So theres a really important thing that people arent keeping in mind. reversing someones controls in a fighting game is a fucking instant loss for your opponent..which instantly makes shinji top tier if not the best character. the best they could have done is force you into constant 50/50's which is how he describes the technique being read to Aizen. so its still lore accurate, just not completely broken.
yea but ofc no one takes their time to think about it like that, ppl just want broken stuff without realizing how broken it is, and then will complain when they fight a shinji
Yes but the trailer failed to show well that 50/50 aspect. Only after reading that last text i had to go back to the trailer and guess a lot to imagine where those 50/50 fits in what were shown.
@@ErickDarkArts Sadly that's the case for quite a few characters. Rangiku for example has a description that says Haineko allows her to control her opponents movements, but there's nothing really in her kit (that we've seen) that showcases that. Gin also has has a passive where he deals more damage by hitting folks with the tip of his blade and the closer they are to him the less damage he deals.
@@ErickDarkArts Exactly it's not a 50/50. Everything shown you can just block or wait out. If your a masher then he's going to be dangerous. Besides that he's extremely mid. If the advanced part of the counter was a command grab that beats guard or they showed the attack they have Guard Breaking then yes it'd be an actual 50/50. So far it's extremely bad an makes him seem like one of the worst characters shown. An I'm a huge Shinji fan. He can't get anything done in Anime/Manga an gets hoed in the game too 😢
Tsunade, Gekitou Ninja Taisen, reverses controls, let alone game breaking it was barely used. you can balance it in a way it's no big deal. they dont have to make it last for an entire match and no cost. you can have it have a long startup or you'd have to connect a hit for an animation, whatever. how about the effect would wear off once Shinji hits the opponent following inverted world, or the opponent manages to last 5 seconds without getting hit. I can come up with a dozen things on the spot so it wouldnt be broken..
Shinji _is_ about mind games. He has a counter, an unblockable, and a pseudo-puppet for pressure. If you play too passive, you get comboed by Hiyori and Shinji. If you block Hiyori, you risk getting hit by the unblockable. If you get too aggressive, you risk getting countered. They're all solid tools designed to cover for one another.
@@calebnelson58no in most fighting games they just change the opponents Movement directions. An it works well in those games cause they are Hold backwards to block fighters. This one has a Block button making Shinji s reversing your inputs movement oriented alone. The incentive to break out of it could be hitting Shinji which is where his counter would come into play but no. We don't get to have any fun. An just like OG poster said Just Mash with out remorse either you hit him or get countered
Sorry, mate. I can’t agree with you. I think they did Shinji justice with what they had with. As many people have said already, reversing the opponent’s controls is an instant loss.
Yeah completely agree. He was complaining about shikia while the trailer shows him using is release and one of the moves says it works differently while he has it released. To be fair I think all These trailers only shown a snippet of what is possible with the characters.
The game has a Block button. An typically fighting games allow you to get out of reverse inputs just by hitting the opponent or you could just wait it out. An looking at Tosen an his Bankai I think it'd be fair an in character for Shinji to reverse inputs. Also his special counter move is not a 50/50 all of it loses to Blocking. He does the counter an you don't attack him he is open for attack, he does the advanced version of the counter an since the game has a block button you'll most likely just auto block it. It's gonna be strong against mashers but besides that it's not good at all
@@defianthound407 A block button doesn't fix all your problems when your controls are reversed. A good player knows how to get around block (that's one of the things you have to learn in a fighting game). It's very hard to stop your opponent from getting around you if your controls are reversed. Also any good player knows how to use a counter correctly, you don't just throw it out, you have to wait for the right moment. That's like saying UI Goku's counter in FighterZ sucks cuz "you could just not attack him", when that's never how a counter works in actual gameplay.
@@CaptKami18 the block button gets around Shinji's "50/50" if he throws out the counter you just don't interact with it, if he does the enhanced version it's not an unblockable so you can also guard against that. He has the Unblockable every character in the game has his just Gives him Sakanade gauge. Meaning there has to be a way around the Unblockable like evading it rather than sitting there and blocking. If the Unblockable had the same start up animation as the Counter and switched to the Unblockable out of nowhere then it'd be better. Glowing Blue is a huge tell to attempt to evade. An yeah the counter is supposed to be an extra layer that stays in the back of your opponents mind to second guess if they want to attack or if your going to do it. But if your paying attention there is no point to ever interact with it. Unless your a Masher. Reversing inputs would make the counter much stronger. Common ways to get out of Reverse inputs in fighting games is hit the opponent. If you see someone reversed an they attempt to mash out of it you could counter them.
@@CaptKami18 people are all assuming reverse inputs mean attack buttons. In no fighting game I have ever played with reverse inputs reverse your actual attack buttons. Just your directional inputs. In a push back to block fighting game with mix ups it's brutal but it's not the end of the match an you can still win. An why would Shinjis Shinki change your attack buttons. The ability just changes your perception of reality the enemy could still do any attack they wanted against Shinji which is why Bambi was still able to blow him up. So it's be most understandable for it to just be directional inputs. I don't even believe there is a grab in the game so your just left to either guard break the opponent with strings or with the Unblockable attack. Which is most likely dodge able on reaction.
In the same world that a character would take the enemy's vision away, which is already shown to be the case. It would be for limited time, mashing, guarding, ect. would still be in the same place. If we got at least the map rotated (and no messing with the controls) would be cool enough.
@@SebastianNilsson-x9nyall act like mortal kombat and other games haven’t had invisible characters before? It’s an inversion of that and plus when you’re close Tousen is visible. It’s actually balanced.
@@Rennnix he doesn’t even do that. Just creates a fog of war around you. He still has to get in that distance so it’s ultimately fine…. Also you get your vision back over time. It’s hardly the same as handing a win to your opponent by having your controls reversed
they dont fumbled with shinji , They turned the Shikai's inverting power into Mixup power, it has a Sakanade status bar that releases the Shikai and changes the moves, if you have the Shikai released you can call the Hiyori without interrupting your own movements, you can turn the Parry into a Follow Up attack and the Unblockable attack gains more power. He's completely a mixup character , You can condition your opponent in a number of different ways.
There is no Mix Up. His counter you could just not interact with it. His Unblockable glows blue so it's reactable we don't know how good the movement is in the game but hopefully it's good enough to avoid point blank attacks like this, his extension from his counter isn't Unblockable so just block it. If the Unblockable had the same starting animation as his walking counter then it would be a mix up. It'd pray on the players reactions of should I block an wait out the counter stance or should I evade. Hes more of a Gambling character. Let's say you have someone in a long block string you can use the counter if you think they are mashing and not respecting your pressure. Everyone has an unblockable attack so it's nothing special besides it charging his Sakanade. An I'd see his Counter extension being useable for combos like summon Hiyori extend off of her attack with the Counter extension an depending on your meter you go for Unblockable or continue pressure into random Counter attack stopping the opponent from taking their turn. If it works it can make the enemy mad an makes the counter more valuable over time. An it's useless if you fight anyone who knows what's going on. Well not useless it's still a layer someone has to always keep in their mind before they attack.
