    Mate, I've seen a dozen or more campers' channels reviewing this unit and I've just skip-skip-skip as they are just mostly adverts where they read a script. You have shown what a review should be like. Excellent content. Thanks a lot for all your hard work and hope Ecoflow are suitably proud of their endorsement of your channel. Thanks again.

    This is honestly so good review of product. I wish more reviewers do reviews with your quality. This Ecoflow unit seems to be pretty good and functionality wise it could replace inverter in van at all. I hope you will do more of those. Looking forward to off-grid test.

    Another great review with relatable real-world examples. I appreciate the deep dive on the fan noise. I agree with the plus points you noted as well as the desire for a higher DC output option. A device like the Delta 2 Max was not on my radar but now I am considering it.
    You have raised your level of professionalism once again in your content production. Thank you for taking the time to make this video in your style.

    Thank you taking the time for an in depth review of features! I like really detailed product reviews. It's very rare to see the power numbers required for cooking with electric. Valuable info for power planning. Using the expansion batteries, this could totally replace all batteries for full time RV living using electric power only!
    If Ecoflow folks are looking at comments, care to add any info on db@1m ratings at full 100% fans, 50%fans? 0%fans and just electronic noise?
    Loved the humor in the review as well. I had time for Dat! ;-p

    I liked this review. I'm a homeless truck driver live in my truck. Very slow right now so I can't afford one of these. I appreciate that you don't have a wall of these generators behind you like the other guys I've watched. They just seem to collect them for some reason. Makes me jealous lol. But you have no idea how much this would help me. I can't even have a 12 volt fridge for food. I mean I could but I'd have to run the truck to have it. And with diesel being 5 bucks a gallon that wouldn't be wise. Anyway great review. Hope to watch more. I just subscribed.

    • @Everlanders
      @Everlanders  ปีที่แล้ว

      Our big 85 liter fridge uses 400Wh per day... Average of 17 watts, you could easily run this from a small solar panel or your chassis batteries as long as you ran the truck once a day.

    Great little editing bits. The buffer is a good feature. I have to look back when you were building the batteries. I seem to remember there was a certain way to pair the cell blocks. (Not the correct verbiage) So they are putting out similar energy so one doesn't blow the cell. Man I totally messed that up.😅
    Ok so as I get ready for our build. I need to go back and review your electrical build again. 😮😅

    Wow, what great review. And it was a two-fer, to boot. Honestly, I don't recall ever seeing an in-depth cooking class as part of an electronics review. :) As part-time off-grid RVers, my wife and I both learned a ton of new cooking tricks. Makes me want to shed our propane stove in favor of an induction cooktop and countertop oven. On a side note, your audio quality is now outstanding. It was fine before, but now it's well-polished. Keep 'em coming, Jason ... thanks for all you do.

    Great new video. Put it in the onion! You can really tell all the extra bits and bobs you have added to the editing. I’m really looking forward to your next one powering the house. Your right if the eco flow had a few more 12v outputs it could really be a drop in battery source for a van conversion or other type of vehicle.

    For those people complaining about the the disturbing fan speeds: do you not use a table fan at all? My A/C makes more noise in my window by far. Besides, you have 2000+ watt-hours in a briefcase in a tent in the middle of nowhere, so who cares?

    I've got an Ecoflow Delta Pro in the tongue box of my camper, a 1980 Burro. 3.6 kWh is a substantial amount of energy, but still not enough ha. My experience mirrors Jason's; all my cooking/kitchen needs can easily be met by the DP. In addition, I've used it to heat water for a camp shower (1800W) and the DP didn't even break a sweat. I've set up my camper so that all energy input goes first to the DP and then to the camper's little breaker panel (PD4045ka), whether AC or DC. Ultimate goal is to set up for boondocking; I've set up my EV tow vehicle to access its 78 kWh battery to supplement the DP, acting as a giant silent generator. When it runs down, disconnect and scoot over to the nearest town that has charging stations and charge whilst resupplying, or eating or site seeing. My last 2 camping trips were just that and it worked quite well. Having a rapid charger nearby is a bonus.

    Awesome review as always! Looking forward to the house videos. Like you and several comments mentioned, I would very much like to see some 12v love from these units. I understand the larger desire/customer-base for 120VAC, but I personally will be looking for more 12VDC/24VDC support in a "fresh packaged unit straight from the ocean" should one be offered. Otherwise, I'll be going the home-grown route.
    Also as a data-hungry and privacy-minded nerd, I would also to have like at least a snippet of how well/if the software interfaces with Grafana, HA, Blink, etc. just in case I wanted to ditch the app. (kinda wished I would have plugged this as a minor idea previously..oops)

    Excellent review as always. Many thanks for your time. More 12v outputs would be nice. 5521, XT60 or Anderson at at least 10a each. After all, if you use this in a auto/truck/van, you are wanting to power stuff on this instead of the vehicle starter batteries. It seems like many of the major players are reducing the number of 12v outputs which makes them a non-option for me. They seem to be throwing more and more 120v outlets with how wattage's inverters which makes them more useful for a home but not the auto/truck/van.

