Couple of hints to this excellent video. Remove lower airbag and air duct. Remove fuse box cover. You can reach with long extensions and a swivel socket the two top bolts through the fusebox and beside the steering column. For the metal bracket in front of the clutch pedal put a pipe on it and bend it. I found this method faster but I do this for living. If you have more time as a diy job do it as shown in the video.
The crucial location and undoing of the bolts that hold clutch pedal in place was sped through at super top speed! Hard to see where the nuts were, and how many?
Hello. Just noticed on my A3 8V 1.4 what appears weeping of brake fluid from the clutch master cylinder. Do you have a video of you stripping down the old pedal unit before disposing as planning just to replace the clutch master cylinder only.
excellent video massive thumbs up . just wondering where you sourced the pedal and master ? Mine has started to play up and need to do the same job as you . Another question is what were the symptoms of a bad master ? i wonder if they are the same as mine
Thanks for the comment and apologies for late reply Symptoms was the clutch pedal sticking down. I got the part from a local motor part factors called Tm factors 😀
@@GRUNT129 my cars clutch , sometimes becomes very soft at top and hard at bottom , sometimes i have to pull it up with my foot , sometimes everything is okay . Is it the same problem with the master pump like in your video or should check something else ?
