The Wooting 60HE has been the benchmark keyboard for gamers... the special features it has due to the Hall-Effect switches deemed it the "cheating" keyboard... but now... other companies want a slice of its pie... like the new KBDfans Holy 60 + Rakka PCB... but is it any good? Better than the current king? Let's take a look!

I'd highly recommend checking out the Magnetic Jades Switches tho! Great sound, the bottom is "closed", giving a bottom out sound that sounds closer to regular switches' bottom out
Others have recommended this also! Will have to!
save yourself the jades and go for geonworks raptor he switches use the raptor with the lekker stems they sound and feel sooooooooooo goooood
@@melihdrms1182 I would say both are great but I like the light green color of jade more, raptor red heavily affect the rgb too.
I go on youtube, I see Keybored new vid, I click
i look in the comments, i see a comment like this, i cry for 3 hours straight
You can't spell Skibidi fans without KBDFans
Hahaha
Couldn’t even edge the trigger! My head exploded IMMEDIATELY! 😂 Clean up on aisle my room 😅

Seen Alexotos' review of this case, it's so much better with regular MX switches. I'd love to build this thing plateless at some point. After all that worked wonders with my Hibi June.
I'm actually liking that the Hall Effect keyboard space is expanding. I've seen some cool customizations for the Wooting 60HE, but knowing that there are other companies offering comparable software offerings is a good sign for things to come. I look forward to seeing your comparison video.
On another note: Good to see you spreading Democracy, Helldiver!
TLDR
Title: Better gaming keyboard than wooting 60 HE?
Video: "I dont know"
GATERON MAGNETIC JADE switches are the END GAME for HE based Keebs... sounds just about like a standard switch, perfect. They closed the bottom opening to the HE switch, making the feel and sound more solid
It still has the hollow spring rattle sound the OG lekker switches have must be the characteristic of gateron's HE switch design. Guess I will have to wait for gateron to iron it out with future HE switches they release. Or some other manufacturer might solve that in the future.
Raesha are the end game. Sorry my guy.
loooovely video! i just stumbled upon your channel. can't wait for more!
The case is absolutely beautiful, as for the PCB I'll hold my judgement, one of the great things of the wooting is their software :D but I want this case so much!
There's also Looting68, ATK68 and GM87 as other relatively affordable HE keyboards out there.
As for HE switches, it should be noted that most manufacturers should choose the same switch design (position of magnet, and polarity of magnet) otherwise there are going to be hidden incompatibilities. For example, the new Outemu HE switches are completely incompatible with any other keyboards that can use Gateron HE switches because their polarity is different.
I feel like having the same or similar HE switch (or at least, the magnet position and polarity) will be critical for a growing market right now.
Edit: I should also note that I cannot ascertain that using a switch with a different polarity can be fixed software-sided.
fun fact: gateron even has 2 diferent types of he switches that are incompatible with ine another!
rakka60 is basically top-notch hall effect pcb, there is nothing that can beat it for the moment, but, yeah, market is growing so fast that we got a bunch of great and affordable hall effects keyboards in previous 9 months
@@notneredWhat makes it better than the competition?
Looking forward for the review of the zoom65v3 HE and qk65 v2 classic HE versions and see how they compares to the wooting!
Gorgeous keyboard - love that Fusion computer generated design look.
They're hall effect switches made to conform to the MX footprint, so it's apples and oranges. I'm surprised these bottom out at all. It would be nice to see manufacturers (and enthusiasts) experiment with different materials for different sound effects. I like tactile, so in lieu of a click spring, I'd like to see a beamspring and leafspring instead. No idea how they could be adapted to different actuation depths.
Meletrix Boog 75 HE is what I'm rocking atm, might get this one with the Rakka PCB and eventually the Wooting 80 HE as well
Awesome review! Waiting for the comparison with other hall-effect keyboards!
Hall-Effect is legit, many game controllers are using Hall Effect analog joysticks now to mitigate drifting.
The housing design is amazing!!
A keyboard I want to try!!🤩🤩
It is so light weight! Next meet up I will bring!
I'd like the case on a really flexible gasket mount. I'm sure it would get lots of attention at the office lol.
Yeah that kind of hollow feeling sound is why I went with the takka 60 using the tofu 60 redux instead.
