive for hunting but this is what its all about! we like these videos as much if not more than just chasing monsters. keep it up lee

I missed the first 3 bucks I shot at then finally killed my first buck it was a 82” 7 point and I then missed a huge deer (120-130”) 8 point.