@@defianthound407i think what you are missing is that his Signature move actually changes between a counter and and unblockable. The breakdowns are coming out. So he doesn’t have just one unblockable. He has 3 breakers. His normal breaker, his Sp2 that enhances his signature and his signature move one shikai is released. Signature move actually has the same startup animation, you have to either press neutral for counter or forward for the breaker. Also, Miyori only leaves if she gets attacked or attacks. Im reading she might also have a breaker version.
@purplepineapple7893 from what we are shown his Unblockable is a separate move an has a different animation. We'll see in later trailers but so far they failed to show any actual mix or mind games
@@defianthound407 The additional info he’s talking about can be found on the official website, these trailers never fully show off the character. He’s got a lot of mix up potential.
People are so unreasonable. Come on now, you can't give a character the ability to reverse an opponent's controls, that's too broken. The crazy thing is that if they did it, the moment the game releases, everyone would complain that Shinki is spoiling the game and too broken and needs to be patched smh Then they'd praise developers for a patch making him what he is now
Resurrecting characters, 2-hit kills, blindness, perma poison. But we draw the line at inverting the movement stick in a game where movement happens by attack spamming and teleporting?
Slowest 2 hit kill in the world. Its not even real blindness just straight up reduced vision which wouldnt matter because this is a sword fighting game. Poison in fighting games has never been op just stop lol@SebastianNilsson-x9n
@@SebastianNilsson-x9nresurrection can be accounted for in balance, same with the 2 hit kill, the poison isnt free damage it just boosts the damage when mayuri gets a hit. Reverse control would need to be exceedengly nerfed or have some vrazy requirement to work and the whole reason people want it is because "show accuracy" so it is pointless to try to add an uncompetitive mechanic if you can do it in other ways. I am kinds dissapointed it isnt shown in some way during gameplay (have shinji downwsrds for an attack animation or smth), but overall i preffer if the game focuses on cool gameplay rather than plain show accuracy
Idk why people would want him to reverse your controls. That would be completely broken. No one wants to plays against broken characters. Look at Akuma from T7, Z Broly from Sparking, SSJ4 Gogeta from Fighterz. No one wants to deal with that.
Look at Tosen who hides in the shadows, Soi Fon can 2 shot you, Renji smashes you with Zabumaru. The game isn't supposed to be balanced it's supposed to feel like the anime. An do not compare Any character in the game with T7 akuma. Also people don't mind fighting Ssj4 Gogeta it's the other fusions that's annoying
To be honest, reversing your opponents' controls would be very radical. The Tosen Bankai is much less unfair. Them not giving that to Shinji makes sense because how would you reliably prep for it in a meta? If they put that in the game and made it broken then everyone would play Shinji. So you would learn how to deal with it over time, but I don't think the game developers would want 90% of the player base to use Shinji because of that ability and force them to learn how to counter Shinji's reverse controls. Also, there might be more to this character because they don't show everything in the trailers. They didn't even explain what the Sakanade-enhanced state is.
I don’t think the ability would be as unbalanced, but hypothetically, I think the devs would want players to try and master playing against a character because: -That could create memes, memes would create a culture, a culture means a dedicated fanbase for the game -There could be more play time for the game which would be good for the future of the franchise I don’t know the future but is that not what happened with Jeff in Marvel Rivals
@@wholesomecup102 if this was correct then they would've added the reverse to shinji. Since that didn't happen. You would have to find a different explanation
@@jaartisjones5713 I don’t think you got my point. Neither you, me, nor the developers have no way of knowing what would have happened (It’s impossible for Developers don’t know how players will react) However, most competitive games have an “optimal” strategy or a “meta” way of playing or characters. It does not necessarily mean that the “meta” will scare people away. In most cases, it creates a culture because people can relate or other reasons… Having a culture and a fanbase is good for longevity
This is a Anime arena fighter people will play the characters they enjoy. Sparking Zero became what it was cause the casuals left the game after seeing how sweaty people are. If Shinji could mess with your inputs you'd definitely be still dealing with more Hitsugaya, Grimmjow, Aizen, Ichigos, Chads etc. Then you would Shinjis.
I just need you to imagine a lobby, full of shinjis inverting your controls randomly, i don't know about y'all, but I'd probably break my controller. Just saying
I don’t like how he only has his Shikai out when using certain attacks. They keep doing this with characters in this game and it doesn’t make sense. The unique sword designs are part of the coolness of bleach. Yet a bunch of characters barely use their Shikai. People are gonna say he needs to have his sealed sword out for story purposes but his moveset uses hiyori and his Shikai a bunch anyway. For his story fight against grimmjow he’s gonna have all his moves locked. It’s not unique to this game but people are way too against criticism. It’s far from a perfect game.
Shinji’s gameplay fits perfectly- his abilities, including his Shikai as signature moves, balance effectiveness without being broken. Reversing controls in Awakening alone would’ve been overpowered, but they nailed replicating his fight with Aizen. Critics saying they "fumbled" aren’t seeing the bigger picture.
Any of you has ever thought that maybe the "Inverted world" is made by a visual perspective? Let's recall what happens in the anime usually: Shinji activates Sakanade and his opponent visibility is inverted. How do we see this though? The victim is in fact able to move wherever he/she wants, it's just that the position of the things seen is inverted! To make it more easy to understand, when Aizen attacks Shinji in the anime, we see Shinji disappear and appear just behind Aizen, just like in the game! In conclusion, Sakanade doesn't invert movement, it invert sight, and I think the devs adapted this concept very well in the game.
@SebastianNilsson-x9n to me it's more lore accurate: in the anime Shinji "teleports" right when enemies attack, so it's just natural to make that a counter
Exactly, Shinji's Sakanade is literally just an optical illusion and said so by all the characters. Everything around the person becomes reversed but was Shinji hyping himself up, Aizen even says that it's just a visual difference. Matter of fact they should invert Shinji's controls instead because Shinji is the one who works in reverse when somebody is under Sakanade.
Yeah, not surprised they didn't actually feature his inversion at all considering they said they were planning for an actually balanced game. I mean, they even made Aizen's moveset more about his raw power and Hogyoku, and all Kyoka Suigetsu got was a single get-out-of-jail-free card for when he gets hit with a Kikon move for the first time. Shinji's inversion is a literal game-breaker if used accurately, and could also mess with the Shinji player if playing locally, so I can't say I'm surprised they opted to make him more mix-heavy with counters and unblockables to at least emphasize how annoying he is to fight without the matchup knowledge.
