I love the ALL IN ONE process. It is amazing that now we can do in minutes what use to take hours or even days a few years ago. That is why i bought it. Premium price and premium solution for good quality audio.
Thanks so much Mark! thank you so subscribing and supporting the channel too! So I ordered the rodecaster pro as a bundle with 4 podmics from Gear4Music and it came with 3 or 4 of them :)
Great video. I will be getting my Rodecaster Pro delivered in about a week. I cannot wait to get it. I'm excited to get it going with my podcast and to use it for other things like IG Livestreams and on Clubhouse.
question..is there a way to set up ducking on the usb or soundbank channel? when we are reacting to videos it would be amazing if the audio from the video lowered automatically when someone speaks
Appreciate the post. Have you ever seen your RodeCaster screen flicker before? Mine have when I was attempting to send audio signal via speaker outputs into my Cannon M3.
Nice one mate. I've been producing podcasts since 2005 and the Rodecaster Pro changed the game immeasurably when it was released. It's now my most used piece of kit. One of the most underrated features, IMO, is that it recognises the mics plugged in (if they're Rode mics), or you can select which type of mic it is, then customise the sound captured from each mic.
Love the vids man! :) have a rodecaster pro myself! :) I Too am also a freelance photographer/videographer/podcast producer so love your channel. Anyways keep up the good work dude! :)
Great Vid, I love the rode procaster pro, only problem with it I have is when I’m doing a live stream and I’m playing audio through from my iMac using the usb connection it doesn’t pick up anything on that slider? So to get audio I have to go through the Bluetooth route. This is to get audio picked up via a broadcaster tool like B.U.T.T
This probably means you have the USB Mix Minus engaged. Settings > Advanced > Audio > Processing. Just be careful of feedback loops if recording video chats with guests.
Do you think this should be suitable for streaming internet radio because uses docking I was thinking of using this for my music on one channel and channel one from a microphone and then I can connect it to the laptop to do the rest of the stuff I need to do what is there any sound effects on the microphone like echo or something
Yes it is. I've watched a few videos of folks that use the rodecaster for their Internet radio. I'm hoping to start my own Internet radio station using the rodecaster.
Great video. I love my Rodecaster Pro. I finally downloaded 2.1.2 and am figuring out the MIDI controls. I didn’t know about the upswipe which is great as I live stream my podcast “The Mic’d Files.” my name is Michael File, so I obviously did a play on words as I’d did with my furniture business, ProFile Finish. Good info, Connor!
How do I set up my PodMIc it is so so very quiet :( and when I move fader up I get hissing and gain level hissing. Do you get rid of it in post production?
Good video. Looking for a little help with my rode caster pro. When having someone on the phoneline and I'm playing something either on my pads or from computer the person on the phone does not hear what I'm playing. Is there a feature for allowing or preventing this?
Hey I like the podcast, thank you for sharing. Just a suggestion: it took like 2.5 minutes to hear the first feature. A lot of initial talking. Our attention spans are short these days. But thank you for the video!!
Thanks for in info! I plan to turn on Ducking. Feel free to check out my podcast Coming Up Next Time. Let me know what you think. Keep up the great work
That is a LOT of low end on your voice. Maybe a touch too much? I understand that audio is ultimately subjective, so take the above with a mountain of salt. Edit: To better visualize what I'm hearing, think J.J Abrams 2009 "Star Trek" reboot, and it's now infamous overuse of bloom. Do yourself a favor, if you haven't already seen it, have a go. Lots of fun to be had there. Anyhow. A little bloom, yes, a lot of bloom, no. The same is true to any frequency being altered pre or post processing.
@@ConnorWells I get it, I do too, but there's deep, and than there's muddied. Boxy. Woolen. Again, I mean no disrespect and there's a chance it could be my monitors just having too hyped a low end is all. Have a good day, and best of luck on all your future projects.
So you call yourself or producer and you think the audience is so stupid you have to tell them that you're rolling an intro and then you play the intro 😂. Maybe you're more suited to telling people you're going to dig a ditch and then go dig a ditch It takes you nearly 3 minutes before you even get to the first tip. You shouldn't even be producing any podcast Hell you're not even qualified to listen to a podcast.
Great vid, Connor!
thanks so much for always making the best and supporting creators!
Hey, Rode. That ducking sure could use some globalization :D those audio beds ain’t gonna duck themselves.
the swipe up...brilliant! Didnt know - Thanks!
i know right! Thanks so much for your kind words! Ive just posted a new video about the rodecaster pro! You should check that out! too!
Nice, I got my Rodecaster Pro last month and really enjoying working through the various features.

Amazing thanks so much for watching! 🙂
Thanks for the video. Where did you get the sound bank overlay card?

@@ConnorWells ... thank you. Cheers!
Well done sir. A very informative video . . .
Glad you liked it
Thanks, I did learn one or two things. My favorite feature is the RODCaster pro itself
Good choice!
Thank you, for explaining ducking. 🙏
My pleasure! Thanks for supporting the channel!
Thanks for the sorcery, with the swipe up feature. 👀💕
So amazing isn’t it!
I like a VERY DEEP voice with my rodecaster, what are the BEST settings for my mic to get the best deep voice? I use a Rode pod mic. THANKS!!!!!
I use the same mic, going into voice settings and set deep, also bring the low end as high as you can
Great video. I will be getting my Rodecaster Pro delivered in about a week. I cannot wait to get it. I'm excited to get it going with my podcast and to use it for other things like IG Livestreams and on Clubhouse.
Nice one man! is clubhouse still big? :)
Interesting audio technology Connor I'm very intrigued by it.
Thank you man!

I would love to get one but it's way to expensive for me right now so I still have to struggle with Garage band

Good question, what level have you set the mic to on the display?
@@ConnorWells I have the presets set to PodMice and the level gain is 45 and I still have to swallow the mic to sound decent
Hmm that’s odd, maybe you need a different xlr cable
@@ConnorWells I just bought new one today from D'Anddario Planet Waves PW=M-10 XLR cable, I'll let you know. Thx
