I think Tri-Brigade weapons uses the blue liquid to create a gas of some sort, only two of them don't use a gas mask: Ferrjitt, because she is a sniper and therefore out of the area of effect of her ammunitions' gas, and Kitt, who doesn't use them as she seems more related to springans lore wise. At least that would explain why only Ferrjitt and Kitt don't use a gas mask.
The Fallen of Albaz structure deck is what got me back into Yu-Gi-Oh! (I lost my old cards in a fire, and people at old school) It’s so nice hearing the lore behind these things

That does incite a bit of a brain teaser: Does this mean that Fleurdelis, the Knight named for a flower, had some connection to Felidgette the Fruitless Flower? the gas mask might be because of the blue ammo thingy, like it is kinda toxic in some way, which makes it more effective, a sniper would not need it that much being far away from the landing of the shots
I am late to the party but, let me give a bit of insight at the very least in the japanese name. I am greek so just so you know the japanese name also comes from the ancient greek coins also known as Drachma. This coins weren't only used comercially for goods and services, there was also a special derivitive of them also known as ovolos or talanto. It was something the was put in the mouths of the recently passed supposedly so that they could pay the ferryman to give them passage way to the "good" underworld. Else they would for ever be lost wandering the abyss of the underworld. I think just from that you can see the connection to the abyss of Dragma to the mythos of the ancient greek underworld from just that. They are those supposed miracles that come out from the abyss aka "tartara"(the way that the ancient greek underworld was named), which in the ancient greek mythos were spirits, knowledge and power that was bestowed to people that journeyed the underworld. Also of 'course there were many instances were when people came back from there they brought with them great curses and pleagues or allowed monsters to escape and bring destruction to the mortal world. When I see the Dragma archetype I see this fusion of ancient greek mythos, arthurian mythology and some norse mythology for good measure. Tri-brigades also do have this, since a lot of there monsters do derive from a combination of these three mythologies. Don't forget that nature spirits and mythical beasts were not only known of being connected to the underworld, but were also known to fear it and warn greatly about the missuse of the power that it can give you. You could even if you want to connect sprigguns to all this, since there are many myths of mechanical living beings that destroyed whole cities in there path like talos, the fire breathing mechanical bulls and the mechanical crows, eagles and golems that all these mythologies have a reference to. Though I think it is a bit of a strech for Sprigguns at least. I think that the creators were just funs of gurren laggann or something and wanted giants robots in their story. XD Though it does make me question if they actually thought about it, since all sprigguns are fire and hyphestos was known as the god of machines/ingenuity and of fire. Though I still think that they just wanted to put giant robots in the lore just for the heck of it. XD Anyway if you actually read my giant ass comment I thank you. ;p
Oooo, the Greek Mythology angle is one I never thought of! The Sprigguns thing is what gets me the most. While real Spriggans don't have anything to do with machines (as far as I can tell), if the Greek Mythology inclusions are purposeful, it could be, like, what a Spriggan would be like from that perspective, rather than a Cornish one. Thanks a million for sharing, this is super interesting!
@@GoldenNovaYugioh I think that the Sprigguns were mostly shoe horned in more than anything. XD It is kind of sus that they are fire/machine monsters though, if you want to see the hyphestous angle. So always keep your eye open on those mythos if you want a better understanding of how Konami designs cards and effects. Also on the part your were talking about "Dogmatika Nexus" it's OCG name is "Cardinal of Dogma TetraDragmation" the last word is a reference to the greek word "Drachmatia" which in modern greek is used in a way to convey promissed power, land, wealth or even owed debt through written/recorded proof. In mythos "Drachamatia" were used as contracts by gods, demons, spirits, nations and merchants as promises for future help, debt, forgivness for a crime and even as a way to make people yield to ones wishes. They were magical contracts in essence. I think that nexus in the story at the very least in not a gateway, but more like a phone line to the abyss. I think that this is how maximus gained the power of the stigmata. I belive it is a way to make a binding contract with the abyss rather than it being a gateway. The word "Stigmata" also comes from the Greek word "Stigma" which even in ancient and modern greek is used to convey the fact the you have an unatural blatant imperfection on your person, in your past/future or in your character. It is always used in a negative conotation, that you should do something about it to remove it if you can. A "Stigma" could be a scar, a deformity, a personality trait or even something the makes your life in general go to the worst. Also "Stigmata" is the plural version of "Stigma", so maybe this is reference that the Dragma have in general many issues/problems that need fixxing and revisions by their side. I am actually in general kind of suprised that they call them Dogmatika in the TCG. In Greek the word "Dogma" is a very heavy word it means people that gathered together in an organization under religious zeal. Dragma is a fussion of the word Dragon and of Drachma the coins. It's kind of uncharacteristic of Konami to use such strong words. Most of my friends here in Greece were saying the same thing. "Like wait a minute. Why do they call them Dogmatika? That is a very strong word deeply connected with religion. Like what the heck? Like this is actually a big radical change". I like it a lot, but I really don't know if it slipt there detection or what. Anyway one of the better name changes. Also thanks again if you read the whole thing. :p

I love your lore videos and great nod to Albaz's design by adding a . hack song. I love Albaz because he reminds me of Haseo! Thanks for getting me psyched back up to playing Yu-Gi-Oh! Keep it up mate!