To be fair, they haven’t shown everything he can do his Kikon could potentially make your controls wonky for a while, or just mess with your sense of direction. but I hope from what we’ve seen of Shinji, and what we haven’t seen of Shinji mixes well, and makes him a fun character to play
honestly i like the direction they picked for shinji. No he doesn't reverse your controls - which would be cool thematically, but for a competitive fighting game it would be disgusting to play against and bad for the actual health of the game. However he's still mind-gamey which fits his theme.
No they didn’t they cannot implement him inverting controls in the game it’s too broken you guys would be complaining left and right, he has an unblockable as one of his spm move and also very counter heavy. This is not a game where they’re going to let broken stuff fly all around
They can make a super that has 50% debuff hit chance. Make it a coin flip if your controls are messed up, making people either turtle, or learn the new temporary controls
@@DiceDragoI mean they already having you guess between counter, nothing and guard break in multiple attacks from ppls breakdowns so you are constantly guessing which version of the attack he’s doing . Apparently this is for signature, and Hiyori and spiritual pressure 2.
You missed on this take. yall want a reverse control gimmick to be accurate but it's all fun n games until you fight it. Up is down left is right front is back and in this case your controls are fucked. it sounds fun until you fight it
I actually really like what they did with this. Control reversing would have been a nightmare, but I think what they did here represents his abilities very well. It basically takes the idea of his reversing ability making him much harder to hit/fight against by giving him abilities that create an idea of him being hard to hit. I was really hoping they wouldn’t actually give him the reversal of controls even though he will probably be one of my mains so I like what they did
"Hes doing his counter, guess I'll block and punish. He sent Hiyori, guess I'll block and punish. He is going in super close, guess I'll hit him before he does his unblockable." Opposite of 50/50 all of his shit is hyper obvious and predictable the first 100/0 character
@@SebastianNilsson-x9n Didn’t know you played the game before and somehow won’t ever get hit by his unblockable which is just as fast as other special moves in this games.
Alright everyone hold your horses. This is NOT a fumble. It’s NOT the end of the world! Remember these trailers don’t show the characters entire moveset. It’s possible this Shinji has a RE-Awakening and that is when he unleashed his Shiki. I say that because there are shots in Shinji special trailer where he’s fighting with both the Hollow Mask and Shiki. So calm the heck down, alright!? Also why do people care about Hiyori? Honestly her being part of Shinji moveset fits. She probably literally the one character that doesn’t nearly have enough in her kit to be a separate character.
she's playable in a lot more games before, and finding a kit for a moveset is not hard at all for her and a lot more characters you're not even thinking off. I rather have her in the game than not, kinda like Pesche, would be cool to have them playable and I would play them, but not too bummed about it.
If they put it in people wouldn’t stop complaining this isn’t a miss, they gave an unblockable he’s gonna be playing mind games if you don’t know his moves you’re gonna be cooked
@@SebastianNilsson-x9n shut that corny mess down immediately... Tosen's kit is WAAAY more balanced than just inverting someone's control. It's hilarious that you morons unironically think otherwise. 🤦♂
How would making you blind work? The game designers job is to figure out a way to make the character work while staying faithful. This character is a failure to do so. "Making souls fight each other is too big if a task so we made each fight into litteral rock, paper, scissors. Its unfair to have different powers from your opponent." Sounds like a pretty dogshit excuse right? Soifon can win in 2 hits, Tosen makes you blind, Mayuri makes you eat dmg nonstop. But we assume they are all balanced fairly? Why do we assume its impossible to do something like that for inverted controls? The movement in the game seems to come mostly from attacking and teleporting anyway
@SebastianNilsson-x9n the difference is when blind you still face you opponent in this game and tosen still has to get in that range to deal dmg it just means you have to be faster at time strikes but if your controls are inverted for however long even 2 or 5 seconds thats just freedom to get a beatdown with no way to deal with it
@@SebastianNilsson-x9nalao shinji doesnt invert someones movement he flips what they see. If they walk forwars they walk forward but if they try to block his attack from the front them they miss because he is inverted in their eyes and actually attack from behind
Whoever is saying Shinji should reverse your controls don't understand Shinji's zanpakto at all. It doesn't invert the opponent's movements it's just a optical illusion and only controls sight which is why it's just a worse Kyoka Suigetsu in that regard. It's just a illusion and that's all it is. Aizen would be more accurate to invert your inputs because he actually controls all your senses.
I actually think the hiyori move was really funny. She doesnt have a kido type zanpakto from what I remember so there really isn’t much they could do with her unless they make her and the other visords a group character like the ice climbers from smash bros or something
Honestly I liked Shinji’s trailer and moveset because he was one of the possible broken characters that would have ruined the overall game experience because of his illusory abilities ( I hope that my English was good enough I’m not a native speaker)
Everyone wishing for reverse controls are the same ones who cried about yajirobi. It’s lore accurate for him to have unlimited sensu beans why did you guys cry about it? Oh cause it’s not fair lol. If you nerds ruin this game with your complaints I hope they stop making anime games.
I'm glad they're not going over the top with possibly broken gimmicks. As much fun as reversing an opponents controls would be it would be incredibly frustrating in competitive play.
@@SebastianNilsson-x9n That isnt nearly as broken, you can still play while blinded, you just have reduced information of what is happening forcing you to play defensively. Inverting your controls basically means you cant play at all.
As much as I'm loving Bleach Rebirth of Souls, they really need some better translation on some of these trailers because sometimes theyre needlessly confusing or missing necessary conext.
Pesche & Dondochakka, Nemu and now Hiyori. Who is next? Its such an annoying thing cus its probably not cheap to make a model just for a single move, but its so unsatisfying to see them redo it over and over. One less character for the roster and one less unique move for the character
I think "Mind Game" might be a unique gage that utilizes inverted world in some way! Or maybe the opponent's controls get reversed by getting hit by his attacks when release state is active. Hopefully.
its mostly that shinji has a 50/50 on whats hes gonna do, thats the thing with the whole mind games part so that theres something special to him to replace that whole inverted brokenness that they can't add
One thing about fighting games that has to be understood is that implementing something exactly as it is in the source material is not always a good thing. Shinji is definitely an example in this case seeing as how his ability would probably, if not just straight up be the most cancerous thing in the game. Would it be cool if he could reverse opponents' controls like in the anime? Sure cause it'd be accurate to the source material. Should he be able to? For the sake of balancing and everyone's enjoyment, absolutely not cause it's still a game people have to play and have fun with, and I highly doubt anyone would enjoy Shinji running rampant online reversing everyone's controls
Seeing Hiyori reduced to just one move is kinda painful. I think it'd be neat to have a proper tag team duo character at least, maybe with White Ichigo and "Zangetsu" swapping in and out.
