Great video! It's surprisingly actually really enjoyable, mostly thanks to your explanations. It makes it genuinely interesting, not just seeing that this gameplay is bad, but also /why/ it's bad and how things work, like the hitboxes and such. I was already convinced to never play this game btw; this shows me that that was right :)
Normal appears to be way above normal level. Even normal clears use max lives and bombs and still come short at the end. Though, if you know in advance and route some of the stages and spells, it should be very doable. But that might be way too harsh and painful for a normal player to do, especially since there is no spell practice... It's crazy to say, but maybe easy could be a normal "normal" experience ?
Welp, in the normal playthrough I glanced at, it feels like the guy came in completely blind starting from at most the stage 4 bosses, maybe even sooner. And the guy literally didn't attempt to dodge anything at all up to that point, they just bombed their way through everything, even for a lone bullet. I think people can do better than that if they try, although once again... it's not helped by the game
Actually, this game is generally really good. The patterns are really creative. It's just that the difficulty is way too bullshit. Now go play Magic Mirror of Everison World