If you need/want any suggestions for Hall effect keyboard comparisons, I have to suggest the Boog75 (from Meletrix/Wuque Studios). For me, it strikes a great balance between gaming HE boards and custom mech boards. And they also sell it as a module to put in whatever zoom75 case color you might want.
Other HE boards that come to mind would be the keychron q1 he, Akko mod 007 HE, Monsgeek M1W HE, Drunkdeer A75. And there are probably more that have come out since the last time I looked into it.
Yup! Boog75 on its way, along with the keychron HE! Melgeek had one that I'm thinking of picking up as well... But seems like the list grows everyday lol
After extensive testing by a large number of users in China, RAKKA HE PCB has proven to have performance accuracy that surpasses wooting. You can buy with confidence.
That spacebar is soooo rough🤢
Not the winner in the sound department for sure
I got the case, with a dz60 pcb, you need to try it as well. I do have a wooting pcb if I want to move in it but prolly not, the case I got for it makes it sound somewhat useable
Been using my Wooting Lekker Edition keyboard for a few years now and I still havent found a keyboard that is as enjoyable and functional. I love having analog inputs! I hope more keyboards like these continue to come out in more form factors (75% please!!).
They are literally releasing one like in 2 months. Pre orders are open
@8lec_R Just spent like 10 minutes searching for it.. you have a name or link?
this is the first hall effect pcb ive seen with multilayout support and most importantly split spacebar. Sadly due to limitations of the design they have a split confiq thats not to my liking, but overall having a split spacebar with hall effect switches is huge!
I would love to see a HE round up. I'm particularly interested in the Boog75 and the Akko He boards.
Imagine if we could get a frosted polycarbonate snap on interior cover for the internals, would make for some pretty light diffusion and shadowy effect peeking through the holes.
That's a good idea!
Best idea I heard was to pair the case with silent switches just for its looks
you should try Gateron Magnetic Jade switches! the bottom out clack are more pronounced and solid, definitely the best hall effect switches i tried so far!
Wish you could have tried this board with the new KS-20U version of the switch that released, since it's supposedly superior in all aspects 😭
Other than that, amazing video as always, love your content.
Thank you!
Dunno why but this strikes me as a case for the sneaker heads, gotta say it catches the eye.
oof we need the scientific vs to see which one is faster like the guy who compared the other hall effects with the wooting
Damn that case looks really good. I love it.
new keybored video, nice! with the openness of the keeb, does it mean there isn't much dust build up? or would there still be, or might be easier to clean with air dusters 🤣nice to see so many HE boards, but hope the softwares can keep up with the production 😓
Ah you should've tried the Gateron Magnetic Jade switches, they are HE switches but don't suffer from the same bad bottom out as it's closed on the bottom vs open like the others. Made a massive difference for me when modding my wooting
incredibly smexy design!!! hope this gets to the EU
Awesome video BUT please make the background music lower. It really distracts.
If you can test the input latency of other keyboards too that would be great. Similar to what optimumtech does.
Babe wake up. New Keybored video just dropped.
Thanks for the review Scott!! great to see more competition for wooting and to hear the software seems solid! I’m admittedly not competitive enough to care about the feature set, and will say the HE switch sound vs. traditional MX is a real turn off, but who knows what things will look like for HE switches as they grow in popularity?
No problem! Thanks for stopping by! I'm just wondering how I can get usage feedback from gamers on HE keyboards lol... I'm not very competitive eithet
@@Keyboredhaha, yeah, that’s fair! OptimumTech has done a number of HE keyboard reviews (including covering wooting and some other competitors), and he seems to be pretty in touch with the competitive crowd. Might be worth seeing some of the stuff he’s put out (or collaborating with him, seems like y’all would get along, he’s very technical)!
It's time for a Keychron Q version and a budget Royal Kludge version
Review and compare them also with Keychron Q1 HE please!
Soundwise i think the casefoam still has a place, since it dampens the frequencies reflected down into your table
Issue was that it looked so ugly haha
I want Mode to make a keyboard with hall effect PCB.
Please have a look at the Geon HE switches as well in your comparison
I'm putting a Wooting60 into this Holy60 case soon. :D
You should try the Gateron Jade switches. I put those in my Wooting 60HE (in a Tofu 60 Redux - with weight bar and the PCB has the PC Plate) and mannnnn that makes it sound waayyyyy better. The sound is in the realm of marbly like my custom Zoom TKL with Akko CS Jelly Blacks. Not that good, but in the realm. And that is very impressive for a HE switch.