I love watching these videos of you reacting to new characters, but I felt like you were overly negative for this one. With other characters, like Yamamoto, you don't understand what he does yet, but you say you are excited to see how he will work. With Shinji, however, you are already saying they fumbled the character. My impression of the trailer is that we didn't really see how the shikai really works, just like how we didn't really see how Yamamoto's gauge works. Not trying to be hateful, as I watch almost all of your videos, I just felt like you weren't giving Shinji a chance like you were with other characters.
Exactly we don’t know really know how any characters play, just look at the footage that we got last week we’ve seen gin different that we did not see in the character trailer
Shinji is a character with a very clear expectation for how he will work. Invert movement controls. Thats it. All you gotta figure out as a game designer is how to trigger it and how long it will last. Not even hinting at any inversion, saying his awakening does nothing and also cramming Hiyori into his moveset that was already lacking his main gimmick as well as probably removing another beloved character from the roster. Yea, thats a pretty fucking disappointing trailer as a christmas present
@@SebastianNilsson-x9n I 100% see where you are coming from. However, imo there is still more to see with how this character will work, as well as every other character in the game, like what @MoonlightMaskG was saying. I understand why some are disappointed with this trailer, but I think it is too early to give up hope yet.
@@SebastianNilsson-x9nhe doesnt invert your movement in the anime, he just messes with what you see being flipped. So if he attacks from one side he actually strikes from the other but its not like if someone walks forward their legs will start walking backwards
Tbh I Think They Did Him Correctly. Making Reverse Controls A Kikon Move. (Stock Finisher) Was Accurate Because If It Was A Spiritual Pressure Move It Would Be Game Breaking. They definitely did good but they didn’t do “great” (by the standards that they set with previous characters with gimmicks such as Tosen, Soi fon, Kenpachi Toshiro or Mayuri) Shinji has one of the most unique abilities in Bleach and offers the possibility for a unique moveset. However he has moves that every other character in the game has… Beside Shinji and maybe Kyoraku and Komamura, I can’t think of other characters that will offer opportunities for much creative liberty in their moveset.

@@ofizz300 Two things: 1- If you trust the devs to deliver a good game adaptation that is loyal to the original manga, why do you feel insecure in their creativity to deliver a unique character with abilities that are essential to his characterization without compromising on the balance of their game? 2- There is no “me and Globku and them.” There are no sides. To me, you are coming across a little defensive. We all want this game to succeed. Neither you, nor me, nor Globku knows what would have been best because none of us got to play this game. We are talking speculatively based on the trailer. My reception of the trailer is that they could have done more to make Shinji stand out like giving him his main abilities in a refreshing way. That’s my take. He is still a good character just doesn’t feel unique to me rn, that’s all
@SebastianNilsson-x9n It will be opposite; he will be picked a lot more due to "Professional control mode," you see those moves that he goes in front of and behind enemy? Yeah, you can manually control those in professional control mode.
Big disappointment if his full shikai release is just a kikon move. I understand that inverting controls is frustrating, but all they had to do is make left movement go right and forward go backward. Not the whole time but in a certain range of his or a certain times with a clear que that your in it. He told aizen do you smell that and that's when it began to flip everything. So he can activate it and every 10 seconds he says a line do you smell that and for idk 5 seconds your controls get flipped. With this i feel the best "competitive " players will know oh now left is right and so on and adapt accordingly. Shinji player has advantage and defending player can still fight back. Here's to hoping since we didn't see it all
I'll say it, them making characters like Hiyori potentially non-playable and only summon able makes me scared for Orihime. Rangiku has had 5 fights that are canon and 1 of them are in the TYBW arc. Only one of those fights she actually sort of wins, the others were either interrupted or in the case with Harribel’s fracciónes, were turned into a boss fight in which she lost. Same with Izuru, he only had 5 fights (1 of which was in the TYBW arc), and he loses all but 1. Hiyori on the other hand has 4 fights (2 of which happen in a flashback while 1 of those 2 are against generic hollows). She is then seen fighting Ichigo (which I can see as a story only fight) and attempting to fight Aizen and quickly defeated by Gin. Then when you get to Orihime, she fights Numb Chandelier after awakening her powers (and wins), which would be a cool story moment, both attempts at fighting back against Yammy and Ulquirora were futile, and when trying to help protect Ichigo against Tesla Lindocruz, she failed. Some filler parts of the canon episodes have them all fighting a bit more but I went to the strictly canon information. I can see characters like Rangiku and Izuru strictly being added for story related reasons and they were just useful enough to be considered playable. However, I hope that they still add her because it would be bs if one of the main characters weren't added because she didn't fight as much.
People in comments say if he had an ability to reverse controls he would be OP and everyone else will be just playing him and i agree with that it might be OP to give him that but not giving him anything is also lame he's just so basic like this is just lack of creativity from the devs there's nothing special about him to make people want to play him i guarantee you if that's all he can do he'll be the least played character in the game. Shit even Kira looks more interesting to play
I think they should have given him a stance that with 3 strikes that look exactly the same but, they can hit from behind, high and have one be a grab. A true mixup
His signature is a 3 options. Same animation but you get to choose a counter, a nothing or an invincible. Apparently this is for other attacks as well but you get that.
I know he's not next but I'm gonna try predict Shunsui's moveset. He'll be in sealed zampakto, don't know about signature move but he'll likely use bushogoma as a proyectile and a slash combo as the other spiritual move. His awakening would be his shikai and to addapt his games his new spiritual moves would be the shadows, firts either a trap in the ground or a long range ground attack; the other maybe he calls nanao for an attack. One of his Kikon moves needs to be his iconic sneak attacks, either the hat or the backstab, and the other one the color game finish he used against stark. Very likely he'll have a unique gage, maybe for games or the color.
When has Shunsui ever fought in a sealed Zanpakuto state? He'll have his dual Zanpakuto out from the start and his awakening would only activate their games ability.
@@ChrisMS0815 He used them against Chad and Stark. This is similar to Urahara, who begins sealed, can use shikai abilities in special moves and awakens to shikai
I actually understand this is like the same thing with Aizen he will be way too broken with hypnosis reversing someone controls is crazy. The game will die and like a month because of that definitely in ranked.
So, I've paid very little attention to the announcements around this game due to lack of interest in another arena fighter. If the game's story ends at the Ichigo/Aizen fight, why would his Bankai be in his moveset? It wasn't introduced yet. Inverted World, while it'd be cool to see, would be an immediate win for any Shinji player, good or bad, since it would invert your opponent's controls if it lasted for more than a few moments.
