- We watched the guards and suddenly one of them started shouting at the people who were looking at them from behind the fence and pointed a weapon at the crowd of people

@@igorsh75 your welcome as seen someone was obviously one the fence in a way that they shouldn't have and the guard thought that the person was trying to climb the fence to get into the Castel compound and he thought that person was a threat
In case you didn't hear he said "Get off the fence!" i wouldn't be surprised he was angry, i would of done the same, people need to remember that he isn't just there for display and amusement of tourist, he has a reason why he is there and he has been trained to kill

@@igorsh75he is a trained infantry solder and is there to guard the palace. He gave several warning to get off the fence and was ignored. Tourist are allowed to look in and do so untroubled, all day everyday, but climbing the fence and ignoring the warnings is not innocent looking in. He’s not a toy solder there for tourist attraction, he’s doing his job. I think it is you who didn’t understand the situation.

My youngest Son was in the 1st Battalion Coldstream Guards for over 25 years,went in at 16,left as a Warrant Officer just a few years ago.
2 times he warned them to stay off the fence. 3 time he points the rifle. Comments about this guy being out of line because of distance etc is just stupid. It is his duty to protect that distance and his area. Climb the White House fence and see what happens.
Here is how serious it can get. Years ago some a##%ole shot and killed a volunteer guard at the war memorial in Ottawa Ontario. From there he went down the street to the Parliament Hill where he gained access. He continued shooting until the sergeant at arms shot him to death. Want the same thing to happen to The King? How about the guards themselves? If it was the kid then why the hell did the parents let him climb on the fence two more times?
It is a pity that you do not understand what you write and do not analyze the situation. I have already told you that all the tourists every day from year to year stand along the fence where we stood there were also a bunch of different tourists and this happens every day. And never did any security guard behave like this except for this one from the heap of this case. Why did the video become so unique.
@@igorsh75 actually this is the fourth video I have seen of a guard warning then showing his weapon. Twice was at The Tower and twice here. All involved people trying to cross barriers. It appears to happen more often then just one guard

You may not be aware, but unless there is a major security alert running, those rifles aren't loaded. Only the firearms Police have loaded weapons all the time. This is a ceremonial role for these solders who rotate in the job.

One nite the queen went for a 3 am walk and did not notify the watch. A Guard seeing movement drew down on the shadow and yelled halt and was ready to shoot the intruder. It was the Queen. She never went for a midnite walk again without notifying the watch. She told the story. So yes.

This is not a toy soldier. He has been trained to the highest levels of one of the most professional armies the world has known and has more than likely seen active service. His job is to protect the sovereign by any and all means. If challenged by a Guardsman, don't think he's not serious.

Maybe people should have respect and stay off fence ... that way he would not have to be 'Crazy aggressive'. Bare in-mind that these guards are serving soldiers and they have a job to do.

Piece of advice to tourists: Guards are not different from soldiers, they are soldiers, elite soldiers, I would advise anyone to show respect and not let there country or themselves down.

They are just infantry solders so about £16-18k PA plus benefits.
They don't always guar, they do get deployed just like any other soldier. It is quite an honour to be selected to be a royal guard.

At the end of the day its that soldiers job to protect that area and if his attention is on some kid for climbing on a fence then he might not notice something else happening somewhere else which needs his attention. It is a risk they cannot take no matter who the person is.

@layththuraya Those rifles carry live ammunition, if someone attempted to climb over the fence they would be detained at gunpoint and ordered to get on the floor face down. If there were a clear danger, such as the person who climbed over the fence having a weapon like a gun or grenade, the guard would immediately for the safety of himself, the public and the royal family, take the shot and it would be shoot to kill. So in short yes, plus a lot of them have killed Taliban, they won't hesitate.

I fail to understand how ANYONE would believe that. If you truly have served in the Armed Forces, you would not speak such lowly of those you call "chavs". Whether they were chavs or not before they joined, the discipline these men have gained from training, and when they are in that uniform, guarding the Royal Family and serving our country, means that they have certainly earned my UTMOST respect. I went to school with someone who was always getting the cane and the slipper, was seen as having no prospects and was going on the dole until he decided he wanted to be a soldier. He joined the local regiment at 18, saw service in Northern Ireland, Belize anf Germany, and said the army was the best thing that happened to him as he saw a lot of life and made some great friends.
I dont think people realise that these guards can and they will shoot you if it looks like youre trying to get in.
