As a og at 54 these are the first pair of Jordan military blue 4's that I ever had and I love wearing them. Yeah mine had a few flaws but at the end of the day they're just shoes and are meant to be worn. I agree that Nike and Jordan brand should do better QC checks since they keep jacking up the prices.
i'm 56 and got my first flawed pair of SNKRS drops with these 4's, which are my 1st pair of Military Blues too. unlike many others, my powder Blue 9's were perfect. luck of the draw with Nike's QC 🤷🏾♂️
Shoes are meant to be worn and meant to be worn out over time exactly how a car is. Once you bought it, the depreciation value goes down. You can preserve as long as you can and resell it but you won’t cough up the same that you paid unless it’s a very rare release.
Yeah. The flaws are really minor. All stuff that you would have or wouldn't notice after a few wears. The leather quality is above average for a Jordan 4. People put too much emphasis on leather softness, which is different than quality.
Funny how everyone complains, but they still sell out. As long as shoes are selling out, jordan brand won't change. If you want them to change, stop buying. They will be forced to fix the things people complain about. Mainly QC issues.
Here in Taiwan when you cop in store on release date they ask your size(can only purchase one per person) and the staff shows and lets you check the shoe before you pay because they won”t accept returns (this is previous to a wide release like this one seems to be).
That's actually not a bad idea. Heck, they basically do the same when I purchase my plastic water pistols. I have to make sure it's operable because once I take it out of the shop, I'm stuck with it. lol Unfortunately, many of us (myself included) shop online. We're quite literally gambling when we click "submit order".
Me & my girl hit on the SD so I got my double up. After seeing these videos on the quality n all that when I finally got around to opening them (yesterday) I was nervous af but both my pairs is good normal 4’s nothing tragic & I love how close they are to the true OG’s (1989)
My EA pair was fine. None of the mentioned flaws. I do notice the more Off-white bluish tint to the leather, and darker shade of blue for accents, but not a deal breaker for me. I had these in 90'. I get a 2nd pair Sat. I aint waiting 30 more years for this OG.
I hit on the EU shock drop and got my pair in yesterday. Sliiiiiiiight imperfections on the suede and I think a glue stain on the air bubble. I mean it is what it is, no one's gonna drop down to the ground to check em. Good enough for me, going on feet today!
I agree man, shoes are meant to be worn. The colorway is the most important feature to me. I hit on the shock drop, and had a pink stain on the heal stitching straight out the box just like the example you showed. It washed off, life goes on.
Decided to buy the pine green sb 4s instead of these due to reviews on quality control but hearing they’ll realise them sb joints in military colourway soo I’ll wait on them
Them being called ‘white navy’ as opposed to military blue, can expect a different shade of blue to be used. But end of day will look very similar anyways
I've just ordered via EA, but if the leather on mine is as bad as I'm hearing then they'll be going straight back to Nike with a handwritten note to stop mugging us all off. The recent Craft and Bred pairs were acceptable quality, so these should be no different IMO.
The worst for me personally is my size is a 17 so I don’t have much choice in the return game. I would never be able to go to a store to buy my shoes anyway. Every sneaker I have is internet purchased
I hit on the shock drop and luckily my pair came in with basically no flaws. I think I lucked out big time and should definitely keep them cuz not everybody's pairs will look A1 quality control wise like you said
For the price base, for youth/adult gymshoes. Nike definitely should step up their thorough inspection process of every pair before boxing the shoes because nobody wants to feel like they're settling for a pair of gymshoes they spent over $100 especially the pair that's over $150 or more. The gymshoes that's $200+ should come flawless!
