if only I had known about these knock off fans sooner!!! I spent quite a bit on lian li fans as i wanted a hassle free setup but after seeing these and the price difference.....I am kicking myself. oh well if and when my fans fail then i will defo be sticking with knock offs
i own 3 sets of these, 1 set of reverse flow and 2 sets of normal ones, so far they have been fantastic, build quality for mine was decent and lighting was very good, would recommend these to anyone who weas interested.
After six years, I’m finally building a new PC, and I was shocked to see how much fan prices have skyrocketed! After putting 95% of my budget into quality parts, there was no way I was spending $80 on a three-pack of fans. I came across the set you mentioned in your video, and seeing your review confirmed my decision to go for them. The fact that the company also offers an RGB controller was a bonus. You saved me a ton of money, thank you for the helpful review!
It is possible that the fake ones are not actually fake but just the OEM that Lian Li buys from and slaps its logo on it with some additional modifications. Lots of AIO manufacturers are like this, using Asetek pump designs like Corsair, NZXT, Thermaltake.
Might be the same factory where they come from but guess so the "premium" (overpriced trash) brands have a better look on the quality check while these cheap china copy brands dont care it just need to be cheap as possible and look the same.
i bought them, put them in my Montech sky two and replaced the original Montech ones, less cable management, the original Montech rgb hub works fine with them too, im very happy with them, btw, i also sold the original Montech fans to cover the cost of these ones, even happier, much happier.
I have 3 fans that look pretty much the same as the ones you have. The model is called Jungle Leopard S12025. I paid for less than $18 total and I couldn't be happier, since they are durable and quiet enough for my need, while making cable management a lot cleaner and easier for just 20-25% the price of Lian Li/Phanteks/Corsair equivalents. My only complaint is that these fans have no RGB-less cable, so I end up with the RGB cable unplugged within the case. Other than that they are great and I can definitely recommend for people who want Unifans on a budget.
Just got mine today, they are very stiff to clip together first time. everything else is extremely easy and neat, the rgb isn't too bright, buying some more now to deck out my whole Lian Li O11 Dynamic case!
Just bought 6 of these costing under the price of what I’d be paying for 3 lian li fans. Crazy price difference I’m just hoping there worth it for now. Down the line I plan to get the actual lian li infinite fans but at the minute I can’t justify that price just for them to look good, these clearly do the job and I’ll be happy if they last me just until I can save enough for aesthetic upgrades in the future.
Maybe it's just me but the fake ones are even brighter? I got the real Lian li infinity fans and they are rather great but i seriously would consider getting the fake ones if the real ones ever fail Great video thanks for bringing it to my attention!
One alternative to Lian Li I encountered was the Gamdias Aeolus P2. I haven't seen any reviews on it as well, but I know that Gamdias is also a known brand in the gaming PC market
I just got these fans, and the build quality is definitely better than the stock Lian Li fans in the Lancool 2 Mesh RGB case. I had to replace them because one of the original Lian Li fans was starting to fail.
I made a new build a few month ago in which I had 3 of those in reverse blade at the bottom and one normal blade as exhaust. I also had 3 original Lian Li infinity on the AIO as top exhaust (As well as 2 140 TL LCD on the side). They might look a lot like the Lian Lis at first glance, but there are worlds between them. Even lookwise once installed, you could immediately see the difference between the top and bottom fans. Less LEDS with less elaborate sequences. Performance wise they run a lot louder than the original. Not a big deal up to 40%, but anything above that and they get really LOUD! Also, as the Prawn is saying, the difference in built quality is day and night. 2 months into my new build i caved and bought 4 addition Infinity fans to replace these. Still, you get what you pay for and for that money those are not bad, far from it actually, just don't expect them to perform similar just cause they look similar.
The thing i hate aboutt lian li is that i wanted the reverse blade option and you know how much it cost for a single reverse blade and i needed 6 and they cost $34-38 for a single fan that would cost like $204-228 for some fans the price of the knock off 3 pack would only get you a single lian li reverse blade
@@TheProvokedPrawn Exactly, learned that lesson. Also, let me take a second to thank you for all your vids on Lian Li products among other thing, you really helped me a lot with stuff.
Problem is the Lian Li ones are sold out everywhere in Canada, can’t find them anywhere except their official Aliexpress store and I am not paying $80 in shipping on top of $400+ worth of fans.