Because Inverted World is his Shikai. Shinji's Bankai changes who people see as their friends and enemies (which is kinda impossible to do in a game like this), his Shikai is the one that inverts the targets senses
@@gumbodawg5793 I didn't say Inverted World was part of his Bankai... I said that, while it'd be cool to see, it'd be an instant-win button if it was anything more than a cutscene attack.
His spiritual pressure move is him using Sakanade as an unblockable attack. My guess is they went with the unblockable attack because of Sakanade’s inversion abilities. What the players want from that inversion is a chance to turn the tide and land a few good hits while the enemy is flailing around. If that’s the case, it seems like the unblockable attack they gave us in the trailer skips all that nonsense and gets straight to what the player wanted, a signature move that leads to damage output.
So I have a theory about Shinji's signature move When I looked back at the trailer a couple times I caught that the second version of it is done with a flick forward. So that means that if you've released his shikai he gets both the Parry and the Attack and since they both have the same startup animation he gets a 50/50
@SebastianNilsson-x9n because if you try and block the counter version you can't punish him because you wouldn't have the time. He would just be able to continue putting pressure on you or just grab
I think not having the inverted world, while super disappointing, should probably have been excorticated since Aizen also dint really have Kyoka Sugetsu in his moves and will probably use it in some sort of kikon move. Its sad but also kind of accurate since these abilities were used as finishers and didn't really have a prolonged battle using them
@@Psycamore your right but it still proves the point that, while Aizen could be doing crazy illusions he really only uses it to counter killing blows, same as shinji's cero and shikai really only used for the kill.
I think people are freaking out on this. Reversing the controls is not that broken to be honest. Like just do the controls make moving right instead of left and front instead of back, it's not that deep or broken like people are saying. They didn't need to mess up the butons to attack, just the movement would be great. Or if they didn't want to invert the movement at all they could flip the screen up side down. And after all I just said, it also didn't need to permanent! Just like in the anime/manga the enemy can adapt to the invertion as the time passes (like the battle vs Aizen in the anime for exemple) so the game could depicted that with the invertion ability fading trhough out the time. And if you STILL think that this is super broken or stuf like that, the game could balanced it nerfing Shinji status (like giving him a 2/5 in attack and a 2/5 in defense also) to compensate the "brokeness". Sorry if I wrote something wrong, English is not my native language.
Correction they didn’t fumble shinji lmao his attacks r broken making stuff upside down would annoy players. In the anime and manga it’s fire 🔥 but it’s great what thy did
in his special trailer we see him grouped up with other Soul Reapers but no other Visoreds or even Ukitake. Probably meaning they've been deconfirmed. at least Kyōraku and Komamura are confirmed
Yeah the fumble in shinji moveset why they couldn't just do hollowfication as spiritual pressure moves that act like install super where it just increase his damage and add more combo to his basic attack instead make it into awakening, so why not just make his shikai awakening and add another gauge or debuffing effect that can reverse how character move in game like how they do to kira awakening oh man😢
That shot of shinji with the other captains is straight from the manga/anime but it might also confirm that Love, Rose, and Lisa are not playable since they are supposed to be in the shot.
they could have easily included Inverted World as a special with lasting 3-5 seconds making it a one decision / combo thing for mixup, with lower reward, its not like they had to make it last for rest of the fight. also Shunsui and Koma are as good as confirmed. When facing Aizen they have Kira in there while he should be on the ground. but no Kove or Rose, while even if they are unplayable, they should have included them if its just a story thing. but having Kira but no Love or Rose suggests they wanted to put the playable characters there on the group shot.
There was a article someone filled the entire gameplay mechanics, even explaining deeper about kikkon moves. It only can be achieved by red health to do it. You can also do it by having them soul breaked at zero health gauge to. If the opponent has white health, attempt a kikkon, they will go in a instant recovery state and gaurd the kikkon that's why it's a clash. Never seen a Arena fighter do this, so no it's a fighting game. Usually always confirm ults in other games if you make a slip movement and get hoed... ahem jump force- what else? Yes the characters are always focused at each other to. They have 8 ways directional movement when using step. It's like a dodge button which is the X button on Playstation. What people describe characters are moving sluggish, its cause you have to mash faster. I seen ichigo moving crazy fast on the story trialer when slashing kenpachi. Example like genshin, when you attack and stop and they will do a pretty idle animation. I seen ichigo did one light attack and stop, his idle animation made him turn around back with his blade behind his back. This game is literally cooked with love. That's tamsoft. What else, in the Festa article. There will. Be more game modes to. It be funny if rebirth of souls has blade battlers as a mini game
Ngl this was one of the characters I was most excited to see and here we are. Gotta say idk what to think of this other than he looks basic. Especially when we looked at all of the other characters before him. Even Kira had some more spice to him and he’s pretty basic too. Maybe there’s something we’re missing here but I still will try him out and I’m still excited for the game. Just with they would’ve given him something more? Like in brave souls, dude is walking upside down. Slashing in all directions and has a confusion mechanic but that’s a mobile game so yea
I'm not bitching about how Shinji will play like everyone else in the comments. I just want ALL the Vizards to be playable. Why the hell would they make only Shinji playable? That's a stupid move
Simply reversing inputs isn't an Instant Lose lmao. If the game was a 2D Push back to Block style fighting game then yes it would be broken. there are multiple fighting games that do reverse inputs and yeah it's strong but it's not broken. Especially if this game has a Block button. Most games allow you to break out of you hit the opponent or after a certain amount of time. So why not attempt to run away or block it out. Seeing non fighting game players takes on the topic is funny. Just cause they think it would be the end all be all of the match when the opponent is still able to interact. Play a game like OG Persona Ultimax where they have the Panic status that does this an reverses your block. In that game you have 50/50 mix ups that youd have to hold the reverse input to block. In the new version they nerfed it an allow you to block normally but things like super inputs and movement are reversed. An guess what characters with this status werent even the top tiers.