Its really good to see this! As I too play Fallen of Albaz and absolutely love the artwork and lore they give off - it keeps me excited to see what they bring next with the cards linked to it. Also thanks for the series you've put together it adds to my speculation too lol
The moment I saw the text in the video, I immediately thought, "would be a shame if he does not use dark souls music", two seconds later and my guy did not disappoint. Gotta drop a like for great lore and great editing.
Dogmatika comes off as the original Yu-Gi-Oh players dream. Having a deck that basically gives the middle finger to the extra deck which, stereotypically, they hate
Amazing video as always brother. Dogmatika, Tri Brigade and Fallen of Albaz always had my interest and curiosity in terms of lore. And I say you did a phenomenal job on breaking them down in the timeline. Archetypes that have lore revolved around them always make them special along with the monsters associated with them. And assist them.
I actually own a fallen of albaz deck! I bought 3 structure decks strung them together for the low price of 34 bucks. Very good deck. Very good lore behind all cards. And a 1 percent chance of a terrible hand. So very good investment and im glad you dug into the lore more. You have my sub and like! Thank you!
I guess I have found the absolutely right channel for me. I love the Yugioh card lore but it's really hard to get information about this. Great analysis and theory of the card lore I will definitely watch the other videos too.
I thought at the beginning that you're explaining things all over the place, but then the music starts and everything align Pretty good explanation dude!
i think the reason for the blue tattered cloth might mean that the land that they comes from there are different forces, and the blue tattered cloth would mean that they are on the same team
The Albaz-Strike deck brought me here, bcs of the art style and my sympathy towards the deck in general. And I had to stay bcs of the lore. Awesome video dude. 😎🤙🏼
I know they are an older archetype but is there anyway you could do the Endymion/prophecy lore that's connected to the Invoked and aleister lore. I love these darker lore stories and world legacy is the main one on TH-cam so far. Great content, subbed.
@@GoldenNovaYugioh due to your coverage of this story line, and the fact that dark souls is my favorite game franchise this archetype became my favorite Yu-Gi-Oh archetype period.
13:40 The blue motif in tri brigade might just be a tie in to the fact that they are a link based archetype. It's a very similar shade of blue to the blue of links.
Are they the only four achetypes revolving this lore? Planning to build decks in Master Duel from achetypes within a lore (ex. World Legacy, created Crusadia-Mekk-Knight/Orcust-Mekk-knight deck for ranked climbing) and I'd like to know if they are the only 4, are the main and support cards are already in the game or not? Thank you so much!
Yeah, I thought that the Eldlich card 'Eldorlando' was going to be peak Dark Souls, but Dragma really knocked it out of the park. And I'm glad you like the music choices!
Hmmm as a mtg player who's also a returning yugioh player: I appreciate the connection of each cards abilities and how it plays a part in telling a story. It's pretty cool
Goddamn you've made me care more about this series than I ever really did. I wish there was further external media for the lore. Like I'd love a series of short stories or manga
I think albaz turned into his beast form by combining with the dying tri member with the deer mask and his anger see the maiden who saved him, getting hurt by the "people" she worked with.
I'm done making decks revolving World Legacy lore. I found out this video just now and learned that Tri-Brigade/Dogmatika have a wide lore. Time to make lore accurate decks with them
The new dogmatika card "Dogmatika Genesis" shows Ecclesia kneeling infront of Maximus, and hes either forgiving her, or shunning her in the kingdom or church
I think the thing with the tri-brigade is the fact that they all fly in the air and Pilots keep masks so they can get oxygen so that's probably what that is
Keras (κέρας) means horn in Greek. It is a reference to a literary image from ancient Greek and Latin literature, first found in the Odyssey, where dream spirits (Oneiroi, singular Oneiros) are divided between those who deceive men with false visions, who arrive to Earth through a gate of ivory, and those who announce a future that will come to pass, who arrive through a gate of horn. It's a play on the words κέρας (horn) / κραίνω (fulfill), and ἐλέφας (ivory) / ἐλεφαίρομαι (deceive) Might help
Okay, here what i think happened, Albaz fell out from the portal, and was found by the church and was sent on trial, and was sentence to be tribute to the nexus by commend of max. But instead Albaz out confusing and fear active his power and fused with the nexus and became the steel dragon and try to get away or something. You can try and see if this works for this lore storyline.
