저번에 올리아버지와 같이 이삭토스트 먹으러 갔을때도 너무 좋아하셔서 올리가 이삭토스트 알리고 싶다고, 광고하며 매일매일 먹겠다는 농담을 했었는데 그 영상이 조회수 7백만을 넘어서 같은 맥락의 농담을 하면 재밌다고 생각하고 그 농담을 이해하실 분들이 많을 것 같다고 생각했어요. 오해를 하셨으면 죄송합니다 😭 광고 얘기는 정말로 농담이었고, 저희가 이 영상을 찍은 유일한 이유는 올리가 정말 진심으로 너무 이삭 토스트를 좋아해서 자꾸 소개를 하고싶었기 때문이에요 😅

초등학생때 이삭토스트 처음 생겼을 때가 생각나네요ㅋㅋ그때 저희 동네 이삭토스트는 초등학생들의 천국이었는데ㅋㄱㅋㅋ
기본메뉴 계란토스트가 1000원이였던 기억이ㅠㅠ
지금은 아마 사라진 풍경일텐데
예전엔 현금통이 있어서 알아서 돈내고 알아서 거슬러 가고 그랬어요ㅎㅎ 지금은 카드를 많이 쓰니까 잘 보이지 않는 옛 풍경이 된 느낌이네요^^

Ollie, please go to Taiwan and try their breakfast sandwiches. They have burgers, toast, waffles...honestly, I know you love Isaac's Toast but the typical Taiwanese breakfast toast will blow your mind. 정말 가격도 너무 저렴하고 다양한 맛 너무 많아요! 너무너무 맛있어요!!!

You laugh at the photos, but my friends and I are legit planning Isaac's Toast into our Korea trip because of you guys and I'm sure we aren't the only ones who will or have done so 😂. Its just good marketing strategy by the store to have these photos up.

As an Isaac myself, I feel very appreciated by Ollie
이삭토스트가 생기계된 것은 예전 1980년대 후반 에서 1990년대 초반에 이삭토스트같은 토스트가 원래 한국의 지하철역앞 이나 버스정류장 앞 길거리 포장마차에서 실제로 출근하는 직장인들에게 아침식사 대용으로 불티나게 팔렸던 식품 입니다.일명 길거리 토스트 라고 불렸죠. 그당시 줄을서서 직장인들이 간편하게 먹고 출근하는 모습이 비일비재했습니다. 그것을 이삭토스트가 좀더 다양하고 업그레이드된 메뉴를 개발하고 보편화시켜 체인점으로 성공하게 된거죠. 그 원천을 모르시는것 같아서 한글자 적습니다^^
맞아요~설탕도 뿌려주고 케첩도 발라주고 서*우유의 커피우유 삼각포리에 든 거랑 함께 먹는 것이 큰 별미였어요~^^

저 초딩때는 이삭토스트처럼 만든 토스트 시장에서 팔아가지구 맨날 2500원씩 주고 햄치즈토스트 먹은기억나네요 그 달달한 소스맛 너무 좋았는데 7년쯤 지나니까 없어젔어요 ㅜ
기억이 납니다. 지하철역 나오자마자 하나씩은 있었던 것 같아요. 바쁜 직장인들의 가벼운 아침 요기거리로 딱 좋았어요. 맛도 있고 위에 부담도 안되고... 저는 하두 자주 먹어서 현금이 없을 때는 아주머니가 외상으로도 주셨었어요. ㅎㅎ