    • @ieism1
      @ieism1 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can't even power a diesel heater with the Ecoflow 12v outlet. So I went back to Victron and now use the Delta as a home solar farm with their powerstream unit.

    Awesome review. I really love how you went in detail about the fan noise. I want to use this system in doors and if it sounds like a jet engine at moderate use then I can't stand it.
    The Delta 2 and Delta Max sounded like a Boeing 757 revving up for take-off. I love that they made this one much quieter. I just ordered it and can't wait for it to arrive.

    As an overland traveler the input voltage range of 100-120 Volts AC is actually something you might be critical of too

    • @Everlanders
      @Everlanders  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      We haven't been able to charge from the Grid in over 4 years, it just doesn't exist down here... The grid charging I did in the video was actually just running off of our inverter...

    • @Everlanders
      @Everlanders  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Given the way this inverter and charger is designed, it's running the inverter in reverse as the charger. It's a huge technical challenge that would add significant cost that a very small part of the user base would utilize.
      This is no different than our high end Victron inverter... It requires a external voltage transformer too, not to mention the complexities that come from 50/60hz switching.

I'm searching for what I should do to have a 12V, 7,000 btu roof air conditioner (850w max and, as you said in another video, 550w on average) on my truck camper that has, let's say an ordinary electrical power configuration. I have 400w in panels, 220Ah in AGM batteries and a 30A controller, so I think the solution is to connect the 12v air conditioning directly to the Delta2max and connect the Delta2max to a 12v outlet of the camper so that it charges simultaneously, albeit slowly, and put it to run , I hope I can have it turned on in this way for at least 3 hours on a sunny day at 32 degrees Celsius outside and 8 hours at night at about 30 degrees Celsius outside, setting it at 24 Celsius inside. My truck camper is well insulated, although it has all the usual windows, but it is smaller than yours. What do you think, will it work?. Hoping to do the flat mounting on my Starlink too. Greetings from Ecuador.

      No, I don't think you have enough solar to make that work...

      Thank you Jason, what if I increase 400w in portable solar panels connected to Delta2?

      No... 400 watts of solar isn't enough

    Great review! 🙌👍 Like you and many others have said it’s such a mystery why they haven’t included a more decent DC output. Vanlife and such is still so popular and within that community these batteries are very popular. And also a good thing considering how terrible many self builders electrical installations are. These simplify things!
    Also, refuse to call them “solar generators”… Such a idiotic name. 🤦‍♂️

    You mention cpat. If you use this ,were you worked up for nasal obstruction first? Many people have this problem and a small easy surgery can cure everything.. it’s a GAME CHANGER. THANKS FOR YOUR REVIEWS

      2 surgeries, I can absolutely go without it, but Kara sleeps better when I have it.

    I agree wholeheartedly with your assessment that it needs to have a higher DC output xt60 or other type connection. I would have jumped at this much sooner than Black Friday sales (one for my parents and one for myself) if they would have put that Infinity Port like they put on the ecoflow Delta Pro so you could actually stop at a car charger station and charge it up. I plan on taking it with me car camping with a tiny little trailer and I don't have enough space to have enough solar if I use it heavily some days while rough camping, especially with overcast weather or staying in populated areas where I can't set up solar panels. Honestly if they would put out a unit with higher DC output and the ability to go plug into a supercharger, I would probably return this and get that immediately haha

    Excellent product review. Made all the better by the likely fact that you would be very unlikely to have one as a permanent part of your RV. I'm guessing most of the tech heads watching your channel would likely be doing power DIY rather than these all-in-one wonder boxes. Either way, well done, really well put together review. 👍👍

      You'd be surprised how many people comment that they wish they could do what I did, but feel they lack the skill. They just want to buy something, and for those this would meet a lot of their needs.

    Thank you for your awesome video. Nice on all the video features. To ECOFlow In evaluating these types of units for field deployment in emergency communications for ARRL ARES and government RACES activation, the 10A 12VDC is not sufficient for ham radio emergency communications needs, especially when we add in packet communications. The equivalent Bluetti unit has a 25A 12VDC option (on a bizarre aviation connector for RV or emcom), but it is available and meets the needs. So to EcoFlow -> 10A 12VDC is not enough. You need to fix this and on a standard connector. Note that for ham radio, Anderson powerpole red/black up to 45A. However, easy to convert from other RV connectors.