To be fair you can adjust the case fans to do zero in most motherboard bios' these days. Smart fan is an pretty widely adopted practice for the manufacturers. Thanks for the review and the heads up to be careful with the connectors. Like you said once you have them together they look great and I plan on putting these into my case soon. Quite frankly I like the look of these better than the Lian Li fans because the infinity mirror on the side is larger and goes right to the connect edge of the next unit.
I have the Icoler both S and R i was the 1st person to review them and show how they work if you want control of all your rgbs + motherboard, keyboard, mouse, Ram, AIO, GPU, use SingalRGB I use the IColer fans in both my builds love them fans

I had lianli fans and one of the fans died in 4 months lianli send me a replacement but after some time the led strip started to burn out so i switched to cheap aliexpress fans that i've got 6 of them for 30 $ prism pro 4 and they are amazing
As tempting as they are, I think I would still stay with the Lian Li for the better quality. I really do not enjoy the thought of undoing my cable management and redoing it to replace defective fans when they break down which would likely happen much sooner that with the Lian Li fans. I'll take the quality and quietness of the Lain Li. I'm sure Lian Li fans fail too but I'll hedge my bet with them.
yeah, could be that they come from aliexpress which is overseas so hard (maybe?) to go after. Seems like they found a cheap way to reproduce the lian li
How do you make the lighting on the fans smoother? Does it matter what fan you have or is it the mother board that determines what lighting patter to have
I was actually thinking about perhaps getting some of these sets, from like AliExpres, but i wasn't too sure if they'd be any good, they look fine, but if the bearings for instance are shit, i noticed something about the fan controlling not being good because it wasn't stable so you basically only control the first fo three and the rest just always go etc. But, over here it's a pain to get the Lain Li fans, mostly for the infinity ones with the fan hub also being infinity, and then reverse blade, really hard to get, 140mm reverse blade, almost impossible, and i want to do a complete 140mm build, except for the one 120mm at the rear I/O. Wait, molex ? Really ? What year is this ?
I want to buy this but I dont wanna spend 40 dollars on a controller for fans that cost 10 each. What would be the downsides of not using a controller and what app would I use to control it?
i bought 2 sets of these and they work great. The reason I went with the unifans instead of lianli is because when I purchased the Galahad II 360 LCD the lianli fans are not compatible with the controller it comes with which is really dumb. These unifans worked great with the controller using the adapters for the RGB connection provided and they work great using the L-connect 3 software.
According to prawn in another video, the reverse and standard uni infinities re compatible with the controller that the galahad 2 lcd comes with SO LONG AS you bought the variant with the uni infinities already pre installed. Am i incorrect on this?

i am running 9 similar fans to yours and for the price i think they are great ( i can zero rpm them ) 6 case running at 580 -600 rpm and 3 on aio running at 650 ish allowed to change with cpu temp set fan curve in bios then also in MSI Center. 👍👍
I am planning to do the same. How is your feedback for those fans after 5 months (your comment date)? Are they still good? Any issues, especially with the AIO?
Looks at this whilst sporting 11x Lian Li Fans (cries a little). I'm curious if they'd work via L-connect3, since they are connected to the mobo? Can't see why not to be honest..
@@TheProvokedPrawn thank you. if i were to get an ARGB Fan Hub with 5V 3Pin & 12V 4Pin inputs, i could technically connect these fans right? and just connect the outputs from the Fan Hub to the 12v cpu fan & 5v 3pin on my motherboard. would that work?
I'm on the market looking for quiet good looking rgb fans. Do they even exist? I don't really wanna drop $160 on 5 lian li sl infinity fans, but noise is a priority for me. Looks is no. 2. So far I've tried thermalright clc-12-s fans which were dirty cheap ($15 for 3) and arctic p12 (which started out quiet but have gotten louder as of recent). The arctic ones are non rgb and look super depressing so I want to replace them with rgb versions. I saw reviews on amazon of the a-rgb version of the arctic p12 as less than ideal when it comes to colors and looks. What do you reccommend?
There are yes. Just search for the brand name. Though I believe they're more repeaters than controllers (i.e. you'd still be using the motherboard software for RGB and speed control)
Hi. Have you actually checked the advertised speed and real one. As i got some Jonsbo FR701 Normal flow and Reverse a long time ago, and advertised speed was 1500+-10%. Well shockingly Reverse hardly get to 1200rpm and Normal flow go slightly above 1500rpm
TBF no, I haven't tested the RPM on individual fans. I probably should have and still can when I get a mo. But they're advertised as 900rpm. I think that's about right from what I've seen in the bios but need to double check
I haven't had time to do that unfortunately. For the sake of fairness I'd have to rebuild the same case with the Lian Li fans and that would be a mission.