Do those come prelubed?
@@jesusfajardo2357 yessir!
The PCB and software look good, but as with every other Wooting clone we'll have to see what the performance is like. Seems to be the best clone so far tho
Thank you for explaining the software. So many videos just ignore or gloss over the software piece, which IMO will make or break a keyboard.
You probably shouldn't blow on the keyboard. You can definitely damage it.
Yoooo Keybored Gaming when?
Issue is that I suck at games lol
Interesting design, but I prefer silent boards, so not for me.
i want this case just to do the sloppiest and ugliest tape mod of all time
Hey Scott, loved your thoughts on this! You recommended changing the bottom out Sound of the switch to kbdfans. How would you go about this? Maybe a metal insert on the pcb? Perhaps this could work with the hall effect and could produce a sound like the cream+ switches with metal inserts.
I heard that there is a different gaterons he switch that had a closed bottom! It will sound much better
For everyone who is not up to date. All the TH-cam people who review peripherals for gaming, have all said that not a single HE keyboard has been as good as Wootings. Obviously I have no idea about this keyboard since it's so new.
But for the rest of the keebs, they are missing one or two key features which kinda negates the point of having an HE keyboard for me atleast. So if you are trying to save money or going for a different form factor, do your research to see if you can live with the missing features.
That's all. Just wanted to give a heads up to avoid people from having buyer's remorse.
Wooting is the benchmark!
4:01 "And, yes, they're both orange as well."
Excuse me, what?
This is a nightmare for cat owners. Wish there was an option to have like a clear film or something over the holes
The Wooting boards are more than just magnetic switches. Their low input latency completely spanks the rest of the market.
rakka 60he has better latency and better rapid trigger implementation that wooting60 though. Even atk68 has better latency than wooting60he
@@notneredproof?
Wait, you're asking this Dude for Proof but the other Dude Not?
@@backinbusiness95 Yes because it's a community consensus that the Wooting60HE has the lowest latency across the board compared to other HE competitors.
Optimum Tech has some videos where he uses a device and measures the latency, and the wooting trumps all of the competition in both latency and in practical use (software).
I can't find a better raved keyboard for latency, can you?
Are you saying that it would be quieter without the foams?
I have a few 60% cases lying around, they should sell the PCB and foams without the case for about a 100 or so, that would be great, I feel like that open case design is not a good compliment for the type of switches the PCB uses, so offering the option to just get the PC is a no brainer.
I think thats the plan in the future! Kind of like the wooting module
the main selling point of wooting is the ability to bind up to 4 keybinds on a single key using different actuation point. if this doesnt have it, it is no better than any good optical keyboard, especially razer analog ones.
I'll have to check but this also did have something like that... I haven't tested it but I'll look deeper into it's software
@@Keybored thanks! yeah, this feature of wooting caused a drama in an osu community, and it allowed many good players to play fastest tracks they couldn't do before. would be nice to know which HE keyboards have this
someone gotta do a Spiderman themed build with this case
Hahaha that's pretty creative!
Sooooo, about the case restrictions: I was able to drop my 60He PCB into a salvation 60 case.
we got a honeycomb keyboard before gta 6 😭😭😭😭
this keyboard sounds terrible
yeah, case and switches are pretty bad, they should have filled those holes from the inside, so it would still look cool, but at the same time it would sound much better. Also, they should change orange switches to jade's, cuz they are much better in terms of sound and wobble
No one cares. Gay
I saw this case and was like „I want it!“ because it matches perfectly with my BeastX Mouse. I check some videos and realized that holes in a case is the worst thing in terms of acoustics what you can make 😂
@@notneredshould’ve filled the holes on the bottom so the pcb would be as exposed
@@0-0MaverickVdiy fill it in with some resin would be sick look with some clear like neon yellow or purple resin
Can someone justify the price tag with the RVSE design
I don’t know anything about HE keyboards so please forgive my ignorance. How secure are the HE switches? It looks like they only have 2 pins. Also, is there such thing as north or south facing in this situation? It looks like you could mount the switches in either direction. Looking forward to the comparison of HE keyboards! Any chance you’ll include the QK65v2 classic with the HE PCB??
