Making our most powerful M2 N55 - 520HP Pure Hybrid Turbo, Meth Injection + XDI HPFP Installation

- Through owning our M2 for nearly 3 years and tuning it from pretty much brand new we have extensive knowledge on the N55 platform found in the M135i, M235i and M2. And having developed our own Hybrid Turbo for the N55 we also know how to correctly tune them when an uprated turbo is fitted.
With all this knowledge our friends from CA International came to us with a customer looking to take his already impressively specced M2 to the next level.
We fitted a Pure Stage 2 Hybrid Turbo, XDI uprated High Pressure Fuel Pump and JB4 Water Methanol Injection Kit, along with uprated spark plugs, Eventuri intake and other supporting modifications.
All of this took the car to a staggering 520HP on our Dyno Dynamics, the most powerful N55 M2 we've ever tuned!

3 seconds is insane, alot of you guys don't realise evolves dyno is very conservative & gives realistic power figures, unlike Jimmy's dodgy dyno down the road who will quote you a extra 100hp to keep you happy. I'll dyno my car soon, see if imran breaks my heart
We'll get the tissues ready for you. End of the day road times such as Dragy are more realistic but they still have issues such as fuel level, wind direction etc.

That install was sped up like 64x...I know the labor/hr for this job would be nosebleed level. Regardless GOOD techs for BMW aren't easy to find. This chap is a keeper.

2019/2020 M2 Competition, has the M4 engine de-tuned to 405hp. Mine is just stock, no mods.
Yes the S55 is easy to get to 540-550 bhp with just bolt ons and a tune

Cool video, I’m doing Pure Stage 2 hopefully this summer on my n55 335i. It’s full bolt on running an e25ish mix and it’s already a rocket. Cool to see an m2 making over 500hp. Did you guys run a catless dp?

Evolve Automotive thanks for the reply and absolutely! Does the M2 cooling system share the same complexity as the M3/4? That always concerned me maintenance wise over time.
Do you mean in regards to coolant/oil or charge cooler?
Evolve Automotive I would say regarding both. I know the s55 features multiple coolers for water and oil. I probably need to do some more research on the M2's N55 😊.

i would imagine this could maybe hit 600hp w that turbo? i have an m235i full bolt ons mhd s1 but thinkin of going hybrid to hit 500 - 600

This may be a dumb question, so please be nice. The 2015 BMW X1 xDrive 35i comes with the N55 as well. Would these upgrades on the M2 be compatible on the X1?

Why when I use ethanol + methanol I feel like the car is cutting even after upgrade the low an high gas pump and the and spark and injectors?
No idea, would need to speak to your tuner and look at the datalogs

N55 in M2 has forged crank shaft and rods plus upgrades pistons and iron sleeves around the cylinder walls. It’s basically an upgraded n55 from the factory.

Pure are the manufacturer of the hybrid turbo, it’s based on the OEM unit.
Stage 1/2 do not require a different turbo.
A more in depth video would of been cool - to satisfy the Engineer in me 😁

It’s all very good having higher rpm bhp, but my god the low down torque is non-existence, what a compromise to have abit more power. Clearly lowdown torque will destroy gearbox and bottom end of the little m2 lump.
What engine oil do you use for the m cars and m lites

365 bhp stock is plenty enough for this amazing bmw. Add that extra 165 bhp . ....not sure about rehabilitate. .. mechanical speaking
100-200 in 7.3 naa not so good..., Pureturbo Peter run 6.8 years ago with stag1 pureturbo, now there is stage2 Pureturbo to n55

Dub C a shop did an alignment and disconnected the ground wires and didn’t hook it back up... it flooded the engine wirh meth. Boom

Evolve Automotive suppose TTRS sounds a lot better too and is a step up in interior quality, but M2 is the drivers car as you say 👌

N55 man such a weak engine compared to b58 and n54:( sucks you do this same mods to b58 engine it’s literally 500 plus wheel not Bhp
True but honestly speaking even a stock M2 feels like more than enough on public roads. The way it handles is epic and honestly, I've had one for nearly 14 months now and honestly can't see why it would need any more power if just driving on public roads

Is it just me but 60k for this car is so stupid.... on top of that all these tool bag s who make videos about them. It’s a poor man M and on top of that it’s pretty lame, there are sooo many cars at the 60k range that are far superior.
You definitely haven't driven one. You can do all these price comparisons until the cows come home but when you're behind a wheel of one you'll know exactly where the money went. Definitely a better drive than the American garbage you have on your dp

OK cool I do like the ZL1 1LE so congrats to you I hope you enjoy in good health, I don't know about numbers on the ring because that doesn't really mean anything to me as a driver. For me, it's how a car makes you feel. A used M2 can be bought for around 32k in the UK. I bought mine brand new for 50 and don't regret a minute of it. However, a 997 911 s for around 25k is what I will be buying for my second car this year.
