My dream is becoming an Endocrinologist, however I can't find much information on how competitive it is in AUS, especially for IMGs (and especially those who don't have any contacts in AUS). Do you know anything about this field? Thank you!

And could you please add different pathways, like a pathway for IMGs who just have MBBS and for those who have completed their Core Training of initial 2-3 years?

There’s nothing ever going to be like lack of medical jobs. Doctors will always be needed. Mind you, Australia is a continent way more bigger than the UK. So please it’s illogical to compare both.
You are completely oblivious to the ground realities of the modern day world! Here are some facts: 1) Australia is just geographically gigantic as compared to the UK which is a small island. However, a country’s geographical size has no impact on its job market! What matters is the country’s population! Australia has just under 28 million inhabitants as opposed to the UK which has over 68 million people! Smaller population translates to fewer job opportunities! This is basic! 2) In the UK, allied healthcare professionals are increasingly being trained who can and are doing all the junior doctor jobs (example: physician assistants doing ascitic tapping, seeing patients independently in GP clinics etc). The UK government is trying to encourage training of these professionals in order to minimise reliance on doctors as it’s a cheaper alternative. This could well be replicated in Australia too! Consequently, there are hardly any junior doctor jobs available in the UK for IMGs! 3) Australia is producing loads of its own doctors too! So, it’s unlikely they’ll need to recruit more doctors from overseas. So, no…. Doctors may not always be in demand as governments and healthcare systems could develop ways to tackle shortage of healthcare professionals without relying on overseas trained doctors!
