I have both a Roku Streambar Pro and wireless speakers. They will not work at the same time, so it's either or!!! I use the rear wireless speakers mostly, but would love to have a surround sound system where the sound coming from both front and rear speakers is the same (especially for dialogue).

I do have to say I respectfully disagree with the music capabilities review of this device. I have a JBL wireless speaker and the Roku soundbar itself puts that speaker to shame. I have actually been most impressed with how great Spotify sounds with my surround sound system. The speakers boom the sound of my music even at low volume
I have this Roku soundbar, speakers & sub- very happy with it. Super easy to set up. I originally purchased a Vizio M51 system which never worked consistently.When it did, it sounded great. Vizio & Sony have connectivity problems. I spent hours on the phone with both companies & ended up returning the Vizio.
Jacob Rubio the speakers will set you back about $200 if you buy from Roku (which seems to to be the only place to get them from atm) but they only work with a Roku TV. Walmart has an onn. Brand version for $150 and the Subwoofer goes for about $180.

Ok, I got it, and it is basically hooking up a Roku to a Roku. Honestly, it's confusing, and I'm not sure I recommend it. You have to control the soundbar audio settings with the soundbar remote, and video settings with the TV remote. If you keep your settings the same mostly, it's no huge deal, but if you tinker with them a lot, it's kind of a mess.
Roku 4k streaming stick has been great for me have it on two of my tv's and since it has more apps then my lg tvs default smart tv apps very useful. The interface is a little bit slow but once you setup it works well especially with the wifi boost certain models let you add extra power to get a better connection. Had mine for over a year and it was a good purchase for sure
Sadly Vizio system would not work consistently with my Sony XBR- had to return it. It did sound great- but I had to reboot all the time & even then did not work half the time.
Vizio is good but their sub units suck man, I’ve returned two because of weird sounds coming from the woofer. Literally just bought one the other day and already returning it. It’s sucks cause the overall sound is amazing man

My GF surprised me with an early Xmas gift! I just installed mine, and I love the sound of it without the subwoofer, so I can't wait to add one. What I don't like is there seems to be a little navigation lag as it compares to my Roku Ultra. That's my only complaint. I wonder if an update can fix that in the future.
Is there a way to add eq capability to this soundbar. To be able to enhance trebles would significantly help with speech clarity. This soundbar with its predefined selection list of sound "enhancements" doesn't quite get it done IMO.

The only thing with adding the speakers is it takes away the sound fro. The soundbar but u wont tell the difference its great quality sound.
Now you can and it will turn them into rear surround speakers in movie mode and boost them slightly in music mode. The soundbar will still be predominately what you hear if you have it pair with the device.

If your tv has hdmi arc yes. As for the headphones no. But you can download the roku app on a phone and pair them to your phone to use Bluetooth headphones.

I think this ROKU sound bar has a great potential for standard viewers in experiencing streaming and improved audio with an easy to use interface. It’s not going to grab an audiophiles ear but for the general population I’m sure they would recommend it’s purchase for the price, quality, value and overall features.

No Ethernet connection. If you connect the soundbar to the ARC input then yes, audio from any other HDMI port and antenna TV will come through the soundbar as it will replace the TV speakers for outputting audio. Hope that helped!
So, you're thinking he should record the system playing music that you can then listen to on whatever you have attached to your phone/computer and that will allow you to make an objective evaluation of sound quality of the soundbar? I don't think that would work very well.
RJ, run the Roku into the HDMI input on the back of the Xbox and run the Xbox out to the 4k HDMI on the tv. Also, use the optical port on the back of the Xbox and run that to your Roku. That should take care of your problem!
I haven't even watched the video yet but I can tell you I'll never buy another device with roku integrated in it. I have a Roku TV that just runs worse and worse the longer I have it. My other TV I can just get a new Roku when newer, faster, more feature rich ones are available. But this TV has started to crash often, sometimes the remote input is delayed by 10- 15 seconds if it responds at all. I've had to factory reset it every few months and that helps slightly for a limited amount of time. Ugh I don't want to replace my soundbar that often.
I agree 100% as I have a couple of Roku TV's. The TV itself is fine so I may just go buy a stand alone Roku and plug it into the TV and turn off the builtin Roku.

