I want a 3-D Mario that has a massive Metro Kingdom. Imagine a large open world city with different platforming areas but also a spiderman feel.

All Im hoping for is for the next 3D Mario game to have Yoshi. Galaxy 1, 3D Land, 3D World, and Bowser’s Fury didn’t have Yoshi for whatever reason, so I hope the next 3D Mario game doesn’t forget about him! 🙏

In my opinion Mario Odysseys Postgame is very, very good. It gives you more content, and that's awesome.
I just wish they would have all the moons in the kingdoms before be there right from the very beginning. But opening the moon-cuboid and then collecting all the new moons felt "good", but it would be better if I could collect everything in one row in my opinion.

Here’s why I prefer moons to the usual star missions. Moons let you play the game however you want. If you want to get some moons but don’t feel like playing the story? Go right ahead! You want to play it the “intended way”? Then go right ahead! Some moons are genuinely challenging and interesting to find, but some are easy. And that lets you do whatever you want and let’s you play the way YOU want to. I’m using dunkey’s example for SM64, but it could be used for odyssey as well. Odyssey is like jazz, you can do anything and things change depending on the person and it could change how things feel and you can make mistakes but that could lead you to other moons and those moons let you collect them however you want. In the star missions, I love them but they don’t let you have the sense of freedom because a. You need to leave the level to get another star. And b. It’s a very linear gameplay style unlike the moons which, again, let you do what you want. And to me, they 100% replace the missions even if the missions have more content than the average moon.
Bosses that are challenging and have unique designs. No Bowser repeats, no Koopalings crap. Bosses that redeem the lack of imagination used in Wonder.

Browser being a good guy is like eggmen being a good guy in sonic. It just doesn’t mix and takes from the character. We have to keep him. They should do what sega did in sa2. Dr egg man is the antagonist but he’s not the final bosses. Browser should be the antagonist but do not make him one of the final bosses.

Here’s what I think the next Mario game will be
Super Mario Expedition - An open world Mario game, where you start off in ONE area until you complete certain tasks, then you’re free to explore the rest of the world, while some are more recommended to start with due to difficulty in others (like Zelda: Breath of the Wild compared to the rest of the series).
Also, to be creative, Nintendo can come up with something new and different too, but a fully fledged open world Mario game, like Bowser’s Fury but 10 times bigger.
Different areas:
* A few types of plains and forests
* Desert (and savanna or canyon)
* Snow field/snowy mountains
* Jungle forest
* Different types of mountains
* Different types of beaches
* Maybe sky island and clouds to walk across
* A volcano
* Some ruins
The next step they should do is to do a better job representing all that exists in the Mario universe. I mean BOtW for example has a lot of stuff from different eras of the Zelda universe due to both it being somewhat of a celebration of the series' past, plus the idea of it being set far into hyrule's future is still somewhat valid, even considering TOtK's direction.
I mean, a game that actually has not just the immediate area of the Mushroom Kingdom but also features DK Island, incorporates Wario and Diamond City somehow (Wario and Waluigi being annoyances that periodically show up for example), among other familiar places would do just as good a job if not a better job than odessey did creating a coherent world map since odessey's greatest failing was to not take DK into account whatsoever outside of the Metro Kingdom.
9:00 Mario Galaxy had the Star Festival. Then its sequel had the Perfect Run.

I think you're under selling odyssey's after game stuff. There are the silver blocks on all the levels, that unlock many more moons. While some of them don't really add much to the game, there are plenty that add underground sections that you hadn't seen before. There was not a lot as far as story goes after that, but there was content.
I want the next 3D Mario to be a sandbox. It would be cool to see a TOFK/BOTW Mario title. Great video btw.

I kind of want it be like Wonder where you don't know what's going to happen. Like what if Bowser becomes an Earth Bender and shapes the World to his liking like Bowser land from 3D World or maybe he uses time travel and you have to go to all these places form the older games like Astro's playroom?

Thank you for addressing the Moon problem, that was my biggest problem with Odyssey and it gets extremely overlooked...
It'd be cool if, whenever you get a Power-Up, its abilities are permanently integrated into Mario's moveset, so that he can throws fireballs and ice balls whenever, and use a Raccoon Tail at will.
Also, I'd love to see his hammer in a game outside of the RPGs for the first time, y'know?