If the fans are physically connected together then all of them will have the same lighting, but if they are not physically connected and are connected to a seperate port on the chroma hub then you can control it seperatelu
honestly if people are running an i5 or r5 especially non X-K and a cool gpu you don't need the best fans in the world... just get some airflow going on with any 4-5 fans and you will be good. Yes i have the lian li fans but that only added to the look of my build even my 3080 didn't get any cooler than with my old ugly cheap fans. same goes for the cpu cooler just with the low tdp cpu's. just don't cheap out on an aio idk but i don't want to cheap out on something that could leak and ruin everything for me.
Those fake ones seem too white-ish, I mean the LEDs are way too bright ruining the balance of colors :/ That definitely would annoy me but it's nice to know there's some competition for Lian Li and Phanteks.
@@AngelBlood97 The issue is it washes out colors. Fans are not as colorful as supposed to be. I had that issue when I bought AiO cooler from SilentiumPC and their fans had exactly that problem. It stand out of whole setup when everything had great colors except those fans from AiO.
I have these reversed, and they get louder like 58 db, part from that they are OK. Im not paying Lian Li no matter how good they are. Best invest in cpu gpu and oled monitor.
fans nowdays are way too expensive. I have some Lian li fans. Their quality has actually been shockingly bad and for the price I paid it wasn't worth it.
@@VaracolacidVesci I sent all 9 back twice as they were bought in 3 packs. They were awesome for a while but most of them have developed a noise. Even after the 1st rma 3 fans started to whine after about 6 months. Second rma they claimed there was no noise, Put them into my machine and they immediately started to make noise again. I've moved them around to different positions but the problem fans are getting worse over time. The warranty is over and I will probably replace them with much cheaper fans that I can easily throw away and replace when needed. These fans are way too expensive for something that barely lasts a year.
@@OmnathD3 i would check the header or fan hub you are using, it may be damaged and delivering inconsistent voltage/amperage to them and damaging them. It is not normal having 18 fans failing on you when the rest of the world is saying they are pretty good.
The companies that make the KOs make the originals. Not all KOs have the same amount of features, quality lacks sometimes and the producers do not always understand what they are making but overall, I have always been happy with all my thermalright AIOs and thermal assassins. It is a fan, not a f**king status symbol. Does it cool? Is it reliable? Are the bearings hit? If those check out, it is fine and I didnt pay £400 for some crap that says LL or whatever brand only the kids and low self esteem types care about.
Problem is they are loud Not worth spending money on this fans Instead u can get Arctic p12 argh fans for a similar price And the article are very silent but still performant
There's a lot more quality in Lian Li fans, the controller gives you more control over fan sped, RGB effects and the wiring is simpler. But they sure are more expensive.
@TheProvokedPrawn I've had the Lian li infinity fans. They were pretty nice. I just think the corsair system is a little better and icue gives you many more options. I've never tried knock brands for anything in my pc. Not being able to fully control a component would bother me. Great content either way Prawn!
No PC fan is worth what Lian Li charges for there fans. It blows my mind that people literally spend several hundred dollars on theses fans. I Just ordered 6 x 140mm & 1-120mm knock off Uni-fans from Aliexpress. Total cost with shipping $60 bucks. As long as people keep paying these jacked up prices for PC components these scummy companies will keep charging us these outrageous prices.
Sure, I guess we could stop buying innovative fans that work pretty well because they're more expensive than cheap knockoffs, then we can enjoy the same fans forever because the knockoffs don't innovate. Meanwhile how much manufacturing did we lose to who?
@@nimrodery Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't most if not all of these fans get produced over seas? So weather you buy the "NAME BRAND" or the "KNOCK OFF" they all come from factories in china japan or Taiwan.
@@ejosephsimon These come from the "same place" and there's a real pronounced difference in quality and ease of use, plus Lian Li spent money on R + D (which they'd like you to pay for). My entire PC is set-up is with genuine Lian Li SL Infinity fans and I wouldn't trade them for any of these knock-off brands. I don't encourage companies copying from other companies who have spent time and money on research and development to come up with their fine products. The original product is of better quality and should outlive the cheap copies. I must admit they look good but beauty is only skin deep...

