I have used same Noctua fans for 10 years. Never had a single issue. My pc is on 24/7. I only turn it off for few seconds if I have to update Windows. It's amazing that they are still running perfectly. Not a single one has broke down. If there was one product I've been happy with in past 10 years, that just has worked perfectly and over my expectations. It's Noctua. All the other companies has failed me from keyboards to monitors, and everything in between.
Hi syndik8, We saw your video and would like to apologize for the frustrations from the whole experience. We take this matter seriously, and our aim is to learn and get better. Here are a few things we’d like to address: As you pointed out, we will need to look into simplifying the Contact Form for repeat visitors or software updates without needing the information required for physical product replacements. Regarding the TL LCD (non-wireless) fans, that appears to be usb connection and motherboard usb 2.0 quantity limit (one LCD = one usb) problem. Please share your ticket number. We want to provide direct feedback and will also share these insights with other users. In regards to the AIO LCD flickering issue and TL LCD bearing noise, which are hardware issues, we can send a replace the parts/item right away if you’d like. We will also work on our QC to make sure similar things don't happen to others. Our replacement policy guarantees replacements within two weeks, and we will examine why it has taken nearly three months in this instance. Thanks again, LIAN LI team
Thanks guys! Speaks volumes that you took the time to reply on here. Everything's been replaced by you / Overclockers already, and i've already moved my build to a new system, but appreciate the gesture. Our little PC building sub culture is definitely better with you in it ❤

Lian Li, he's right. There is no reason that when you click "Update" "Check for latest version" that it does nothing. I had to go to your website to find out that there was an update, as your software couldn't recognize it. Needing to put in purchase date, serial number, etc. for a basic inquiry is ridiculous and turns customers away. Love your innovation, but you need to fix the basics first IMO.
@@syndik8mediai would still recommend to share them your ticket number so they can trace whose agent handled your ticket to get them fir-i mean "coached" and be given feedback under duress. They will never be able to correct their issue unless management micromanages their agents.
Old man here (pushing 70). I've built two PCs for myself. First was black as a politician's heart, in a Fractal Design Define S. No windows. No lights. No problems. Last month, after nine years, I built my second PC. Phanteks NV5 (the shape spoke to me), in black, with vertical GPU and Phanteks D30-120 fans all around. Added some great stupid with Kento Nanami and Yuji Itadori (Jujutsu Kaisen) noodle stopper figurines sitting on the GPU and an 8.8 inch sensor panel, with all the extra LED lights for the case, and RGB RAM. Had to admit that everything works amazingly well, and that I was very lucky. The case sits near a corner, but with all the lights off. A fun experiment in a cool case, but when I'm at the computer, I'm looking up information, watching videos and gaming (poorly). I look at the screen and not the case. Who would have thought?
Gotta say, the TH-cam algorithm seems to keep suggesting smaller channels to me these days, and like several others, I'm shocked you don't have more subscribers. Count me in, you've got my sub! It's gonna be fun to look back and say I was there before the sub count was over three digits. ;) Keep it up, you've got something good going here.
Maybe I am getting old, but I really prefer PC cases which adds to the room and not take all the attention. No wonder that the Fractal North and similar cases are so popular these days.
Subscribed. Perfect video about the same problems I have had as many others have also suffered from. Your addition of some good humor helps ease the pain.
Same boat here, no fanboyism of any sort with any brand but Lian Li gave me a few headaches, not only with their fans. Given the price I paid, it was really an issue and deception for me because of the stellar reviews. Now I stick with no LCD screens and no RGB at all, and I am not impressed anymore. No more fancy stuff for me. This leaves a lot more time because no more troubleshooting.
I've been doing blacked out stealth builds for my clients and people love them. Quiet and dark is going to make people happy every time. $400 on fans is insane, that's a jump from a 4070 to 4080 lol
RGB looks cool, but if price to performance is a concern when building a PC then it's best to avoid fancy flashing lights in favor of more efficient parts at more economical prices.
My man! Thank you for bringing attention to these issues! For my current build, I went with an all Lian-Li ecosystem for the fans and AIO for “simplicity” (LOL!) and it’s easily one of my biggest PC regrets of all time. I’d say 25% of the time I turn on my PC, L-connect doesn’t load my saved settings and the only way to get it to work is by manually restarting the service. But the worst part is that now the LCD on my AIO has started flickering and I can’t get it to work after trying every single troubleshooting step suggested on their site. The only thing left to try is replacing the LCD itself, and there’s no fucking way I’m doing that. If I’m gonna do that I might as well build a new PC 😂. Never again buying any Lian Li products besides their cases.
