I just installed mine with custom e30 tune, definitely pulls a lot harder than stock turbo stage 2 + e20 tune. Need to dyno it. So far I’m happy with it, definitely feels like 500bhp car, I was making 400whp /460bhp. It should be in 430-450whp, I just have b58 hpfp, with big intercooler, pure turbo inlet, high flow cat. MPE intake and exhaust.

From South Africa... You mentioned the N55 has a S55 gearbox upgrade... I have a N55 Manual and broke the synchro... Any ideas on if it's a direct bolt on or needs modifications ??? Really need the help
NVM boys keeping it real unlike many who will happily take ya money knowing its not best way and possibly cause more expensive problems further down the line. And why would you take the piss wanting advice from these guys expert knowledge and experience about your build then take it elsewhere to have work carried out by obviously way less knowledgeable people is crazy because if they can't explain and give you that vital information on all pro's and con's then definitely wouldn't trust them messing with my car either.
Power quoted crank I assume? What was your main issue with the turbo? You say it's terrible but they quote around 500 on 99, this vehicle didn't have the fueling and from the looks of it not the best intercooler to see this power? It's a fast spooling ball bearing turbo that's very reasonably priced. You commented on the smell of oil, was the oil feed restrictor fitted as the ball bearing turbo normally has a reducer?

what does the S55 gearbox upgrade contain? and how vital is it? would a organic/paddle clutch be just as good or no?
Stronger synchros, s55 oem clutch and fly can handle 800nn too, longer 4th and 5th ratio

It’s just a m2 n55 or M2/3/4 s55 manual gearbox.

I thought the B58tu maxes out around 530 on a 99ron B58 engined car, didn’t know it would max out around 450 on 99 Ron N55 engine, interestinggggg
Its not the peak BHP restriction by TU its the peak torque and at what RPM.
Bhp is restricted by back pressure, iat, and inlet size
