Hey Guys love the tutorial.. very insightful and helpful.. I have a question what is the device/software that the instructor is using to change the camera angle in the video?
So glad you found this helpful! That software is Ecamm which is for Macs, and for PC you can go with vMix to do everything you saw (and more! 😎).
Thank you for putting out this amazing video series. In this video, you mentioned about USB connection to the computer. I have USB connected to port 1 and on the other end, connect to Macbook Pro, but I do not see the USB symbol on my Rode Caster Pro 2 Display screen as shown in your video. Am I missing anything?
I like the videos. From the start I want the audio file being created when I record my show to be an MP3 file instead of a huge WAV file. I understand the benefits of a WAV file but I need it to be an MP3 file. Is it in SETTINGS somewhere?

No, the system icons can not be customized.

Thank you for a super easy and good walk through! Just want to set one thing straight though. The Ø is not a “unity symbol”. It is a letter in the Danish alphabet. It is part of the company name to honour its Scandinavian heritage. 😊

How did you change the color of your Record Button. I can't find out how. My Record Button is Purple and noticed yours is light blue.
You have to have a micro SD card installed in the RCP2 in order for it to turn green - green means it's ready to record. :)

Recommended way to handle a 4-person podcast where all headphone outputs are being used by the guests and I’m off camera producing the podcast, but want to monitor audio? Should I figure out a way to use the Monitor Out ports into my headphones or what?
You'll probably want to listen via the streaming tool you are using to send the content to the platform(s) you are using. That way you'll know what the audience is hearing.
@@LiveStreamingPros Thank you; I got a Hosa L and R TS splitter dongle thing that combines the L&R Monitor Out into one single TRS female that I plug my headphones into. That way I can control the monitor in realtime and hear what the guests are hearing too. I THINK this works, but I'm no expert.

I have a question: I'm using the Rodecaster Pro 2 Duo and have my guitar plugged into the first input. When I slide the fader up, the guitar volume increases as expected. However, since I'm connected to my computer via USB-C, the volume of the audio playing on my computer also increases, which I don't want. How can I set the device so that only the guitar audio increases without affecting the computer audio? This setup is for guitar practice, where I play a song on my computer and have the processed guitar output coming into the Rodecaster's input.
You'll need to connect the guitar to it's own controller and connect that to your computer or the RCP2.

Is it possible to connect a cable phone or hybrid phone in the traditional way? And is it possible, for example, to use the table to transmit radio broadcasts and at the same time have the same microphone used on air, be on broadcast and while playing music and be recording advertising for another computer or something like that? Finally, is it possible to pre-listen to the song I want to play next?

My sound pads aren’t working on the first page however the second page with the voice effects works. Do you have any pointers on what I should do?

How do you put effects on your recordings after you have recorded them
That's done in the editing phase using a tool like Premiere, Camtasia, etc.
Do you know what USB port is on this? For ports 1 and 2. 2.0, 3.0, 3.1, etc. additionally, what usb-c spec the cables are that are included also.

since we're streaming to TH-cam, Twitter and Facebook (where we can access recordings) do we still need to be recording the audio on the SD card on the unit itself?
We don't recommend recording to an SD card in this or in camera - if you want a local recording, record to your computer hard drive to avoid problems.
Do you know how to normalize all the effects? I’ve played with all of them so much I don’t know what the default setting are!
To reset a RodeCaster Pro II to factory settings, you can:
1) Press the gear icon
2) Press System
3) Press Information
4) Press Factory Reset

so this thing has no main output fader? How do you control the monitor output volume. It has dials for each headphone, but not for the most important speaker out? thats weird.

I just want to turn OFF the Mic Effects (Echo/Reverb) with one button. I can't use the PROCESSING Button because that turns off Everything alltogether. It's annoying to have to go into Effects just to turn on or off ECHO and/or REVERB "Individually. But NO easy button to turn off "BOTH" at once.

It does not work for me. i cant go to mic settings like you got there.
Sometimes you inadvertently skip a step, or don't get a setting quite right, and the easiest thing is to just start over to get things right.
