I just got done rebuilding the main roof cylinder on my wife's SLK. Not as difficult as you might image. TH-cam video helped. Now they are working great. WIfe is happy. I want suspension and possibly S430 Caliper upgrade :)
Awesome! Thanks for the heads up on that . Will look into it more when I have more time to work on the car. I’m currently juggling various projects with deadlines at the moment. Let me know if you need lowering springs or Coilovers , I can definitely help you on either 👍
That looks amazing, I have same silver color 2001 slk320. We're did your get those rims from? Can BBS will fit on factory 16" rim or 17" amg32? Looks very cool!!
Thanks for the kind words! These wheels are actually for sale. I switched out to temp wheels while I order the wheels I’ve always wanted. I would recommend 17” wheels or larger for the slk. Lmk if you’d like to pick up this set. They only have about 20-30 miles on them. They’re sold w/o tires. If you’re interested in this set or any other set definitely shoot us an email . Thanks!
Love your slk bro, it's the nicest one I have seen, just curious are the front shock's the same as the rear shock's, or are they different they look exactly the same? thanks
Hello. My slk doesn’t have that issue. There’s a few things you can look at / do. Look to see if there’s anything obstructing the seat slider, take the seat out to see what’s wrong with the slider. It may need to be lubed or replaced. The seat isn’t too hard to take out if you have the right tools.
6:02 hello, at 6mn you are talking about the difficulty in tightening the rear shock absorbers, what about releasing them and refitting the new ones? I tried to change all 4 yesterday but the one at the rear had almost no travel even with the stem completely unscrewed. I didn't have what we see in your video, that is to say the shock absorber rod almost completely out. I should have compressed the shock absorber very hard to extract it... My mistake in retrospect may have been lifting the car on the same side, front and rear. Do you only have raised your car from the right rear for one and the left rear for the other? THANKS
Hi Paul thanks for the comment. Feel free to shoot an email info@m2-motoring.com and I can see if I can get my hands on it. Please be sure to include city / state / zip for accurate shipping quote. Thanks!
these cars come with bose audio with a seperate mono amplifier. mine has like 6 speakers. the radio installs are best kept simple and basic. because troubles are likely
Hi there’s no widebody on the market currently, you’ll have to do something custom for that. The wheels I have are rotiforms and I’m honestly contemplating selling the wheels itself.
The body kit is reiger . Not sure if it’s in production anymore but there’s another body kit brand that I do sell I can send you some pics of. Shoot me an email info@m2-motoring.com and I’ll send what pics I have.
Hey bro! Great looking ride! I have a R170 SLK 320. I wanted to ask you if you did the alignment yourself or took it to a shop. I can see your suspension is dropped, but did you do anything special to the front stance like install a camber kit? My front sits with a little front negative camber and I'm looking to straighten it out somehow. I'd appreciate very much a little input from you.
Hi thanks for the comment. Alignment was always done by a shop. A little negative camber on the front of the car is normal. Was yours excessive ? How much camber and toe ?
@@M2Motoring I really don't have numbers. I installed a camber kit for the rears, but can't really find one for the front. It's just eating up the inside of my front tires, that's why I was asking if you did something to correct your front alignment. I appreciate the reply Bro. Thank you.
How many miles is yours? I just got an '06 SLK 280 w/63k miles. I love it, so sexy. Mine has a super tiny lip spoiler, I like yours way better (more manly), what model is it, how much $ was it, did you install it yourself and was it easy? I'm also interested in going a bit bigger on the rear tire by an inch. I like the stance of roadsters with slightly bigger wheel in back. (plus the added grip)
Hi the slk has approximately 33k miles. The spoiler is a reiger tuning spoiler. I don’t think they are in production anymore. If you’re interested in a wheel setup, feel free to shoot an email 👍
Hello. Did you watch it through? I explained and showed what needed to be done Minus the size of the nuts itself. It’s one of the easier shock swaps for cars out there. What critical information are you looking for?
I haven't seen such a cleanly modded SLK in so long!
Thank you! I appreciate the kind words
Hey man i love the car my pass down his one to me and its been sitting for around 7 years im so committed on bringing it back🔥
Awesome to hear! Best of luck with the restoration / recondition. It’s one of those 90’s Mercedes gems people don’t recognize enough imho
I am using this brand also, but mine is a hi-low coilover. The ride quality is good and stable

Great Car - is that an AMG SLK32 or does it have an AMG bodykit?
Thanks! It’s a 230 and using a reiger body kit

Can you show step by step on installing a car audio system.
👍

Do you recommend the SLK with 4 cylinder or the SLK with 6 cylinder. I'm looking into one.?(manual )
Thanks hope you see the comment ..
All on preference imho. I personally want a 32 amg but this car has a lot of sentimental value for me.
Do you still have the rims? If so, are they still for sale?
Hi they sold a while back
Where did you get the rims and the body kit?
Rieger I don’t think makes the kit anymore. Wheels you can order from us . Send us an email info@m2-motoring.com. Thanks!
What rear lip and spoiler is that?
Hi Zack, it’s made by reiger tuning.
Love the rims! What’s the brand and rims spec?
Hi they’re rotiform rse 18” in a staggered setup. Let us know if you’d like a set, we are a dealer 👍
I've just got one do they have nice wide body or true dual exhausted your rims are great what's the brand or the style kit you have

You’re welcome! I would be concerned with the toe settings more if your fronts are wearing very fast. Hope you get it figured out
What year is it yr SLK 320...? Mine is 2001 ordered used from Japan l m in Tanzania East Africa...kinda regret buying the SLK 320 R170 465.😔