Apparently the wireless versions are a lot better. I would recommend you to try the newest function of lconnect where you can delay the service startup by X seconds. The issue is that sometimes it starts when the dependencies from windows havent yet loaded. Try delaying it by 5-10 seconds.
Yeah, been running into some similar, though nowhere near as severe, issues. But I have to say.... you built one absolutely GORGEOUS rig right there. Also what a recommendation from TH-cam. The production quality is as pretty as that damn PC. Liked, commented and definitely subbed.
You might be my new favorite subscription Syndik8. I thought I was alone or one of the unlucky Lian Li buyers when it came to the Lian Li UNI Fan SL - LCD (all variants). Thank you for the voice and video. Take care Syndik8...
Earned my sub I wish more channels would talk about these issues it reminds me of when I had issues with Gskill RGB ram the SPID would get corrupted causing system instability and other issues with other RGB software the more we add the more complex the issues become we just need simple and reliable parts so I'm going RGB free on my next build and its better this way we don't need to give windows any more issues than it already has.
I feel your pain my friend. While I am yet to experience these issues with my own build next month, your overall frustration is something that resonates with me deeply in many everyday situations. Things that should just be simple but rarely ever are.
I experienced this too but signal rgb seems like it came from heaven the way it makes EVERYTHING just simply WORK. It's actually insane how good of a software it is.
How did you solve the issue of delay in signal rgb with Lian li fans? My SL-Inf V2 fans have some kind of delay on the lighting, research says it’s a known issue and the only fix is to wait for a firmware update someday that might fix it or switch out to a different fan controller and lose some of the precision in the individual lights. I spent so much money and I’m so frustrated with Lian Li
I liked signal RGB but openrgb is simply just better imo. It takes more effort and more things have to be manually setup but it takes less CPU and resources in the background, and has no paid anything whatsoever in the app, no monthly subscriptions or anything like signal optionally has.
@@floorpizza8074 - Just imagine if the control software for literal case fans was open source, so people could literally just fix it themselves. We'd have community made software that's completely free (no Signal monthly subscription required), and it would broadly "just work." This is an example where NOT going open source, means having an objectively inferior product.
So entertaining to watch. How do you not have more subscribers, as this is a perfect video that explains what I am sure most RGB builders experience. Ordered the same AIO and had the same problem. BTW case turned out beautiful. I look forward to your next vid.
And that is why I always went with a zero rgb fans (Noctua) and control the curve via Argus Monitor. Sorry you had to go through that man. Great content and appreciate the transparency. Subscribed!
Well, there are also RGB fans which do not require their own software such as L-Connect. I've been using Arctic P12 RGB fans on my case for couple of years now with no issues. I just set their color to static with Signal RGB and done. I would always recommend to anyone who wants lighting in their case to go with fans that do not need any of the manufacturers own software and instead can be controlled with open source software. I'm not saying this to change your mind about whether you like RGB or not. Just pointing out that there are hassle free options out there.
The best 12 min 23 seconds I spent today. You had me hooked from the start, the tongue and cheek dig at Lian-Li has me in fits of laughter and you deserve way more subs than you have. Keep up the good work, hope the new build goes better than the last. Been in that boat myself, chasing after those "gremlins" and wanting to rip out ones hair / lose one's sanity in the process. Won't name the company, but I wont touch them now with a ten foot barge pole, but they have been in the tech new last year for all the wrong reasons ;)
I'm glad you made this video I feel like every other video I have seen on these fans has been a sponsored video and hasn't gone into the issues of their products or even spoken about more than the looks of the fans
Excellent video, you have another sub. I personally have the Lian Li SL Infinity LCD AIO and their LED cables with no issues so far. Hoping it stays that way
8:30 When I built my PC last year in February with 10 120mm TL LCD fans I had this exact same problem constantly hearing the disconnect and reconnect sounds. It would also stop all my controllers, keyboards, mouse and other plug-ins just to spam re-enable the TL Fans. I didn't even know what it was until I finally decided to investigate and found out it was because my TL Fans are overloading one USB 2.0 header. What I did to fix this was I bought another fan controller and put 6 fans on one controller and 4 fans on the other controller. Then I only kept the fans plugged into slots 3 & 4 on the controller and left slot 1 & 2 empty. The controllers now took up two USB 2.0 headers on the motherboard, and I had to use a converter to make my 3.2 header into a 2.0 for my LL strimers but this was the only way I could resolve this constant disconnecting problem. I also had the failing bearing sound in one of the fans at the bottom, but to fix this I grabbed the fan blades at the base, and just pulled up on the fan really hard and it no longer makes the sound. Don't feel like going through RMA for a fan and this worked.