I'm just more hoping Bowser's Fury becomes the basis for the next 3D Mario game. Probably my favorite 3D Mario since Super Mario 64.
If Super Mario Odyssey is to be looked as the basis instead, then hopefully the missions are more "focused". I liked collecting stuff in games, but SMO's Power Moons felt too numerous and vapid that I felt little-to-no accomplishment finding most of them.

If I were Nintendo, I'd likely go the Super Mario Bros. Wonder route where every character plays the same, but have the option to toggle different movesets. That way people who find playing as different characters with their own strengths and weaknesses annoying or disorganized can simply turn it off.
I mean I know that it's gonna 7 years for Super Mario Odyssey next year but it would be cool to see a new open world or sandbox 3D game for Mario just like Super Mario Odyssey like having new worlds, new levels, new bosses, new playable characters, and new post games and it would be cool if the next new 3D Mario game did the same with Odyssey just spreading all the collectables around the whole area like collecting all power moons in different locations you know something like that. And for the bosses in the new 3D Mario game they could use The Koopalings or The Broodals and also having new original bosses but adding health bars now that would be cool for them to add for the bosses. And the playable Characters in the new 3D Mario Game can be Luigi, Peach, Toad, Rosalina, Yoshi, Wario, Daisy, Waluigi, and Toadette like adding all of those new characters and giving them new abilities would be cool for collecting collectables in the game. So yeah I can't wait to see what Nintendo has in store for this new 3D Mario game if it's sandbox or open world just like Super Mario Odyssey but I can't wait to see it.

I really liked mario galaxy final boss but I thought what you think of the bowser fights in odyssey. to me it was just the same bowser fight we already did two times already. but I still think it was awesome.

The next 3D Mario game needs this to be perfect: Improved cameras! Don't just use the same camera with the same FOV and zoom for everything. Every section should have its own camera just like Super Mario Galaxy.
I don't think the new 3D Mario game should add healthbars for bosses. It should just make the bosses take 4 to 6 hits to defeat instead of 3 and allow the player to use a more difficult strategy to beat it faster.
If they add more characters, make sure their movesets are similar enough so that it is not mandatory to switch characters constantly and make sure players can't make a challenge trivial by switching to a certain character.

Another big area of focus is the plot. I've been on Reddit lately, and a consensus I'm seeing is that the "rescue Peach from Bowser" trope is not only sexist and played out, but actively serves as a narrative shackle keeping Mario games from having great plots.
Maybe bowser kidnapped both peach and Daisy.
I really don't want different character with different moveset. Because then there is a lot of backtracking and the games feels by far less open. I want to do every move in every situation or in the most of the playtime.
I want a big map which of course has the Muhroom kingdom and the Koopa kingdom, but I want to see Delfino Island, Beanbean Kingdom, Kong Island, Yoshi Island, Flower Kingdom, Rougeport, Shooting Star summit, Luigi's Mansion, Kitchen Island, You Know a big map with like all the areas we explored before. I also want Fawful to be a boss in the Beanbean kingdom, and I want the Koopalings back and Bowser to be the final boss. Anyways, that was a godd vidio, and I agree with most of the facts, and I love to this type of video, but with Mario & Luigi, or Pikmin.
Like you said I want new characters with different abilites. For example Mario could be all around Luigi could jump high Peach could float momentarily toad could be speedy Rosalina could have a luma partner like palari from Mario galaxy toadette could have an attack related to her braids and Yoshi could flutter jump and spit and maybe it could have daisy and she could a double jump and warily could hit harder

Big wish for the next 3D Mario even though I doubt Nintendo will do it. Can we please finally have a new villain other than Bowser? I get that Bowser is the main antagonist in Mario but why does he have to be the main villain and final boss in every Mario game in the last 2 decades. Maybe Bowser and Mario would team up and you could actually play as Bowser and maybe even Bowser Jr or a Koopaling. Knowing Nintendo Bowser will be the main villain again and Bowser Jr would be a repeated mid boss.