An for people saying it's a 50/50. No it's not. The first move shown is a Counter like Beliel in Granblue. If you don't know what that is Beliel walks forward arms wide open an IF ATTACKED he counters instantly. Know how to beat that? Just don't do anything an wait it out or Block until it's over!!! The second move is a Attack from the stance so if you aren't going to engage with him he can attack you out of the Stance. Beliel has that as well but the good thing about Beliel's is it's a command grab that beats Block!!!!! Shinji attacks you from the back. Which can most likely just be Blocked.... From everything I'm seeing you just block against Shinji an you don't get put in the "50/50" against mashers this will be decent but anyone with a brain can figure this out. I can see Shinji being more like a Gambling character. Let's say he has pressure on you an he does some long string. If he thinks you are mashing and not respecting him he can do the Walking counter to beat the opponents mash. An I guess the other attack can be a sneak attack. I can't figure out how it will be good besides how it teleports behind the opponent. If the game has auto correct block the move is worthless if you have to manually correct your block by Letting go of block and re blocking when you see him cross you up then the move is Great. Until this can be labbed Shinji fans got hoed. An the counter is only good against Mashers. The 2nd part is worthless unless it's a combo extender or does good guard break damage. Like think about it.....The counter works if the opponent attacks you. The other version works only if the opponent isn't blocking, is mashing against you, you out range then with the attack while they swing at you, of if the opponent doesn't know what's going on an jumps an tries to attack you during the Counter stance which in itself would just counter them. Maybe the 2nd part does more damage or you can delay it all the way until the end of the walk animation punishing people who think your going for the counter alone. The Best part of when Beliel does it in Granblue is if he has the meter he can Fake out his counter walk with a command grab. 236U with Beliel starts with the counter walk just like Shinji s walk, that if hit he stomps on the opponents head from above giving you Oki an if your blocked you are still safe. If they don't hit you Thinking it's the regular counter Beliel Glows Blue for a brief moment and grabs the opponent. Beating Guard!!! If Shinji had an attack that beat Guard that would make it a 50/50
People saying Shinji s reversed buttons is a Instant lose are wild when we have Tosen in the game with His Bankai Domain expansion Infinite darkness Bs an we just have to guess when he'll attack or where he is. As a big Shinji fan I have to say he's absolutely trash in comparison to the more broken characters shown in the game. I'm definitely playing Soi Fon with a potential 2 touch win......like of course the Soi Fon attack will be hard to hit it's still in the game no matter how broken it may be or sound. Reverse inputs would have been perfect. An people complaining about it not being fun to fight against it's a fighting game not everything is supposed to be fun for both players. An it gives the perfect Bleach feeling of being caught in his Shikai.
I definitely feel a bit bummed by how Shinji turned out. It's definitely not terrible by any means, but after seeing Renji's and Tosen's awakenings and Soi Fon's 1 shot I was hoping they'd be a bit more creative with Shinji's awakening. It's a bit funny though, cause in most cases people would immediately discount the idea of anyone inverting controls or anything close to that for half the match, in a competitive game no less. Kinda shows how much they've raised the bar this game when it comes to faithfully adapting characters.
Bro what do you think? Reversing controls in a fighting game is way too hard to counter. Imagine everyone playing him, makes the game completely unplayable. The concept of 50/50 is the base of fighting game and choosing shinji for that role was the best move to do.
have yet to watch but inverted world could work by swapping every button. up could be start attack could be up. start could be X/A (depending on consol.) and so on. also random every time so you can never memorize the button scheme EDIT: shinji needs his shiki as a thing. not just a ult.
No Globku you're wrong. This wasn't a fumble, This is staying true to the character. I think I can agree with a LOT of people who disagree with you that yeah what they did with Shinji in terms of fighting games that YOU overlooked and ignored.
One thing i noticed from the famitsu gameplay was that “sublimation” seems to change the kikon move, and I assume that means it takes more konpaku away.
I totally get why they didnt have actual reverse control and specially not reverse vision (motion sickness would be a real issue), but i think they couldve got the effect by having a move animation where shinji attacks with its Y axis reversed, like the back attack for his second signature move.
The awakening says nothing changes in moveset, but it still buffs him. I’m thinking mind game might be some sort of condition to activate his Shikai temporarily, so that it’s not a whole form but a move you have to activate so it’s not super broken? Idk.
hiyori being part of shinjis moveset is kind of a bummer but she didn't really do that much during this time either. as for shinji himself he might still have some way to use his shikai maybe with a temporary reverse world ability as like a minor debuff, I don't think think we've seen everything these characters can do. for instance Yamamoto likely has hado 96 and we just haven't seen him use it
Reversing someone’s controls isn’t the end of the world like yall are acting. It’ll be a lot of confusion at first but to think that most people wouldn’t adapt to that is just wrong. Kind of reminds me of one of tsunade jutsu and kotoamatsukami in Shinobi striker that reversed control. At first it was like omg but over time people just learned how to play with reverse controls.
you’re using previous shite anime games as justification? those are the kinds of games that have given this subgenre the putrid reputation it has currently.
@@ProjectLDV the game wasn’t shit. Could it have been better? Absolutely and the devs didn’t show it too much love but the mechanics of the game were very good and fluid. To call it shit is just wrong and games like the recent JJK game is the reason this subgenre has the rep it does. Games that solely want to get bought off name alone and not their actual gameplay.
Just reversing the controlls wouldn´t be enoguh anyway , you can get used pretty fast to reversed controlls. That would leave him in high level gameplay with no significant power up at all.
Still think his Shikai could be passive. When you think about Aizens ultimate, it also just seems that he will transform, which I think he will keep this form for a period of time. Same could be with shinji when he activate his shikai.
This is the only correct response imo. I like Shinji but I’d also like to actually be able to play any other character in the multiplayer
Exactly. It’s not something you can really play through… you lost.
Unless you learn to play with reverse controls.
yea but ofc no one takes their time to think about it like that, ppl just want broken stuff without realizing how broken it is, and then will complain when they fight a shinji
The could’ve just made him put a 5sec confusion status on you 🤷♂️
Everyone wants the reverse control gimmick till they fight it lol.
Making him a dedicated 50/50 is a good compromise imo
Yes but the trailer failed to show well that 50/50 aspect.
Only after reading that last text i had to go back to the trailer and guess a lot to imagine where those 50/50 fits in what were shown.
@@ErickDarkArts Sadly that's the case for quite a few characters. Rangiku for example has a description that says Haineko allows her to control her opponents movements, but there's nothing really in her kit (that we've seen) that showcases that. Gin also has has a passive where he deals more damage by hitting folks with the tip of his blade and the closer they are to him the less damage he deals.
The fact that they deconfirmed the gimmick gave me *more* faith in the devs, not less.
@@ErickDarkArts Exactly it's not a 50/50. Everything shown you can just block or wait out. If your a masher then he's going to be dangerous. Besides that he's extremely mid.

Arena fighting game fans don’t understand that reversing someone’s controls is game breaking. You all would be crying for nerfs and changes.
Especially in a fighter like this since it’s not an arena fighter
they would not want nerfs, they would want the character to be deleted or a rework
Tosen?
@@warmfridge856 Tosen doesn’t invert your controls.
And add the fact that there will be more of them
That is if you can attack while hiyori is out, which would make more sense because mayuri can do that

They would probably reverse it so light was the triangle button and heavy was square. As well as inverted controls.
Or they could simply flip the screen upside down for the opponent for a set duration + getting hit a set number times
@@calebnelson58no in most fighting games they just change the opponents Movement directions. An it works well in those games cause they are Hold backwards to block fighters.
To be fair I think all
These trailers only shown a snippet of what is possible with the characters.