@@datograt well, I'm very far from rich xD. But I'm a minimalist so I just saved up to build a dream rig. Love the TL fans, probably not worth the amount I spent to get them though. Thankfully they were discounted a bit at the time I bought them
The one time I had an issue with the software, I reported it to Corsair. They identified it. They promised a solution. They literally named the update number that would solve the problem and then followed through.
Damn nice video mate. Thank you for bringing this to light. I was thinking of a Lian Li build, but the consistent issues I see on the Lian Li subreddit convinced me otherwise. When I spend such premium money, I expect a peace of mind. So i will go for an alternative, aesthetics be damned.
Thanks for making this video. I'm glad people call out Lian-Li's QC issues. I made my build back in February 2024 using all Lian-Li parts and so far I have had to RMA 2 SL-120 fans, 1 Galahad LCD AIO Fan and now my screen is having the flicker issue. I'm in week 3 of their RMA process without a replacement screen delivered yet. The amount of QC problems I've had have definitely soured my opinion of them greatly and I don't think I'll return to their hardware for future builds. The case is awesome though.
I can understand your pain, for me it's Corsair. Sometimes it would be nice to have the "console experience" of not worrying about all these updates and issues that come along with owning a pc.
I can totally relate to this story. I had to request a part from Lian-Li. I filled out the form for a warranty claim, I got a response in less than 2 minutes. This blew my mind! Long story short; 2 more forms filled out, a dozen e-mails, 2 reps and 3 months later... I finally got my cable.
Almost 30 years of PC building, and I never do RGB builds, I prefer cases without windows as well... Use Arctic fans in the 5 packs, and always have a pack for spare to swap out. Cheap, and simple. The primary reason that I refuse to do RGB is the software, combined with increased costs. I almost exclusively build in mATX, except for some benching builds (which I only do old hardware for now). With that said, on a very high end build, with top shelf prices for the parts... you just expect that it should just work, and if it doesnt then you expect the replacement process to be fast and easy. BTW, the ashtray on a motorcycle comment was spot on!
Genuinely made me laugh (especially the bit about falling from the bad luck tree hitting every branch nuts first😂😂. A refreshing honest review that isnt trying to get me click links. subbed.
a very well constructed and organized video! I built my partner's rig out with infinity unifans and the non-screen 360 AIO specifically after having the same problematic, cheaply manufactured and constantly breaking experience with corsair, only to quickly become disappointed with l-connect and its "native integration" with signalRGB (it's broken literally all the time 😂). I finally moved on and reset my rig with a fractal design north xl case and all black components, threw a $20 ARGB light bar in the top for a simple spotlight effect and literally couldn't been happier. open source software like Fan Control and OpenRGB make everything a breeze. only reason to ever pay a premium for fans is for performance and reliability, and none of the top RGB players can seem to get a grasp on that 💔
I agree with you, I replaced the Lian Li L-Connect immediately with a Nollie 32 after I found out laggy everything was. I can't speak on the 'wireless' fans, but I can imagine they are even more finnicky. For my builds I just check if everything is compatible with SignalRGB and then run everything from there. No Razer/Asus/Whatever software. Just SignalRGB (and Fancontrol for unsupported fans). Good luck on the down-sizing!
Same here. Except I’ve had SL infinites for over a year. Maybe he got unlucky with QC or it has gone down a bit since I last bought from them. Zero issues at all for me personally.
I am building a new pc as we speak. I have spent SO much time trying to find good fans and a good AIO. I LOVE the hydroshift and the SL, TL, and the SL Infinity fans.... But now I don't think ill get any of them. Thank you for your video, I really appreciate saving me the hassle and time that you experienced. 🤙
i have 6 SL infinity fans in my system for a year now and no issues, but they are regular fans without lcd, and im just leaving them on all white lighting in a black rig so maybe less complications. planing to change my case, aio and fans soon, but have no idea yet what exactly to buy…having nice looks, good performance and staying in 1 company eco system is getting very complicated.
