I have a Kenworth truck that was like this, plugged solid. AC was very weak. Lucky, I was able to remove a cover under the hood and blast the mud off. This example is a ton of work. Good for you.
Sad part is that they didn't replace the expansion valve which has been on there for decades, this "would" have been the time to do so, when it starts acting up, guess what? Gotta go in there AGAIN 🙄
What this video doesn't show is the fact that you have to remove the a pillar trims on both sides and unscrew the 4 gold 10mm nuts holding the airbag to the support beam way underneath the passenger side. They re hard to see. Oh and also that you have to remove the passenger side top vent to unbolt another 10mm bolt there. After that, the dash should be able to be popped out

I just got a quote from Meineke in western Washington state to have just the evaporator core replaced. $1,133.29. The core itself runs $415.67 online from a dealership store.
Excellent job. Not too many people will take that much of a car apart.