In what world would reversing someone’s controls actually work and balance a game let’s be serious here bro
In the same world that a character would take the enemy's vision away, which is already shown to be the case. It would be for limited time, mashing, guarding, ect. would still be in the same place.
If we got at least the map rotated (and no messing with the controls) would be cool enough.
Same world where its okay to tell your opponent to play blindfolded

@owlflame , and considering most characters have a counter, you can anticipate the attack and retaliate.
they dont fumbled with shinji , They turned the Shikai's inverting power into Mixup power, it has a Sakanade status bar that releases the Shikai and changes the moves, if you have the Shikai released you can call the Hiyori without interrupting your own movements, you can turn the Parry into a Follow Up attack and the Unblockable attack gains more power.
I don’t think the ability would be as unbalanced, but hypothetically, I think the devs would want players to try and master playing against a character because:
-That could create memes, memes would create a culture, a culture means a dedicated fanbase for the game
-There could be more play time for the game which would be good for the future of the franchise

No hate to globku but I don’t get the issue reversing the controls is something we can go without
Any of you has ever thought that maybe the "Inverted world" is made by a visual perspective?
Let's recall what happens in the anime usually: Shinji activates Sakanade and his opponent visibility is inverted. How do we see this though? The victim is in fact able to move wherever he/she wants, it's just that the position of the things seen is inverted!
To make it more easy to understand, when Aizen attacks Shinji in the anime, we see Shinji disappear and appear just behind Aizen, just like in the game!
In conclusion, Sakanade doesn't invert movement, it invert sight, and I think the devs adapted this concept very well in the game.
But its just a counter like all the others in the game. If his signature straight up teleported him it would be a little cooler
Then just make everyone’s screen upside down except the one who cast it.
And playing offline with this?@@wholesomecup102
To be fair, they haven’t shown everything he can do
his Kikon could potentially make your controls wonky for a while, or just mess with your sense of direction.
but I hope from what we’ve seen of Shinji, and what we haven’t seen of Shinji mixes well, and makes him a fun character to play
I disagree with the title.
me too
honestly i like the direction they picked for shinji.
@@purplepineapple7893 yes, but so far and based on my shity memory. He is the only person besides aizen without his gimmick
I was really hoping they wouldn’t actually give him the reversal of controls even though he will probably be one of my mains so I like what they did
It's definitely not a fumble, but ok!
Be honoured if you support
They literally describing him as a 50/50 character
"Hes doing his counter, guess I'll block and punish. He sent Hiyori, guess I'll block and punish. He is going in super close, guess I'll hit him before he does his unblockable." Opposite of 50/50 all of his shit is hyper obvious and predictable the first 100/0 character
@@SebastianNilsson-x9n Didn’t know you played the game before and somehow won’t ever get hit by his unblockable which is just as fast as other special moves in this games.
@@SebastianNilsson-x9nYou say that as if everything that was shown in the trailer is all he can do, which isn’t the case of course
The idea of enemy controller reversal is just adding an unfun knowledge check. Once the counterplay is learned, Shinji would become useless.
No they didn't 💀
Be honoured if you support
Alright everyone hold your horses. This is NOT a fumble. It’s NOT the end of the world! Remember these trailers don’t show the characters entire moveset. It’s possible this Shinji has a RE-Awakening and that is when he unleashed his Shiki. I say that because there are shots in Shinji special trailer where he’s fighting with both the Hollow Mask and Shiki. So calm the heck down, alright!? Also why do people care about Hiyori? Honestly her being part of Shinji moveset fits. She probably literally the one character that doesn’t nearly have enough in her kit to be a separate character.
this is true bec they didnt show aizens kyoka suigetsu.
she's playable in a lot more games before, and finding a kit for a moveset is not hard at all for her and a lot more characters you're not even thinking off.
I rather have her in the game than not, kinda like Pesche, would be cool to have them playable and I would play them, but not too bummed about it.
Even making it undoable in ranked will be fine
If he had a re awakening they would’ve showed it in the trailer.
@ Not necessarily. Uryu in the game is said to have a Reawakening. But his personal trailer didn’t showcase it. At least not fully.
looks good to me. 10/10 trailer
Giving Shinji that broken ability will break the game obviously
I refuse to believe anybody actually WANTS inverted controls. This is not a fumble.
If they put it in people wouldn’t stop complaining this isn’t a miss, they gave an unblockable he’s gonna be playing mind games if you don’t know his moves you’re gonna be cooked
I refuse to play with a blindfold on. Equal rights for equal fights
@@SebastianNilsson-x9nThen kill Tosen before he does Bankai
@@SebastianNilsson-x9n shut that corny mess down immediately... Tosen's kit is WAAAY more balanced than just inverting someone's control. It's hilarious that you morons unironically think otherwise. 🤦♂
Reversing controls is cracked tho...how would it work? Lets be honest here
How would making you blind work?
I was initially upset but having him reverse controls would’ve been broken af…not fun to play against at all i think this is a much better route to go
Whoever is saying Shinji should reverse your controls don't understand Shinji's zanpakto at all. It doesn't invert the opponent's movements it's just a optical illusion and only controls sight which is why it's just a worse Kyoka Suigetsu in that regard. It's just a illusion and that's all it is. Aizen would be more accurate to invert your inputs because he actually controls all your senses.
I need to watch now
I actually think the hiyori move was really funny. She doesnt have a kido type zanpakto from what I remember so there really isn’t much they could do with her unless they make her and the other visords a group character like the ice climbers from smash bros or something
React to the video of the dude that actually played the demo. He explained it pretty well
Honestly I liked Shinji’s trailer and moveset because he was one of the possible broken characters that would have ruined the overall game experience because of his illusory abilities ( I hope that my English was good enough I’m not a native speaker)
He looks like he is going to be broken 🤣 I understood you ❤️
As a Battlefront 2 veteran, having your controls reversed actually isn’t that bad and can even be fun.
You mean like being blind?
@@SebastianNilsson-x9n That isnt nearly as broken, you can still play while blinded, you just have reduced information of what is happening forcing you to play defensively. Inverting your controls basically means you cant play at all.
As much as I'm loving Bleach Rebirth of Souls, they really need some better translation on some of these trailers because sometimes theyre needlessly confusing or missing necessary conext.
they absolutely do, it adds a bit of mystery but also makes the trailers super confusing as well
Fell to my knees upon finding out Hiyori is a support attack like they are banjo and kazooie.
Pesche & Dondochakka, Nemu and now Hiyori. Who is next? Its such an annoying thing cus its probably not cheap to make a model just for a single move, but its so unsatisfying to see them redo it over and over. One less character for the roster and one less unique move for the character
tbf, dlc still a thing.
still possible she and the others get added in later via DLC, but we’ll see how this plays out
I think "Mind Game" might be a unique gage that utilizes inverted world in some way!