I have been rocking this channel for about ten years now...I am 30 years old now & I have stopped caring for the maintenance of my shoes. I used to care for not creasing them & rocking those sneaker shields but I have outgrown that and just enjoy the sneakers when you wear them. I love that my highschool kicks are coming out again & flawed or not, it shouldnt matter because they will show wear & tear overtime ! #WearYourSneakers
You go into these shoe stores and you see them selling lightning 4s for $400 plus and see the quality of the shoes are worse than reps. They have shoes on display with glue marks, stitching flaws, discoloration, inconsistency’s etc. they are robbing the consumer but yet the consumers now a days aren’t knowledgeable about the shoes. It’s sad to see people spending $200+ on shitty quality. But like you said. Jordan brand was never really considered luxury but also consider compared to years back. Even back in 2013 the “shitty” quality was better than today’s. Unfortunately though it’s not just the shoes that is cheaped out on quality. That’s just inflation for you. Mass produced products with high prices and low grade quality that wont last longer than 5 years. A buddy of mine is a sneaker restorer and works on shoes that are seperating and falling apart that have came out within the last 2 years. Yes shoes are meant to be worn but knowing you are selling a product that is meant for some sort of longevity do better.
I liked the pictures of the shoes, but in hand my pair didn't look that good. It came to me with creased toe boxes like someone wore them just to stand on their toes as hard as possible, then took them off. Flipped them for a little bit of profit just because I'd be a fool to just return them.
When adjusted for inflation these are still cheaper than the OG's. These shoes are pretty good quality, but the insoles are really thin. I do a lot of walking at my job and these things are killing my feet.
100% they are. I wont give them another dime. 3,4, 5 hundred for a pair of Jordans now? Ridiculous. I started buying reps and dont regret it one bit. The quality of them now is honestly right up there with Nike or even better. Ive been wearing real Jordans since 1985 too
I’m picky when it comes to TIMBS, want them to be as fresh as possible, but with Js I’m with you, if I like the model and color way, it’s an easy cop for me. The Nike Air is a + as well
As somebody whos been wanting this shoe since 2012 and understands that the way this pair looks closer to the 89 down to finally copping a pair for retail finally, im happy with my pair. This pair and the breds are some of the more comfortable 4s ive owned
Mine came without blemish, which is almost unheard of. I copped the early drop and they look dope as hell. I have the 2012 pair and they're better than these, but I still dig this pair and been wearin' 'em like crazy.
Kids complaining about these wouldn’t have survived during my era 2010s midsole chipping after 1 wear, plastic leather, heel tabs breaking off. These are great quality to me. All my pairs came straight from Nike.
I've been collecting for 20 years. Just opened mine. Quality is just fine. Luckily, no flaws. Like u said, its just a regular jordan 4 quality. However, I am shocked that the blue and white are so drastically different on each of these releases. I never seen 89 pair in person but have the 06,12 and now 24. Could almost be 3 different colorways. It's the only Retro I've ever seen that changes this much. Odd. Still gorgeous tho!
Mine from shock drop have bad QC issues. So bad I'm trying to cop one more pair to try to get a little better pair or can make one good pair out of 2 😂
For real. I stopped wearing Jordan’s at 19 years old. There are literally tons of much better quality and better looking shoes. Hype kids still rock Jordan’s. No style at all honestly
Im 27 and i just got my first pair of Js on sale, idk but could never justify payin 200+ for shoes that are gonna get creased and dirty i always wore airforces and adidas my whole life never understood the overhyped 1k resale shoe game just for some differnt color its goofy af to me.
I get ya opinion man like yeah if you get a pair you could return it then get your money back, but it should be the case especially in this economy with that price tag you should get something to where you dont feel the need to return it.
Being someone who works in the quality field as a professional I can tell you that nothing is perfect. In fact, imperfections are allowed within a certain tolerance. Red ink stains aside they can never guarantee you a flawless shoe.
Just got mine delivered, and they're flawless! These are just as I remembered in 89. This is what the shoe was when they first dropped! NGL, some of them damged ones you showed look way too bad to be retail. They might be reps.
