      Hi, I am so sorry for the late reply. You have much time for the transit while you are going to Nairobi. But when you are coming back, you have a short time for the transit. So I suggest you walk directly towards your gate and not to spend time in a duty-free area or for coffee. Because it might be a long walk. Just focus on your way. Have a safe and enjoyable journey.

    I arrive from Algiers at terminal 1 of Frankfurt airport at 5:30 a.m. with transit to Chicago still at terminal 1 at 9:15 a.m. Is the distance between the place of arrival and the place of boarding for the USA far? Do we have to redo the security and customs formalities? Is there a place to rest during the 3 hour wait? This is my first time traveling and a little worried especially since we are a fairly old couple. THANKS

      Hi Sir, sorry for the late reply. I just saw your comment. When you arrive at the Frankfurt Airport, I suggest you watch the TV screens and verify the number of your flight number and the gate number of your flight to Chicago. Because the gate number could be variable. The distance will be dependent on the number of your gate. You have 3 hours of layover. So you have enough time to reach out to your gate. And if you need help or additional information, immediately approach the airport staff. They are very helpful and very friendly. 2) After the duty-free area there are coffee shops and you can rest there. But don't forget the time of your flight. Because it's very important to be at the gate on time.

    • @travellingmemories7400
      @travellingmemories7400  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      3) There are immigration counters and automated immigration counters.

      When you arrive at the airport, just be cool. Because you can understand the system very easily. Always I suggest you ask for information or help from the airport staff. And keep monitoring the TV screens about your flight number and your gate. I wish you a safe and joyful trip, Sir.

      Hi, yes, certain countries need to acquire a Germany Airport Transit visa when flying to their destination via Germany, India comes in that list. All travellers from India must apply for a transit visa for Germany. I strongly suggest you contact the German embassy through via email and ask for the current transit visa regulations. Because there are new updates every year. The German embassy can only give you the right information.

      Hi Sir, I just received the notification of your comment. Am sorry for the late reply. I have checked the information on the Internet, Sir. And this is what I have found. both flights are connecting and on the same ticket, then no, Saudi citizens don't need an airport transit visa as long as they stay airside. This is valid for all Schengen countries.Aug 31, 2023

      Hi, I am a European citizen, and every time I travelled through frankfurt Airport, I passed through immigration counter. I haven't seen sécurité check. I have seen non European passport holders in immigration counters. You have 1 hour and 20 minutes. So, I suggest you finish the immigration process as soon as possible and focus on your way to your gate. It's a big airport.

      Hi Sir, I am so sorry for the late reply. I just received the notification of your comment. When you arrive at the Frankfurt Airport, you have to walk to the immigration counter, and then you have to walk towards your gate number of your flight.. Keep monitoring the TV screens about your flight details. You will have your boarding pass with you, and you can see your flight number on it. Sometimes, you can't see the gate number on your boarding pass of your flight. So keep monitoring your flight number and your destination on the TV screens while you are walking. There are information counters and you can approach them and get the information you need. So don't have to be worried during your trip. Its very easy to get to your connecting flight at the Frankfurt Airport. And you have enough time to reach the gate. When you have any doubts at the airport, immediately try to talk to an officer. They are very helpful. Have a peaceful and safe trip Sir

    Hi there,we’re coming from Toronto arriving in Frankfurt then have a connecting flight to Budapest, I only have 1 hour and 10 min layover, so far Lufthansa has been leaving Toronto on time, I really hope we will get lucky as well and have no delay. What happens if we are late in Frankfurt? Does our connecting flight wait for us or will we be put on the next flight that same day since it’s not our fault we missed it?
    Also, will we have enough time to get to our gate if we will be on time? Do we have to go through immigration? Can you please explain the process?
    Thank you!

      Hi Amrita, You won't lose your flight. Because frankfurt Airport is well organised and they know about your arrival. Yes, you will have to go through an immigration counter. It won't take much time. And 1 hour and 10 minutes is ok to reach at your gate. But I suggest you not to spend time in duty-free area. Because the important thing is to reach out to your gate as soon as possible. Just walk a little faster. Your flight will wait until all the passengers get on board. You don't need to be worried. Enjoy your trip.

      Hi, for sure but I suggest you contact the German embassy and your airline and ask for information if you need a transit visa. because there are conditions for each country. sometimes, if your transit will be in 12 hours, there are countries doesn't require a transit visa.

I suggest you walk a little quicker than usual. Because you have only 50 minutes to catch your flight. And avoid spending time in the duty-free area. Normally, the airline officials will wait for their passengers. So don't be worried.