Does any one really need more than one Rohu? I have it on my TV and now it's being forced on a speaker! Roku streamers aren't long lived before they ago out, I've had 3 that have aged out. Really stop with the Roku streamers.
I just purchased the soundbar and subwoofer. In a nutshell, the soundbar is just ok, the subwoofer SUCKS. There is literally no way to control the sub volume level, other than in the menu which has normal bass/less bass/more bass. How STUPID. Also, the design of the sub is that it fires downwards, with no other passive radiators. If you have carpet, you will lose half the volume of the sub, and all the bass definition. It absorbs it. POOR DESIGN. For the soundbar, there are no granular audio controls for bass, treble, and mids. Only volume up/down. Also, there are very limited inputs for other audio sources. Apple Airplay doesn't work. Audio plays for a couple seconds and cuts out, even though it shows it is playing. This is from an iphone 8 plus. Now, if you use the Roku iphone app, you can play audio from the app, and that works. Very flawed implementation. The only upside to all of this, is the packaging was good for both items. This will come in handy when I return both of these items to Amazon.
I bought the 2019 LG soundbar with a 2019 LG 75' nanocell and the two will not link up for real time voice. Adjusted to the max with optimal cable and it's like watching a spanish movie in English. My opinion would be any soundbar over the LG soundbar. LG 👎👎👎
Byron Smith you know what’s annoying... a regular ass 2.1 pc speaker setup from like logitech hooked up through 3,5mm jack still delivers the best synchronized result! I’ve had soundbars and receivers, after hours of adjusting you can get an almost perfect synced a/v, but that 3,5mm jack is still perfect! So sad most tv’s don’t have a headphone out anymore!

Essentially the sound bar just takes over the audio. Both remotes work great. I have a tcl as well. Easy setup.

Yes, you can. They did an update a few months ago where you can use all the speakers as a 5.1 system.

Unfortunately yes. I purchased this combo with a new roku TV and just wanted to use to play movies on our dvd combo. Unfortunately it won't work unless you have an account set up.

ppsvandijk of someone wants Dolby Atmos and they truly was to experience it then they shouldn’t be looking at a sound bar for that anyway. Also not everyone lives in apartments.

Does any one really need more than one Rohu? I have it on my TV and now it's being forced on a speaker! Roku streamers aren't long lived before they ago out, I've had 3 that have aged out. Really stop with the Roku streamers.
The advantage of the roku soundbar is that it has roku built in. If you already have roku just buy another soundbar

I just purchased the soundbar and subwoofer. In a nutshell, the soundbar is just ok, the subwoofer SUCKS. There is literally no way to control the sub volume level, other than in the menu which has normal bass/less bass/more bass. How STUPID. Also, the design of the sub is that it fires downwards, with no other passive radiators. If you have carpet, you will lose half the volume of the sub, and all the bass definition. It absorbs it. POOR DESIGN. For the soundbar, there are no granular audio controls for bass, treble, and mids. Only volume up/down. Also, there are very limited inputs for other audio sources. Apple Airplay doesn't work. Audio plays for a couple seconds and cuts out, even though it shows it is playing. This is from an iphone 8 plus. Now, if you use the Roku iphone app, you can play audio from the app, and that works. Very flawed implementation. The only upside to all of this, is the packaging was good for both items. This will come in handy when I return both of these items to Amazon.

I bought the 2019 LG soundbar with a 2019 LG 75' nanocell and the two will not link up for real time voice. Adjusted to the max with optimal cable and it's like watching a spanish movie in English. My opinion would be any soundbar over the LG soundbar.

Byron Smith you know what’s annoying... a regular ass 2.1 pc speaker setup from like logitech hooked up through 3,5mm jack still delivers the best synchronized result! I’ve had soundbars and receivers, after hours of adjusting you can get an almost perfect synced a/v, but that 3,5mm jack is still perfect! So sad most tv’s don’t have a headphone out anymore!

I think the price is too high, $358 (with subwoofer) there are other some bars with better features around that price range maybe even less.

Roku is overrated. No Dolby Vision, no HDR10+, no lossless audio support, and a horribly outdated UI. Amazon Fire TV and Apple TV 4K both blow that ugly overhyped Roku out of the water.
Am I missing something? How am I able to watch my digital movies on my Roku TV with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos?

Don't buy this! My wireless crapped out after 6 months and nothing I do can bring it back! There is no ethernet plug and the wireless is dead. Don't throw away your money!!!
Crap ,buy good stuff like Polk or Bose dont waste your money on these cheap brands you ll regret it,in my case i own two Polk Soundbars ,the Signa Solo and the Signa S2 take a look on those.

Sooo you mention "set top box" have you ever tried to put anything on top of a one half an inch thick top of a tv??? No because it won't sit there. Thats the most ignorant thing for anyone to call any roku or apple tv or whatever. A tv is not a set. Lets call things what they are