@ i was looking at that one and asus ryujin III 360 extreme, both work well in benchmarks i saw online, but using them with factory fans would look a bit out of place, and if i switch to lets say lian li fans i don’t know how much worse the cooling would be. the case i’m interested in is o11 dynamic evo rgb so it would be hard to “hide” anything. and 1 more software to worry about with tryx on top of that…
This is exactly why I just use bequiet light wings. They are nice, quiet, and have cool RGB compatibility. I’ve never had to replace a single fan for the past 2 years.
I truly hope the algorithm continues to push this video and it inspires you to make more content. This was genuinely excellent, and I think based on other comments it's safe to say we want more.
It's funny because I ran into this video searching for a reason to return these expensive lian li fans I haven't yet installed. I just purchased a o11 vision compact for an all white build i plan to do when i get an all white 5090. I have bad experiences with icue and promised myself to stay away from ultra proprietary rgb stuff. I'm going to stick to my guns; subbed.
Quirky lines, deep honesty and just, down to earth type of a guy, it's not common these days on youtube - I genuine thought it was a good rant, towards Lian-Li, but showing them humility and telling in a civilized manner, you earned sub from me. Great content so far, keep it up.
I only have Strimer cables from Lian Li, but I have it connected to a Nollie 32, and use OpenRGB and FanControl to manage my lights and fans. Thanks for sharing your experience!
Haha you are Awsome! I have a Lian Li TL 10 Fan build in the future, got all the parts just need to find the time to start. Thx for preparing me for what might come...
Just finished building with Phanteks D30 fans (in the NV9, also great, also Phanteks). Gorgeous, Quiet, Efficient, no special software needed and high build quality.
I've been using Corsair iCUE for about five/six years now, I've actually never had any huge software issue and only one hardware issue that Corsair solved for me. I had a pump go bad (that was out of warranty) on their H150i Elite Capellix AIO. I only spent two days going back and forth with them via email before they asked for my shipping info. They sent me a brand new one for nothing with a return label to send the old pump/RAD back. Told me to keep the fans and everything else. I've since then moved on to their LINK line, QX to RX and now to their LX fans. No issues at all.
Thank you for speaking on this I was going crazy installing the tl lcd fans. I bought 6 fans. The amount of time I had to change the orientation, reinstall the software/update it was ridiculous. I have 3 just sitting lol.
I have everything ready on my PC part picker when the 50 series comes out. I am so glad I'm not buying these piece of crap what headaches you went through. it's crazy enough that TH-cam recommended me this video to save me money that's crazy. Thank you so much for warning us.
My hell of a nightmare of experience! No, I'm having these problems too, my CPU screen is flickering, the wrong CPU Temps are displayed, I got noises from the pump and I had to deal with software issues. Credit to Luan Li. They have upgraded their software which seems to be a lot better, I just don't know where to go to solve the noises my pump is making, it's not loud but when it ramps up you can notice it and hear it, My pump is past warranty, so there's that. When I first bought my fans I wanted the SL Infinity fan but bought the wrong color of the fans, and bought the wrong fans They weren't the infinities but older fans. This was all on top of dealing with the i9 14900k issues, went through two of them before intel said anything. Had me questioning my own computer set of skills that I have acquired and was very proud of, I am an IT tech damnit, I know what I'm doing. Had me going down a rabbit hole with memory issues when it's really was a gopher hole, replaced every single part in my new build, resent it back to find out that it was the CPU, which was the only part I kept and didn't return until I realized. But we all know the i9 1400k was a slow burn so warranty date had already passed before degration showed up, yeah fun times. Anyway I digress, I contacted them and they basically told me to kick rocks and pound sand until I realized just send it back to Amazon, had to spend a whole entire week packaging and resending which delayed my build by three weeks. So no my friend is not just you. But I guess to have the best you gotta go through hell and realize with trauma in your life that life brings you, that it would be more boring if you didn't have drama, and that life loves you very much....😊....🤣 Without this I wouldn't have went to hell to come out as Spawn.... 😂😂😂 Not going to lie the software though for the RGB lighting with Lian Li is top-notch, I mean you get tons of customization options unbelievably a crazy amount compared to Asus and other brands. Something to note, I don't like the fact that you have to either choose the connection to the motherboard in order to have your motherboard take control or connection to the pump itself you can't have both at least from my understanding? But if somebody could inform if I have misunderstood that would be great.