They were actually very snug so no issues there! You can technically fit it in both directions. But brands will tell you which is best for their board. For example, wooting says north facing
Nothing wrong with tray mount. I have a few boards with that mounting style. The case with all the holes though is just f%^king dumb. If you transport around between locations you WILL damage the pcb and knock off surface mount parts. There will be no way to tune the sound and it will collect dust and crap. And it just sounds TERRIBLE lol
While I find the magnetic switches interesting, I also feel they´re kinda gimmicky. Outside of hardcore gamers, most people don´t need a super fast switch that you can adjust I think. One thing I have noticed and do like, is that these switches don´t have pins that can bend out of shape and I see that the PCB doesn´t need hot swap sockets.
i agree, i actually used atk68 on gateron magentic switches and g65 on raesha switches and they were pretty bad in terms of sounding and feeling if we compare them to my main keyboard mod 007 pc. In terms of performance i think they was slightly better, but i can't say that difference is day and night, it's like 1k hz mice and 4k hz mice. There is a difference, but not that much
ANSI or ISO should always be mentioned in the video title!
I just wasted 10 seconds + writing this only to find out this is ANSI board.
God, I love keyboards.
This keyboard looks really opium and cool, but I don't even want to think how many times in a month I would have to disassemble entire keyboard to clean it from dust.
Edit. Nvm, compressed air, but still the case design seems really unhandy.
What about dust building up inside the holes of the case. Could that interfere with the switches and the pcb?
How can I get a Rakka H60 by itself so I can add Raptor keys to it and my own base etc?
Awww… I was hoping for an April Fools video from you. HaHa. Btw. What happened to the Korean food tour vids?
I took bunch of footage of it and never got to edit it :( too much keebs. I'm planning to reduce a few keeb content to make it
how to actually make a good 60% HE board: ditch the standard ansi bottom into tsangan
Are HE switches still considered mechanical switches?
Another good video, but I'm not a fan of the look/sound of this board. Interesting though!
Ok. Where's the PCBway sponsored segment.
Hahaha
is the keyboard 8,000hz polling rate?
Is it even near Wooting performance wise tho?
why would i want a lightweight keyboard? so it slides around when i play?
So its the same basically?
You just know wooting is killing it when rival manufacturers use their name to click bait views for their own product.
I was expecting it to sound better being a custom mech company making a gaming keyboard. Honestly the wooting I have with the like 3 mods I have done to it (adding my own foam mod, tape, and coins for weight sounds a lot better than this does. Still meh because the lekkar switches sound horrible. But this sounds even worse lol that case sucks.
honest question, where do you need the rapid trigger thing and how is it better then having just a macro for "rapid fire".
Also the "sound" of switches is valued way to high, it a property like the case color.
The name doesn’t fully grasp what it allows you to do. Whenever you push the keyboard down it activates and as soon as you let go it deactivates which makes any action with your keyboard much more precise and repeatable. You have to see it to believe it
ever consider adding gaming keyboard contents? seems gaming keyboard innovation is catching up with custom keyboard these days.
I am actually think of it honestly. Gaming keebs, custom keebs, productivity keebs all kind of converging
love a 60%
Without any metrics, polling rate, measurements, anything, pretty much a DOA. Well, at least they tried to copy wooting.
But does it have feature parity with Wooting? None of these knock off keyboards have continuous rapid trigger
Yup this one does!
what's the point of HE keyboards?
bro the price is crazy wooting is tested the best keyboard fpr 140-150usd
I was in the market for a new board and saw this available. It looked awesome, I would have instantly addded it to the cart if it wasnt for the obnoxious badge, it looks awful and right on the face of the keyboard
Bringing Democracy to keyboards!
Hahaha absolutely! Otherwise it'll be treasonous
What about the meletrix Boog 75
you are right, it's the Wooting 80HE 🤣
the case looks like swiss cheese.
You say I dont wanna make this a skibidi vs wooting video then make a clickbait title with wooting in it?
light weight gaming mouse "YES", light weight KB a big "NO".
Can you test springs? They are tje biggest problem with he switches.
Springs inside the he switch?
@@Keybored in different HE switches and aftermarket springs. Yes, they are pingy, crunchy and feel mushy, because the small wire od and big diameter. It’s huge problem. They also need to be non ferrous and have a non standard size, so it is really hard to find proper replacements. I even thought about ordering some custom beryllium copper springs.
Excellent