People say there's not that many pairs out there. 40,000 is not a lot of tennis shoes. sneaker shops never got some of their shipments so it's going to be mad crazy tomorrow in my humble opinion 🤔
They’re truly one of the closest OG pairs we’ve gotten lately, these and the powder blue 9’s. If we are honest though when are 4’s made of the best materials JB has? The crafts, AMM, the SB’s…..That’s about it. They know they can skimp on what the hot shoe is. That’s why base level Dunks have been trash for so long. 12’s aren’t hot right now and I know I can pick up any pair of those and the quality is better than a 4.
I hit on the shock drop and when they came in I inspected them and mines had good quality no major glue stains, no creases I got blessed with a good pair! I think these 2024 are better then the retros IMO, Nike air on the back and the OG shape🔥🔥🔥 and they're not that uncomfortable I been wearing my pair daily since I got em and I love everything about them
They been scamming us bro nice of yall to finally catch up! Love how they say they aren’t trying to perpetuate resale but the barely stock any kobes when they are selling them. Been a life long fan of kobe & it’s impossible to get of stuff rn without paying resale & nike is literally perpetuating it.
I actually don’t think they spend much in marketing as much anymore. I ain’t seen a Nike commercial in years. And all these platforms and content creators provide release dates and etc for free( from Nike). Nike isn’t paying them to advertise shoes they pay to carry in stock or shoe in their content. That comes out of these separate entities own budget or time. I don’t see a commercial for retros coming out every month 🤷🏾♂️ so they could lower some costs if they want.
Let me tell you about Nikes Return Policy! I bought the Craft 3s. I knew they fit a little big but still wore them out for a couple hours intending to live with it. Got home & regretted the decision. So I scrubbed the bottoms, & re-stuffed the toe box. Next day I woke up, smoked, and put the 3’s in the wrong box lol. Nike Outlet still returned them & gave me my box back.😂
Looking like a lot of you all dont much remember when Nike actually gave AF about QC. I remember a lot of these retros & premium releases, especially in the 2000s. Nike had tops QC, imo. Aside from prices being lower than now, most pairs were solid. The current complaints are valid. Theres really no excuses for a brand like Jordan, or Nike, to charge premium prices for less than premium product. Also, some shops outside of Nike don't allow returns, especially on hyped releases.
I have a ton of Jordan 4s including sb 4s and bred 4s reamagined 4s etc etc etc . These 4s while not the highest quality they are still probably my favorite 4s I own. So tuff on foot
I got my AJ 4 blue for retail which is around $235 (tax included). Jordan is not worth anywhere near $200+ unless it is one of those extremely limited release.
both my black and red 4s and military blue 4s have a bad flaw on the right shoe heel.. almost like someone stepped on them and made the heel look short. like come on $215 and they can’t make the shoes match?
All 4 pairs of the size 12 I got have zero QC issues. That’s from Nike, Footlocker, SNS & Feature. No issues whatsoever. No one wanted these out of fear or whatever. ~smh~ Just a damn shame cuz these on foot hit!
I got dem on early access and just got dem earlier this week and was a little bit disappointed they didn’t make the leather and midsole a little softer
I got two pairs and the first I got my hands on are pretty flawless, no stains or scuffs. I already started wearing them, but isn’t that what they are for?
I feel you 100% I want the sneaker cause of look and if it looks hot I want it. I just wanted another 4 with an og colorway and the nike air on the back. The grid being off I can see people complaining about but let's be real the only person examining the sneaker with a magnifying glass is yourself. Also like you said creases are gonna come regardless.
Honestly I Can’t wait on this release, it’s one of a few ogs that I can actually have the opportunity to grab without paying resell price. I’ve been wanting these since 2012. For the first time since I remember the hype it’s not around regarding the releases that I wanted, I’ll ride the wave fosho.