Why in the hell would any fighting game add invented controls to a character
These trailers are really just teasers to see some of the things the characters can do. Some show off more about the character than others.
If they gave Shinji the ability to reverse controls, all that would happen in multiplayer is this: Activate Shikai -> rage quit

Shinji has one of the most unique abilities in Bleach and offers the possibility for a unique moveset. However he has moves that every other character in the game has…
Beside Shinji and maybe Kyoraku and Komamura, I can’t think of other characters that will offer opportunities for much creative liberty in their moveset.

2- There is no “me and Globku and them.” There are no sides. To me, you are coming across a little defensive. We all want this game to succeed. "Professional control mode," you see those moves that he goes in front of and behind enemy?
Globku the kinda guy to glaze arena fighter slop and then get washed in a real fighting game cause he cares more about gimmicks than actual movesets.
Shit even Kira looks more interesting to play
i agree with this like nothing makes him unique it dosent have to reverse controls just incorporate it in his kit anyway possible
It’s not an arena fighter. You can backdash and sidestep it’s a 3D game
@SWORDU I feel like that falls under semantics and being technical with terms, but I'm honestly not concerned. So, sure.
That is not just an effect of Shinji’s bankai, it’s an effect of his shikai and he used it on Aizen in the Fake Karakura Town arc
So I have a theory about Shinji's signature move
When I looked back at the trailer a couple times I caught that the second version of it is done with a flick forward. So that means that if you've released his shikai he gets both the Parry and the Attack and since they both have the same startup animation he gets a 50/50
How is it a 50/50 when the answer to both is just blocking?
@SebastianNilsson-x9n because if you try and block the counter version you can't punish him because you wouldn't have the time. He would just be able to continue putting pressure on you or just grab
I think not having the inverted world, while super disappointing, should probably have been excorticated since Aizen also dint really have Kyoka Sugetsu in his moves and will probably use it in some sort of kikon move. Its sad but also kind of accurate since these abilities were used as finishers and didn't really have a prolonged battle using them
He does have Kyoka Suigetsu as a kikon parry, they just didn't showed it in the trailer
@@Psycamore your right but it still proves the point that, while Aizen could be doing crazy illusions he really only uses it to counter killing blows, same as shinji's cero and shikai really only used for the kill.
These trailers are so short that they don't showcase the characters very well at all imo. I wish they were longer
Sorry if I wrote something wrong, English is not my native language.
reversing just movement wouldn't matter enough but reversing anything else would be broken as hell
they could literally make it inverse ur controls but he can only do it once per game or on a long cooldown.
@Biothermiac Fr, that's what I'm saying, just the movement is fine.
@@eucliffbentley9670 or if you depleted the konpaku of your enemy by 1 (or more), the state of invertion would be gone and start a long ass cooldown
@ yea that also could work
Hey if Aizen can't have his signature hypnosis then its only fair that Shinji can't have his signature reversing lol.
Now you all see why I said I'm scared for Shunsui. The probably leave him off as a cop out
Correction they didn’t fumble shinji lmao his attacks r broken making stuff upside down would annoy players. In the anime and manga it’s fire 🔥 but it’s great what thy did
in his special trailer we see him grouped up with other Soul Reapers but no other Visoreds or even Ukitake. Probably meaning they've been deconfirmed. at least Kyōraku and Komamura are confirmed
No Hiyori?
UNPLAYABLE
Yeah the fumble in shinji moveset why they couldn't just do hollowfication as spiritual pressure moves that act like install super where it just increase his damage and add more combo to his basic attack instead make it into awakening, so why not just make his shikai awakening and add another gauge or debuffing effect that can reverse how character move in game like how they do to kira awakening oh man😢
Thats the dumbest thing I heard someone said about this game omg 😆
could have done so that he just does some basic slashes but he is upside down or something
I just really hope the story mode isn’t just power points like sparking zero and so many other anime games
Wow ive never seen a comment section in such unanimous disagreement before. Honestly kind of impressive lol
At this point, Kyoraku is DLC for Marvel Rivals
They didnt add the whole thing of Shinji....
Everyone does Shinji dirty
How's it a fumble, half the banki locked by spoilers. Stick to mhur. Haven't even played the game yet. TH-camrs really do ruin everything
Usually always confirm ults in other games if you make a slip movement and get hoed... ahem jump force-
what else?
No you have to block the kikon move. The clash is not automatic
Forgot the roster addition 😭
Trailer so mid Globku didn't wanna confirm him
have yet to watch but inverted world could work by swapping every button. up could be start attack could be up. start could be X/A (depending on consol.) and so on. also random every time so you can never memorize the button scheme
EDIT: shinji needs his shiki as a thing. not just a ult.
Maybe he reverse controls for a while after landing a kikon move. Just spit balling here.
Don't do that... don't give me hope
Is that what he does in the anime tho?
The awakening says nothing changes in moveset, but it still buffs him. I’m thinking mind game might be some sort of condition to activate his Shikai temporarily, so that it’s not a whole form but a move you have to activate so it’s not super broken? Idk.
hiyori being part of shinjis moveset is kind of a bummer but she didn't really do that much during this time either. as for shinji himself he might still have some way to use his shikai maybe with a temporary reverse world ability as like a minor debuff, I don't think think we've seen everything these characters can do. for instance Yamamoto likely has hado 96 and we just haven't seen him use it
This move set makes since it’s this version of shinji his tybw version will have way more stuff. Now I need them to add kensei
Missed opportunity to call it "Nuf Fun" (for such fun) so backwards its still the same
I wish they made sakanade like a counter or move that has a meter that reverses the enemy's controls for a few seconds
Would be honoured if you support
you’re using previous shite anime games as justification? those are the kinds of games that have given this subgenre the putrid reputation it has currently.
That would leave him in high level gameplay with no significant power up at all.
called it. knew it. hiyori is part of the combo. shinji is the only one shown in cutscene and in game. hes the only visored
Still think his Shikai could be passive. When you think about Aizens ultimate, it also just seems that he will transform, which I think he will keep this form for a period of time. Same could be with shinji when he activate his shikai.
Lowkey disappointed bro wasn't this game's Jason from MKX, I was so excited to just reverse everyone's input, screen and huds
You were excited for something you imagined in your head?
Maybe it'll be his thousand year blood war character he will get his reversed gimmick
Nah, if they're not doing it here then they're not doing it at all. He won't get a TYBW character
@SebastianNilsson-x9n a man can dream
Is that what he does tho? I forgot.
@purplepineapple7893 yeah he's told he can't use his bankai but he uses his shikai
@@Drexinari im bring told her doesn’t reverse you senses like Aizen. Im going to rewatch now
