    Ken, my name is Ken also. I really appreciate how you stay on point without a lot of excessive commentary. Most of these other product review guys just rattle on and on … but you get right to the point. Thank u for helping me to improve my broadcast.

    Had my Rodecaster now for several months and use the Rode Podmic. I am still working on my levels to make my voice sound right for my podcast. Great video.

      I'm using the Rode PodMic now and actually like it more with my voice than the Shure. Constantly tweaking though! Appreciate you watching!

    Great video Ken. No cludlifter or similar?

    • @KentheContentCoach
      @KentheContentCoach  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Rodecaster has built in phantom power. There are some use cases that a Cloudlifter makes sense, but with my mics, it's not needed. (Rode Podmic and Shure MV7.)

    Hi - when I press audio processing to change my settings all I get is a bunch of slide toggles that represent all the filters. All I can do is slide “in / off”
    How do I get into the details of all the filters ?
    I do have the latest firmware
    Thanks

    Great Video. I've got a rodecaster pro as well. I'm just now starting to use earbuds from the front headset. How do I remove my voice coming through the mic, but yet still hear the sounds I play or other guest speaking? Just want to remove myself from what I'm hearing.

  • @thementaledgepodcast8012

    So i love this unit but, i have not been happy with the noise i hear when nobody is talking. it's like a hum. almost like i have the gain up too much. however, i don't and i have even purchased a cloudlifter knock off to allow me to turn down the gain on my podmic. Noise is still there. I'm wondering if I should enable ducking on each channel. aside from that i love this unit. its dependable and good looking in videos. i am just a little bit of an audio snob and when i mix the podcast i really notice the tiny hum when there are dead moments in the conversation.
    Great video by the way.

    • @KentheContentCoach

      I actually use Ecamm for streaming. But it would be similar. I use it for all audio processing, sound effects, mics, etc.

    • @KentheContentCoach

      Correct. This will route all of your audio through to your computer and in-ear monitors.

    how can i pair out 2 different bluetooth speakers?
    i.e i want that the sound played from the Rode caster device, to be sent to 2 different bluetooth speakers.. help me if u know how this works.. My bluetooth speaker is the mini jbl and another bluetooth speaker.. would be nice to signal sounds to different areas of the house party.. thx

    • @KentheContentCoach
      @KentheContentCoach  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am not sure if that's possible for your use case. You can connect a studio monitor through the headphone jacks in the back, but it will only play the sounds from the Rodecaster itself.

  • @samfraulino
    @samfraulino 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Curious, I am a huge user of the RCP, and I have the Effects Editor On as well, however, I am wondering sometimes if it’s use better to use in basic mode where the effects are just either off or on and leave it at that, what are your thoughts on that. I am not an audio expert and sometimes I feel it’s a hassle to mess with the advanced settings sometimes yet I agree you can fine tune your sound. I just wonder if everyone thinks the Rodecaster Pro out of the box, leaving the adv effects editor off is a good way to record?

    • @KentheContentCoach
      @KentheContentCoach  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm a big believer in using all creation tools in the easiest way possible for you as the creator. I like the fine control of the effects editor, but only used the basic options until I was comfortable with expanding that. Out of the box, it's definitely a huge upgrade over only using a USB mic. I would recommend new users use it that way, and then try to learn and apply the advanced features at their comfort level!

    what happened to the reverb? why is it gone now?

    • @KentheContentCoach
      @KentheContentCoach  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      According to Rode:
      If you downloaded the beta version of 2.1, you may have noticed that we removed the reverb effect from the firmware. Don't worry, it will return! We’re working on making it a more practical and fun feature, so keep your eyes peeled for it in future updates, and be sure to let us know how you might use reverb in your podcasts.