Good job! I am having issues with lian li their support is utter crap(1 month response time is going against my consumer protection rights), and I hope this video can reach Gamers Nexus so this whole situation can be put on blast as no company should treat consumers this badly without having serious repercussions. Quality prices require Quality products and it seems lian li has no intention of changing.
I bought Lian li fans when the software was version one. Still run that software version and have to manually set my fans every time I start gaming because the newer software I tried a couple years ago was worse. I HATE their software so much and it’s not worth the hassle. I’d rather just buy Corsair and have worse looking fans with wires but be able to figure out got to use them easily! Great video dude, the views sp ask for themselves.😊
Subbed! Lian Li is such a disaster bro your video is spot on ❤ I have 2 Galahad 2 AIOs, one failed exactly like yours it was a strobe light. Additionally, the Software (there are many threads about this) cause massive stuttering in games as the L-Connect software requests hundreds and thousands of identical processes which spikes RAM usage. This is especially prevalent in AIO users. I’ll never buy their products again unfortunately. To salvage the fans I dumped hundreds in I bought the single pack connector and plugged directly to an RGB hub bypassing their controllers which at least got me away from LConnect
Man, I remember looking at the original SL fans and thinking about how much of a deal they were. The Corsair maglev fans were far more expensive and difficult to set up. Of course, LianLi is kind of top dog when it comes to mainstream fans, especially with rgb. They can charge what they want for what they have. I still can’t believe how ridiculous those hub screens are. Great on paper. Completely impractical in practice. I’ve had a bearing go out like you did on one of my AL120s. I was fortunate enough to be in a position where I had extra fans. Luckily, I had extra fans since I wasn’t using a set of three after downsizing my tower, so I just swapped it out for a working one. Numerous fans are also having hub light flickering issues.
I've wasted so many hours troubleshooting friends stupid ass Lian li problems. RGB has been the single biggest headache in PC building for almost a decade with little to no improvement. Avoid any PC parts that require proprietary software/cables to use. Pro tip for new builders: Take the $400 you have budgeted for stupid ass RGB and put it towards better CPU/GPU
Oh my the shenanigans I had with my Galahad AIO. Fans stopped working one at a time, the pump stopped working after 6 months. Replacements stopped working and they just gave me the newer gen one. Fingers crossed nothing happens to that because dear God the amount times I have had to put together that PC.
dude.. I feel your angst and frustration... I just built my new system, based around corsair's iQue link fans and software .. I had a surprisingly easy time of it.. it just worked first time.. and I can even reboot the system, without it suffering an existential crisis... I must have been one of the lucky ones... subscriber number 470 reporting for duty :).
To your comment at about 11:00 ish about the software being better with the SL-INF's I can confirm I've had no such issues with L-Connect etc, so it seems like they are, anecdotal at best, but there you go.
Lol you started off loud then somehow became kinda whisper voice. Something definitely about your mic for sure though. Maybe allow more background noise. A more rock n roll type background music and not a nice piano sound like I'm at a fancy hotel lol. Your content is amazing though. I'm not a gamer, you would be surprised if you see me and see that I'm a pc builder lol. The ICUE software is what I stick with. Nzxt cam is solid to for me. Signal rgb is malware lol. Armoury crate for my ROG products is another nightmare. I'm a motorcycle rider and ride a gsxr 750 and I loved the motorcycle with an ashtray quote lol. Support from Toronto!
I'm currently using 2 sets of 120 mm Infinity fans in my case. I also used the O11 Air Mini before. My experience is somewhat same as yours, just a bit less problematic. Lian Li cases are incredible, but the fans leave a LOT to be desired. They look nice but get very loud. The best part about them is the ease of daisy chaining and controlling everything. That being said, my next build will definitely have less RGB and more air cooling, with Noctua or Bequiet providing all the fans.

This guy is hysterical. I literally laughed out loud at several moments! I'm a fan as well, but have also had several of the same issues. I always check for updates on L-Connect when I boot up the computer by clicking the "Check for updates" button. Was shocked to find out by browsing their website that there is a whole new version but clicking the "check for updates" doesn't do anything as noted. Thought it was just me...Also, you are correct. Having to put in the date of purchase, serial number, blood type, etc. just to ask a simple question of them is bizarre. You're right, I love how they are trying to be innovative, but they need to clean up the basics first. I have the TL Wireless exhaust in my Evo XL case, but why didn't they release the 140 reverse fans at the same time? Their cases are designed to accommodate 140s...bizarre. On the bright side, love the Noctua fans I'm using as the 140s. They're super quiet and move a lot of air...GREAT video, and thanks for the laughs. Subscribed!