So due to bad inflation, Nike/Jordan Brand can go up on the price year by year, then limit the pairs, but can't guarantee you a quality sneaker in return. Some people out here spending money they shouldn't spend on these uncomfortable sneakers, and Nike knows this. But nonetheless Nike/Jordan Brand as pair companies should either drop the price and up the pairs sold, or keep the current price, and up the pairs sold while improving the quality control. Those "Bots" they tell us they're eliminating, they should hire them for QC before release date. 🧐
Haven't got an early pair but signed up for 1 raffle and hit, wanted them, got em and i'm happy 😎 If the quality on them is ass when they come then they're going back and like you said keep it pushing
Yeah that lil yachty intro should be your standard intro from now on, people rock heavy with it and apart from that the comedy check on sneaker community is refreshing 🔥 new sub 💯💯
I personally thought it was good for what it is. The Black Military 4s were fairly bad tbh compared to these... and maybe the QC should be better since they priced hiked them at $215 MSRP.
Hit on shock drop & EA . Got my double up both pairs flawless 🔥🤘🏾.. Nike isn’t a premium brand so people need to stop bxxtching & go buy designer instead

Nike Outlet still returned them & gave me my box back.😂
Quality was tridash and Nike gets away with it time and time again
Great vid. I lucked up and got a pair. Can’t wait to rock ‘em.
big W
I got the red stain in the same spot. It’s not that noticeable, but I see it! I agree with what you’re saying and I’m still going to keep them
Expecting quality from Nike is like expecting your dead beat dad to come back from the grocery store. It ain’t happenin son
Cold intro brotha!!!
Love the Lil Yatchy Walk Thru 🎉🎉
🙌🏼
I have a ton of Jordan 4s including sb 4s and bred 4s reamagined 4s etc etc etc . These 4s while not the highest quality they are still probably my favorite 4s I own. So tuff on foot
I got my AJ 4 blue for retail which is around $235 (tax included). Jordan is not worth anywhere near $200+ unless it is one of those extremely limited release.
Been watching you and Bullitrc again like it’s 2014. Good times are coming, I can feel it.
I bought a pair of navy 4s and they came with a crease in 1 and I still rock them
This is the same shit that people ran about the 2015 og Aqua VIII's colors.
Those were spot on.
i cleaned mine & they started too peel at the top im pissed off for $234 i didint expect the leather too be super cheap
both my black and red 4s and military blue 4s have a bad flaw on the right shoe heel.. almost like someone stepped on them and made the heel look short. like come on $215 and they can’t make the shoes match?
Got the shock drop and I have no issues with the quality
my pair looks fine. only imperfection is the paint on the soles but its really not super noticeable
That intro is tough
These new ninjas look like cupcakes and buttercups lol smh
Got my shock drop pair and returned my bad pair hopefully can hit on release date
What insole do you swap out for yours
Move Soles
The real scam is how they giving us Nike air black metallic 5s again before ever giving us true OG Nike air grapes 😤
Bred 4s got the crown this year. I don't think anything else coming out will top them.
Possibly. But if the BC3's end with good quality, the crown might go to them. We'll see.
@fredbrooks7529 The way these drops are looking, I don't have high hopes.
I want that white thunders just because of the color my favorite
@@KAST403 cool
The carmine b grade were amazing! That made the shoe unique! Sometimes I feel that happens on purpose just to mess with us. However I liked
I believe they should make better quality shoes especially if they going to be sneaky and up the pricing!
For 180-300 every shoe should have a special box or briefcase(cant believe the 17 gets it) jordan and Nike been doing us dirty for a min frfr
how the hell did anyone get a pair? I ordered my pair within 10 seconds of them becoming available and I didn't get them. So disappointed.
I got a w off snkrs and theyre clean af no flaws. I think people are sleeping on these as they resemble the o.g 89 cut
People are surprised their sweatshop made shoes arent perfect...
My par is almost perfect i had only a little line pressed on my toebox. but after putting socks inside to give pressure on that line it dissapered
It's the same exact blue as the Wizards 3 that recently came out
Hit on shock drop & EA . Got my double up both pairs flawless 🔥🤘🏾.. Nike isn’t a premium brand so people need to stop bxxtching & go buy designer instead
