Most of Koreans think about English tea time is very delightful and look so good! Some of them(mostly young gen.20-40s) loves so much scone and earl grey tea.

This episode inspired me to have a proper English Tea. Today I am making clotted cream...cooked 12 hours and cooling in the refrigerator. I have Pinterested lots of scone recipes. I watched one program that said that English people are really particular about whether you put the milk in before the tea or after. It goes back to before Chinese porcelain was created before you would put the tea in first so that the temperature difference wouldn't shatter the clay cup. When it was invented those who could afford it would show off their wealth by pouring the milk in first to show that their cup wouldn't shatter. For hundreds of years, England was a divided society and the differences show up today in the oddest ways.
Because of this channel, I started to have constant craving and interest on tea, cakes, biscuits, pie.... 🤣.. especially when they do this type of video! And I just found out that the sandwich that I always eating is a one of the British afternoon tea thing
7:59 Ollie: there's a sampling of cakes but you wouldn't eat of all the cakes Josh: 😲🍰🍰🍰🍰🍰 I was planning on having all of them. Also, Ollie looks so handsome here 😍
Josh, your mom is so sweet and charming! You must love her so much! You guys were all three so fun to watch. I’m from the USA, so it was really interesting to hear about tea time since Americans don’t have a cup as often at all. I’ve truly enjoyed your channel since recently stumbling across some of your videos! You two are such nice people and therefore quite relatable. I’m not surprised that you have so many subscribers!
I had a cream tea at Harrods many years ago on my visit to England. I’m pretty sure it changed my life. I’ve been trying to move to England ever since that day.
I'm American but all my preferences and reactions were the same as Ollie's, including the way you pronounce scones haha. NO marmite (should be cream cheese & cucumber), and always cream first then jam for the scones.
In our Aussie house scones were always dished up with butter and golden syrup (made from molasses) the cream and jam came along much later in my life. My guess is that we never had cream in our house when we only had an Ice Chest for cooling. Syrup didn't need refrigeration much like honey. We used to have the Aussie fav Bushells Tea. My mother made a pot of tea for breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon, tea, dinner and smoko (about 9pm) there was never a drop left in the post. Mum probably drank 10 cups of tea a day.

I'm surprised you didn't mention the "controversial" topic of whether you put the milk in first or second in tea.
That's because everyone already knows the milk does not go in first.
The milk usually goes first if you are using a teapot, since the tea is already brewed
You put water nd milk together with sugar nd tea. Then you boil it nd keep it in teapot. Thats how tea is made......
I was waiting for that to come up. I remember watching this one episode of Almost Human and there was an entire argument about this 😂
Luckily I don't put milk in my tea, so I don't have that problem.

Despite whipped cream being a topping it did seem wrong to me with this type of cream 😂
Gosh, Josh's mom is so lovely! The cream over jam vs jam over cream argument is always a thing! lol
4:14 ollie's 'polite' face hahahaha
One second... Milk was in before the tea... Guys we aren't savages, the milk goes in after the tea is poured cmon
Yoonas Husband we don't use teabags either. the sacrilege 😨
@@katyb2793 it's too much for me to handle 😭
Yoonas Husband 😂
milk is ok before if the tea is in a teapot as it has already been brewed
You have just declared War.

I’ve been trying to move to England ever since that day.
josh really look a like his mother. She is verry pretty and look so young 😍
Yep we do, it's grown in Yorkshire and it's fabulous
It’s not a video without Gabie’s laugh in the background 😂
Haha
Omgosh, your mom is so nice. I love her and she's such a lady 💗
I'm American but all my preferences and reactions were the same as Ollie's, including the way you pronounce scones haha. NO marmite (should be cream cheese & cucumber), and always cream first then jam for the scones.
Josh your is absolutely lovely- I am inspired to prepare a Tea for my mom and daughters 🌸
Hearing Gabby's laughter in the background makes this video extra delightful :)