Awesome video. Really high quality and quite funny. I have the OG lian li uni fans and the RGB just stopped like 2 years ago. Have had them off ever since. Probably wont do lian li again
I have no issues with my SL-INF fans from Lian Li but I've heard of so many problems with the Gallahad AIO and it doesn't surprise me that adding LCD screens to fans is causing issues. I think there's a certain point where things get way too complicated for their own good. Simple RGB for some fans should be simple to do but integrating screens and extra sensors starts to be too much for its own good.
I'm pretty sure it is related to the LCD. I've built a few PCs with Liam li RGB fans for friends and they have been fine. Personally I have a TL 140mm non LCD as an exhaust fan and it also has been working perfectly for 6 months.
Man o man. Thanks Thanks a much. I haven't finished the video yet but I was building a all LianLi build for my next one. Heard Heard Heard. I think I'll just go with Thermaltake all fan build. Hopefully no problems!!
As I sit here watching this, next to me sits as of yet unpowered on system, I just put together. Much like yours. I don't have any "extra" hair to lose. I'm secretly hoping you just hit every "un-lucky" branch. Great vid.
I concur and no need to apologize for first hand experience. I have RGB via Corsairs execrable iCue Application and it’s spotty at best. The keyboard in particular just decides to do its own thing from day to day.
If you haven't learned, from 20 years of PC building, that all an I mean all manufacturers software is either complete garbage, or buggy at best, if you doinf RGB an not using signalrgb, your living in the 19th century, or open rgb at least, no manufacturer software will ever be great or even good for that matter because they focus on the product that's where the money is not the software no one pays extra for the software, therefore no matter whether it's RGB or not third-party options who have no stake in the matter will always be better software, it makes a lot of sense when you think about it and it's kind of common Sense, love the video love the attitude about I'm not having any steak or not giving a crap and just putting out the video with true feelings and information, thank you, keep up the good work
"I dont give a shit" - I subscribed right after you said that. I'm now going to watch some of your older vids. Thanks for sharing your experiences with Lian Li, I've always thought they made the coolest looking fans but now I'm reconsidering buying the Galahad LCD & strimmer cables. edit: I've just tried to watch your older vids & there wasn't many, you've got a great style, you should create more, you're better than most of the content creators on YT!
Corsair did the same for me. I had so many similar issues with the LL fans, controllers and even the replacements. That's not even getting into iCUE... but that's not a issue unique to Corsair. I was toying with the idea of adding a few linkable fans with reversed fan blades, and I was considering giving ARGB fans a try again. Seems nothing's changed with Corsair, so Lian Li? After watching this video... I guess not. Maybe ThermalTake...
I had a lian li fan making loud grinding noises. Before buying a new fan you could try to fix it. You can remove the blades from the fan casing very easily, clean the blades and casing, add some oil to the bearings and snap back the blades to the fan casing. The grinding noise was gone and the fan runs like new.
Wow I really enjoyed your insight. I actually have some more budget fans from Lian Li for an upcoming build and like you I love how innovative and ground breaking the brand is. What I don't like is how a company that is clearly brilliant at designing products obviously rushes the release without proper due diligence on the side of software development and testing. I find your info very disappointing and you have certainly made me want to consider parts more carefully so I appreciate your video. Only just come across your channel but I will check you out again after this. Thank you
Thank you for making this video! I'm fed up of iCue, won't go for LianLi either. I'll just stick to Arctic and Noctua on my next build. My Corsair RGB has been 99% off since its on the floor and find it uses more power and cpu resources when on. Also one update literally nuked it, cant be asked to fix it since it's such a hassle to reinstall.
*hugs*
Come to the dark side, our door is open for you. :)

I'm using Noctua fans in my system as well and love them...only wish Noctua would launch Chromax Black at the same time they launch v2 fans :)
where white noctua fans?
I have used same Noctua fans for 10 years. Never had a single issue. My pc is on 24/7. I only turn it off for few seconds if I have to update Windows. It's amazing that they are still running perfectly. Not a single one has broke down. If there was one product I've been happy with in past 10 years, that just has worked perfectly and over my expectations. It's Noctua. All the other companies has failed me from keyboards to monitors, and everything in between.
Don't you mean the brown side? :)
“I don’t really give a shit, I have no brand deals to lose, no sponsorships and low sub count, I don’t care.

lmao you and I felt the same.
