  • What is the best midline bow for this year!? I think its important to not soley focus on all the flagship bows because there are a few more affordable options out there. DONT get me wrong! these are still INCREDIBLE bows and have unlimited potential! So dont get distracted by them not being "flagship bows" theyre a fair tier higher than a "Budget" bow and I think thats what makes them valuable to so many people!
    You dont need the "best" bow or most "expensive" bow out there to succeed bowhunting! If I were you Id highly reccomend getting to your nearest bow shop and shooting these and see for yourself which one shoots best for you! Tell them Haxen Hunt told you to shoot them all and not only one or two.

    Your review is based on opinion and perceived feel and vs. facts with one exception, speed. The Darton was the second fastest bow with a 400 grain arrow. The Consequence has machined aluminum limb pockets vs plastic on most other bows. Darton has larger axles and bearings than its competitors.The Consequence limb bolt are threaded into a steel pivoting barrel vs drilling and tapping directly into an aluminum rise like Elite does.The Darton limbs are wider then all of its competitors which makes it a more stable shooting platform especially when compared to the Bowtech and Elites extremely narrow limbs. Darton has a machined aluminum roller guard instead 50 year old cable slide and cable bar technology that is found on the Elite and Bowtech. The Consequence has a smoother draw force curve when measured and plotted on a graph. The Consequence also has the longest brace height 7.75" without sacrificing speed which also makes it a more forgiving bow to shoot.The sequence offers higher quality components compared to the Bowtech, Hoyt, and Elite and is the least expensive bow out of the bunch. Your biggest complaint on the Darton is it's a top heavy bow, no different then 99% of any Mathews bow that has been manufactured in the last 10 years. When a stabilizer with 3 ounces of weight (which is what most stabilizers come with) is installed it is no longer top heavy and balances very well. Mass weight is a positive and negative when it comes to bows. fact is heavier bows are more stable and aim better but lighter bows are more comfortable to carry all day. Percieved feel is a very personal thing and every shooter perceives noise, vibration, back walls, jumpiness, and draw cycle differently. In the end go out and shoot all of them and find out what draws the best for you, holds the steadiest, with a recoil, vibration, and noise that is executable to you. Sorry if this comes across critical but you left out a lot of important information. the more information a person has the better chance they will make the right decision when it comes time to pick out a new bow.

    My Bear Alaskan XT is the best bang for the buck. After I got it set up and tuned, it shot quieter than the Mathews Lift, and putting arrows into the 9/10 ring on a 80cm target at 60 yards. And it's only around $530 bow only.

    Darton has a neutral riser due to the 7.5” brace height. It’s going to roll back just like a target bow would. Darton is the only one with a roller cable guard. Has a wider limb stance.

      Definitely sounds like that Hybrid Cam is out of time in that Torrex, the wanting to jump forward is a classic symptom of that in any hybrid cam setup, the Bear DHC are notorious for it as well if the top cam is running behind the bottom, it almost want to jerk you forward into it if you let up even just a little.

    Good video that will help a lot of people. Not everyone is looking to spend the big money on a flagship bow.
    I do have to correct you on one thing though about the Darton bow you said it was top heavy but that's actually bottom heavy. If a bow tilts back like that. Which is actually a good thing. That's how PSE designs their target bows too. It makes it so you can use much less weight on your stabilizers to get the same effect that more weight woupd give on top heavy bows.

      Yea, no...

    • @HaxenHunt
      @HaxenHunt  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If it was bottom heavy it would keep a solid base and stay straight up, causing the need of less stabilizer weight up front. Just curious as to your thoughts on how that is bottom heavy when the top of the bow wants to be at the bottom, how is that not top heavy?

      Do you understand physics, like, at all?

    • @UrMom_says
      @UrMom_says 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @MonstaFreak13 do you understand archery at all ? This isn't a science issue it's archery lingo and when something is called "top-heavy" if it falls forward like a Mathews bow. If the bottom kicks out at the shot naturally it's called "bottom heavy". Doesn't matter if that's scientifically accurate or not. If you're trying to be a grammer nazi then every bow on the market is bottom heavy because every Riser has more metal above the grip than below. But that doesn't describe what it's doing based on ergonomics. So the correct lingo is whichever end kicks forward is called the heavier end.
      You probably haven't been shooting long enough to understand all that but you're welcome for the education. Any other REAL LIFE archery tips you need I'd be happy to help. Since I'm clearly more knowledgeable