Lian li and other companies like corsair waaaaaaaaaaaay overcharge for their crap because of their name. I will always recommend knock offs before name brands for case fans. Lian lis are just not worth it
@TheProvokedPrawn why try them when I can pick up something that's built with the same designs and ease of use for half the price. As long as the reviews are good on a product and it's what your looking for I don't see anything wrong with saying a few bucks on case fans

@@oldmangaming5051 hows the lighting? are they very similar?
i am running 9 similar fans to yours and for the price i think they are great ( i can zero rpm them ) 6 case running at 580 -600 rpm and 3 on aio running at 650 ish allowed to change with cpu temp set fan curve in bios then also in MSI Center. 👍👍
I am planning to do the same. How is your feedback for those fans after 5 months (your comment date)? Are they still good? Any issues, especially with the AIO?
@@ihabentabli Hi all still going well not had a single problem
@@welshinu thanx :)
which model you got? all the ones ive seen are around 700rpm min
@loldocks0 interstellar v2
Looks at this whilst sporting 11x Lian Li Fans (cries a little). I'm curious if they'd work via L-connect3, since they are connected to the mobo? Can't see why not to be honest..
my question is.. can you turn off the center light and leave only the side light open ? or the side light is actualy lighted by the center light ?
They're not that clever
Try Teucer JM1 Fans, They are very similar Too!
Out of curiosity, could you control the real Lian Li Infinity fans with Razer Chroma if you used that box instead of the Lian Li controller?
Surprised Lian Li didn't sue this knock off
Also razer chroma software is utter garbage, lol
are the fans lighting compatible with a lain li rgb controller and the app?
No
@@TheProvokedPrawn do they have their own software
could i connect these to my Corsair iCUE Commander Core XT? and control them through ICUE software? trying to get rid of my corsair fans...
No
@@TheProvokedPrawn thank you. if i were to get an ARGB Fan Hub with 5V 3Pin & 12V 4Pin inputs, i could technically connect these fans right? and just connect the outputs from the Fan Hub to the 12v cpu fan & 5v 3pin on my motherboard. would that work?
Would you recommend the infinity or the interstellar fans?
For 3 for the price of 1 lian li fans is kind of worth it. Most of these are lower in rpm and poorer quality but they are not that bad.
Basically
Hi from Germany. I bought both of them but i cant control them with the razor software. How can i add them in the software?😊
And you know where Liam Li product is produced? Have you been to the factory?
It's in Taiwan I believe 🤷🏼♂️
are there any fan controllers for these fake fans? I also think there is a fake Lian li watercooler to
There are yes. Just search for the brand name. Though I believe they're more repeaters than controllers (i.e. you'd still be using the motherboard software for RGB and speed control)
@@TheProvokedPrawn ok so what software are u running for controll the rgb?
@Adezzamusic you can use your motherboard software or something like SignalRGB
Do they have to sit together or can you get 2+1?
You can't find 3 pack of lian li reverse fans in the US
They don't really do triple packs of reverse fans, which is daft. But NewEgg is the main retailer in the US. It's the the official partner
Did you compare the temp for both brand
I haven't had time to do that unfortunately. For the sake of fairness I'd have to rebuild the same case with the Lian Li fans and that would be a mission.
I think lian li has a better temperature.
When using the razer chroma with signal rgb csn you control each fan separately with rgb or are they just mirrored
If the fans are physically connected together then all of them will have the same lighting, but if they are not physically connected and are connected to a seperate port on the chroma hub then you can control it seperatelu
@@LvlUpNickis that true for only the fake ones? i saw vids on yt with signalrgb where the lian li looked like being controlled individually
@@Uchiha_Sasuke209 I'm not 100%, at this point in time I only have the fake ones
@@LvlUpNick ah ok thx
@@Uchiha_Sasuke209 I've got mine daisy chained for the different fan sets
What if you dont have a 3 pin 5v connector on mobo? Is there another option with 4 pin rgb 12v?
Sadly no
Because 12v will burn any 5v or at least cause a problem
honestly if people are running an i5 or r5 especially non X-K and a cool gpu you don't need the best fans in the world... just get some airflow going on with any 4-5 fans and you will be good. Yes i have the lian li fans but that only added to the look of my build even my 3080 didn't get any cooler than with my old ugly cheap fans. same goes for the cpu cooler just with the low tdp cpu's. just don't cheap out on an aio idk but i don't want to cheap out on something that could leak and ruin everything for me.
how do you connect then fan to razer? cant find them in the razer software.
Assuming you've connected the chroma controller correctly you should see the appear as LED strips.
