This video will show you how to share your games on the Microsoft Store and subscriptions such as Xbox Game Pass for PC and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate with your friends and family.
Works with Windows 10 and Windows 11 and DLCs such as Halo Infinite Campaign.
(Does not work with consumables such as vbucks or boosters that can be brought more than once)
Please note there is a limit of up to 10 devices you can remove devices here account.micros...

i've been trying to do this all day but my other account with the game on it has a windows pin i never set up. i tried making a pin but i couldn't figure out how to because the old account is signed into a windows 8 computer, using asus instead of microsoft.
This still worked for me yesterday. Although, today when i try to use this method, the install goes away as soon as I sign out of the account. I wonder if they somehow fixed it? It could just be me though

So basically my friend is gamesharing his gamepass ultimate to my xbox. If I log on his account onto my PC and install a game and I install that same game on my account on my xbox, will the progress from both games sync up?
That will depend on the game you can find a list of Cross Progression games here www.xbox.com/games/xbox-play-anywhere
And will you have the progress from the account sharing or a new game file?
It will be your own progress, achievements etc.

So my dad game shares with me. I am on pc and he is on xbox. When I try to install halo mcc on pc it shows that I don't have the dlc so when I log into his acct on the pc it's all there and downloaded but when I swap back to mine it still says I gotta install the dlcs even tho its all there....?

If it is Game Pass for PC you will need to follow these steps in the video. If it is for console you will need to turn it on in settings.

I'm trying this between me and my son, we currently share gamepass ultimate on our xbox's, but can't get this to work on pc. I've logged into his side of the pc, added my account (mine is the main one) to his MS store, and then logged back in as him, and it still says he needs to purchase GPU

Ok so I have GPU on my main PC account but it's due to expire soon and I don't have a console as I'm PC only with the Xbox app. I've seen that you can do gamesharing on the consoles but is there any way I can do it on PC too?
Like say buying 1$ for a month of GPU on an alt account and Gamesharing it or whatever so that I can continue playing my GPU games on my main account, but using the alts cheaper subscription.
Yeah just follow the video and you alt account will have access to all the games. But not perks or rewards.

so you just signed into the account that owned the game? and then signed back into your account and you were able to share? i just tried it with a friend but didnt work?
Sign into to the account the owns the game, download/start the download then sign into to the other account that doesn't own the game.

Hello, I would ask, I am trying to mimick the method of sharing GamePass as I currently do on console with 2 accounts on my xbox, one having GamePass Ultimate while the other is my account for saved data. I would like to try this on pc, is there a way to sign in to both accounts at once like on console so that I am able to receive the benefits from the activated account and use my normal account to continue my progress? I tried some work around yet everytime I get it to the option to allow me to play or switch accounts it kicks me out of cloud gaming when im at the games main screen menu?

Will this method work for “dlcs” that are also owned? I bought halo infinite campaign and want to share it to my brother but it is technically considered a “dlc” for the multiplayer.
Yes all dlcs will share, consumables eg vbucks will not share

Yes, it works with all games on the Microsoft Store including Forza Horizon 5 and it's add-ons

you have to install it while you are on the account that owns the game

The account with the game still needs to be connected with the PC you are Game Sharing with.

@@goldknight8350 yes you can both play java and bedrock versions since they both are on game pass and at the same time. You can share your games on 10 device's including your own.

Your account still needs to be connected to the PC but not signed in. As long a the device is listed here account.microsoft.com/devices/content it is fine.

Yes you can have 10 devices playing at the same time. If it is a Xbox Live game each user will need their own Xbox Live account (no subscription required)

If I'm buying... say... Minecraft on my account and my PC and my brother wants to have Minecraft as well but without spending another dime, do I have to sign his account on my PC so that he can download the game or do I have to sign-in *_my_* account on *_his_* PC? The tutorials I've read so far are messing with me and I'm legitimately confused.
You can only have Minecraft on both accounts if it is throught the Xbox gamepass if not you have to buy another account (unless you share an acount)

You need to sign out of your personal account then press sign in

@@shadi8475 Gmail will work if it has a Microsoft account linked to it. To add a personal account (not a school or work account you need to click on your name/email address then press sign out. In order to add another personal account.