Hahaha that line hooked me as well.....
Yup! Haha
my sub as well. No pressure. But we're looking forward to the follow up video you teased.
Got mine too

Lian Li, he's right. There is no reason that when you click "Update" "Check for latest version" that it does nothing. I had to go to your website to find out that there was an update, as your software couldn't recognize it. Needing to put in purchase date, serial number, etc. for a basic inquiry is ridiculous and turns customers away. Love your innovation, but you need to fix the basics first IMO.
fix l3connect smbus conflict with hwinfo its driving me crazy i cant restart my pc

"Useful as an ashtray on a motorcycle" - i'm stealing this thank you.
Same!
Actually not useless, had 1 on my Indian, great for meetups so you are not leaving butts on the ground, only when driving is it an issue.
the quality of this video was way above only 700 subs. and just being genuine and honest, not something you see a lot of on youtube anymore. +1 sub 👍
I'm looking to rebuild my pc soon so keen to see what you do with the fans in the next video
TH-cam says your post was six hours ago. He's now at 1.05k subs, so put on another 400 subs in just six hours. Let's hope that keeps up for him.
I wouldnt know it was that low if i didnt check the comments
Near 70 and love anime 👍

Gotta say, the TH-cam algorithm seems to keep suggesting smaller channels to me these days, and like several others, I'm shocked you don't have more subscribers. Count me in, you've got my sub! It's gonna be fun to look back and say I was there before the sub count was over three digits. ;) Keep it up, you've got something good going here.
facts
I gave up on RGB on my last build. Went with a blackout build and Noctua fans and haven't looked back.
Same
LOl,I wouldn't look back either
i to use noctua fans but use the halos digital RGB Frames gives a more understated look I like
Same.
This guy had me cracking up!! He needs SOOOO many more subcribers!
Thats why I have the infinity fans no problems at all. LDC Fans are new and honestly it's gonna be finicky in my opinion. They look cool as heck tho
Apparently the wireless versions are a lot better. I would recommend you to try the newest function of lconnect where you can delay the service startup by X seconds. The issue is that sometimes it starts when the dependencies from windows havent yet loaded. Try delaying it by 5-10 seconds.
“It’s just a rotating piece of plastic thats pushing air with fancy Christmas lights” sir you made me laugh and gained a sub on that alone.
Yeah, been running into some similar, though nowhere near as severe, issues. But I have to say.... you built one absolutely GORGEOUS rig right there.
Also what a recommendation from TH-cam. The production quality is as pretty as that damn PC. Liked, commented and definitely subbed.
This was a super high quality video - keep up the good content!
Would love to see more tech videos from you. Informative, funny and great production quality. Love the fact that you are not bought and paid for!
You might be my new favorite subscription Syndik8. I thought I was alone or one of the unlucky Lian Li buyers when it came to the Lian Li UNI Fan SL - LCD (all variants). Thank you for the voice and video. Take care Syndik8...
Okay, so I felt everything in this video!
Your delivery and storytelling is exceptional! Subbed and excited for more content
I enjoyed your calm and thoughtful presentation of the topic, it was much more insightful than a lot of other tech TH-camr videos.
LTT? if so yes.
You’re such a good story teller!! Great vid
Beautiful build, great info, you deserve my sub, I sincerely hope your channel grows.
If the paid for version wasn't "death by monthly subscription" I'd be all in. Til then, I'll make do with what I have.
@@Boba_Fett1980Signal is significantly better if you want custom effects and not the default ones
So entertaining to watch. How do you not have more subscribers, as this is a perfect video that explains what I am sure most RGB builders experience. Ordered the same AIO and had the same problem.
BTW case turned out beautiful. I look forward to your next vid.
Thank you this has helped me with choosing fans for my next build. I do not need these problems 9 months from now. have a sub!
You just gained a new subscriber. Thank you for this!
Awesome informative and fun video, bro. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Hoping it stays that way
Hyped for the OpenFAN video!
10 LCD fans? That is wild. No hate but I'm jealous of the income
@@datograt frr
Great video, greetings from Argentina!
I'm loving your commentary very true for many brands out there these days
I finally moved on and reset my rig with a fractal design north xl case and all black components, threw a $20 ARGB light bar in the top for a simple spotlight effect and literally couldn't been happier. open source software like Fan Control and OpenRGB make everything a breeze. only reason to ever pay a premium for fans is for performance and reliability, and none of the top RGB players can seem to get a grasp on that 💔
Subscribed. Sooo entertaining while informative!