@@TheProvokedPrawn i connected everything to the mainboard is it still possible (gigabyte)?
i dont a razer product
is it possible to control the fans in the lian li rgb software?
No. You'd need to use your motherboard software or something like SignalRGB
Can you control them with aura sync
can you use a 3-pack separately, 1 rear, 2 top ?
Sure
Which program are you using for the rgb?
Motherboard software or something like SignalRGB
Those fake ones seem too white-ish, I mean the LEDs are way too bright ruining the balance of colors :/ That definitely would annoy me but it's nice to know there's some competition for Lian Li and Phanteks.
isn't it actually a good thing that the leds are brighter? since you can set the brightness from the rgb in your respective program?
@@AngelBlood97 The issue is it washes out colors. Fans are not as colorful as supposed to be. I had that issue when I bought AiO cooler from SilentiumPC and their fans had exactly that problem. It stand out of whole setup when everything had great colors except those fans from AiO.
In india it's triple fans cost 130 dollars😮💨
Already got them.. so far so good at least for me . Planning to buy more. Everything is made in china anyway, why pay more ..lol
does anyone know if these fans work with the Thermalright Fan and ARGB HUB I need help asap!!
th-cam.com/video/aXB_4fvcPG8/w-d-xo.html
Is it compatible with the lian li galahad II trinity hub?
No
can they do white rgb?
I have these reversed, and they get louder like 58 db, part from that they are OK. Im not paying Lian Li no matter how good they are. Best invest in cpu gpu and oled monitor.
fans nowdays are way too expensive. I have some Lian li fans. Their quality has actually been shockingly bad and for the price I paid it wasn't worth it.
You should rma them. I have 9 lianli unifans 120 and they all are awesome. Super quiet and move a very decent amount of air even at low rpms

Thermalright is not a knock off brand. and if you hold a lian li and this crap, Unless you are brain dead you'll realize how different they are
Problem is they are loud
Not worth spending money on this fans
Instead u can get Arctic p12 argh fans for a similar price
And the article are very silent but still performant
Exactly, this are crap. No worth wasting money
Just goes to show how much of a markup lian li puts on their fans, lol
Personally, i find the Corsair QX fans to be much better all around.
@@fallenlegion1828 sorry I meant more to Lian Li than the knock offs. The iCue Link fans are great
Icue = < virus.
Worst eco-system around.
Nobody cares if they are knockoffs unless you do.
Me or you?
Lian Li is literally suing these companies
Rightly so
No PC fan is worth what Lian Li charges for there fans.
What motherboard, cpu and gpu are you running?
Sure, I guess we could stop buying innovative fans that work pretty well because they're more expensive than cheap knockoffs, then we can enjoy the same fans forever because the knockoffs don't innovate. Meanwhile how much manufacturing did we lose to who?
Corsair charges more for their QX
@@nimrodery Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't most if not all of these fans get produced over seas? So weather you buy the "NAME BRAND" or the "KNOCK OFF" they all come from factories in china japan or Taiwan.
@@ejosephsimon These come from the "same place" and there's a real pronounced difference in quality and ease of use, plus Lian Li spent money on R + D (which they'd like you to pay for). This company didn't spend money on R + D, so you're just paying less for a product that isn't as good, and you're helping a Chinese company steal. Yay?
My entire PC is set-up is with genuine Lian Li SL Infinity fans and I wouldn't trade them for any of these knock-off brands. I don't encourage companies copying from other companies who have spent time and money on research and development to come up with their fine products. The original product is of better quality and should outlive the cheap copies. I must admit they look good but beauty is only skin deep...
"i have purchased the lian li infinity mirrors before i saw these....i mean i wouldn't EVER want to trade for the cheap ones" like why would you state that you purchased the lian li unifans first and then wouldnt switch to the cheap ones? doesn't make any sense. the potential customer is the one that >>doesn't

Absolutely
Lian li and other companies like corsair waaaaaaaaaaaay overcharge for their crap because of their name. I will always recommend knock offs before name brands for case fans. Lian lis are just not worth it
Have you tried them?
@TheProvokedPrawn why try them when I can pick up something that's built with the same designs and ease of use for half the price. As long as the reviews are good on a product and it's what your looking for I don't see anything wrong with saying a few bucks on case fans
not same brand just same model 9$ total for 3 fans.

They seem very cheaply made. I doubt i would waste money on this kind of crap. Better get a decent non rgb non daisy chain-able fan than this.