Peak production, and well presented.
11:30 "Nuts first" is now my go-to phrase for LianLi. I will still use their cases, but stick with my AlphaCool vendor for all my cooling needs.
i think this is an honest review.. Im subbing
Good luck on the down-sizing!
similar with you: I used the Nollie 32 for my Lian Li Strimer cables, skipped the fans, and I use OpenRGB instead
Crazy how different experiences can be. I had no issues with mine and the software has always been working correctly for me.
Same here. Except I’ve had SL infinites for over a year. Maybe he got unlucky with QC or it has gone down a bit since I last bought from them. Zero issues at all for me personally.
That uninstallation process is reminiscent of what i had to do to get razer synapse working.
Get the tryx panoramic aio way nicer than lian li
@ i was looking at that one and asus ryujin III 360 extreme, both work well in benchmarks i saw online, but using them with factory fans would look a bit out of place, and if i switch to lets say lian li fans i don’t know how much worse the cooling would be. the case i’m interested in is o11 dynamic evo rgb so it would be hard to “hide” anything. and 1 more software to worry about with tryx on top of that…
This is exactly why I just use bequiet light wings. They are nice, quiet, and have cool RGB compatibility. I’ve never had to replace a single fan for the past 2 years.
What RGB software do you use for them?
I truly hope the algorithm continues to push this video and it inspires you to make more content. This was genuinely excellent, and I think based on other comments it's safe to say we want more.
Great video, Yusuf.
Loved your honesty... subbed
Just finished building with Phanteks D30 fans (in the NV9, also great, also Phanteks). Gorgeous, Quiet, Efficient, no special software needed and high build quality.
"nuts first" - I died...lol!!!!
Just subscribed , excellent delivery of information. Currently building a Lian Li in an XL tower. Hope it turns out well lol
Bruh the algorithm brough me here. That first minute got you my sub and view. Keep doing your thing brotha and the subs will come!
Great video man, earned a new sub, let's make this go even more viral
Not going to lie the software though for the RGB lighting with Lian Li is top-notch, I mean you get tons of customization options unbelievably a crazy amount compared to Asus and other brands.
Pro tip for new builders:
Take the $400 you have budgeted for stupid ass RGB and put it towards better CPU/GPU
Sick style bro!
Almost a perfect video. Just turn up your mic volume and you're good! Subscribed!
New mic in the next video 😁
"useful as an ashtray on a motorcycle" is such a beautiful figure of speech 🤣
I have no issues with my SL-INF fans from Lian Li but I've heard of so many problems with the Gallahad AIO and it doesn't surprise me that adding LCD screens to fans is causing issues. I think there's a certain point where things get way too complicated for their own good. Simple RGB for some fans should be simple to do but integrating screens and extra sensors starts to be too much for its own good.
I'm pretty sure it is related to the LCD. I've built a few PCs with Liam li RGB fans for friends and they have been fine. Personally I have a TL 140mm non LCD as an exhaust fan and it also has been working perfectly for 6 months.
thanks for your honest review! Subbed & Liked
Man o man. Thanks Thanks a much. I haven't finished the video yet but I was building a all LianLi build for my next one. Heard Heard Heard. I think I'll just go with Thermaltake all fan build. Hopefully no problems!!

I concur and no need to apologize for first hand experience. I have RGB via Corsairs execrable iCue Application and it’s spotty at best. The keyboard in particular just decides to do its own thing from day to day.
Excellent and helpful video. You may have saved my mental health.
Very amusing too.
And subscribed for the real talk! Much appreciated!
If you haven't learned, from 20 years of PC building, that all an I mean all manufacturers software is either complete garbage, or buggy at best, if you doinf RGB an not using signalrgb, your living in the 19th century, or open rgb at least, no manufacturer software will ever be great or even good for that matter because they focus on the product that's where the money is not the software no one pays extra for the software, therefore no matter whether it's RGB or not third-party options who have no stake in the matter will always be better software, it makes a lot of sense when you think about it and it's kind of common Sense, love the video love the attitude about I'm not having any steak or not giving a crap and just putting out the video with true feelings and information, thank you, keep up the good work
went from a lian li full rgb like the one in the video to a north xl noctua build 0 problem and great performance love it
"I dont give a shit" - I subscribed right after you said that.
Thank you
This is great. I have been using argb with the Asus Armoury Crate, but really thinking about going black out for my next build