I just got into yugioh. My step brother has been really into it, so i got a Albaz Strike structure deck. Its been a long ride, and watching this video... im very glad that I got it. Ive always been into lore
I think it is about time Yu-Gi-Oh gives there cards a story/lore magic the gathering has been doing forever good job konmi and thank you for making these videos extremely entertaining 😁
interestingly another thing is that fleur is 2500 like the fusions and ecclesia is 1500 like albaz but when they are together and they attack they each get a 500 boost making them strong enough to defeat the other in battle when having the "moral support of another dogmatika in battle
I knew there was some big story going on with the dogmatika and albaz and tribrigade, but this video really helped identify the connecting lines between it all. I love it.
What I found interesting was the striking parallels between Aleister the Invoker and Fallen of Albaz. • Both are one card fusions • Both takes the properties of the source of where they take their power from Which leads me to think that Aleister might have encountered some Dogmatika influence for the forming of Invoked Mechaba (mainly because of the shared character design). And also being that they were both given beastial forms when in contact with a human instead (in Aleister's case he was given Caliga as a result of self experimentation, and in Fallen of Albaz' case he was given Brigand from his contact with Ecclesia). Although, Aleister's interaction was relative to Attributes, I believe Fallen of Albaz' interaction is relative to a monsters Type. One important note too: I just watched your video regarding True Dracos and True Kings, and something clicked. Zefra pendulum monsters possesses the attributes of their counterparts outside the archetype, much like Luster Pendulum having a mutualistic relationship with others, and Lector Pendulum's powers were more of parasitic if not absorbing, much like Aleister's and Fallen of Albaz', which happens for all three of them to be all DARK attributed monsters, which I believe to be non-coincidental. Zefras were at war with the Infernoids, so there could be a link here as well.
You can faintly see the Sprigguns XYZ lvl8 monster the Ship Exblower at 6:07 coming out of the red clouds. Could be wrong, but it seems as if a ship is emerging
Yeah, now that you mention it...I had though it was a different draconic form of Albaz, but now that we have Sprigguns to look at, it does have kind of a ship vibe...Maybe the version of Albaz we have now, Splind? That's a really good catch, thanks bringing it up!

That's a pretty good theory!
this is so awesome thank you so much, I look forward to seeing the next video after the next few sets!
Me too! Thank you for the compliment, and I can't wait to see what this tale has in store for us.
The Albaz-Strike deck brought me here, bcs of the art style and my sympathy towards the deck in general. And I had to stay bcs of the lore. Awesome video dude. 😎🤙🏼
This is why these arc types became my favorite arc types in yugioh
I know they are an older archetype but is there anyway you could do the Endymion/prophecy lore that's connected to the Invoked and aleister lore. I love these darker lore stories and world legacy is the main one on TH-cam so far. Great content, subbed.
I'll keep it in mind! Thank you very much!
@@GoldenNovaYugioh hey you....you got any of that uh... Aleister lore?...
*scratches chin*
A little bit! I've covered a bit of the Aleister/Endymion stuff in Magistus explained, but for now, that's all I've got xD
Bruh ever heard of the duel terminal lore? Shits the OG dark Lore
@@GoldenNovaYugioh due to your coverage of this story line, and the fact that dark souls is my favorite game franchise this archetype became my favorite Yu-Gi-Oh archetype period.
"Stories in Yu-Gi-Oh are fascinatingly vague, with flavor text relegated to normal monsters"
"Check THIS out!" - A random Mekk-Knight maybe
Will
NEVER
*FORGIVE…*
13:40 The blue motif in tri brigade might just be a tie in to the fact that they are a link based archetype. It's a very similar shade of blue to the blue of links.
Cyan Company… Called to action!
A great video, thanks fot putting in the work! Loved the gloomy dragon age music in the background!
Using music from Dark Souls really was the perfect touch for this video
Absolutely!
The Dark Souls music is ABSURDLY fitting for this video, given the whole vibes of the Abyss lore
4:45 “Considering our next actor in this performance” nice Phychic powers dude
I heard that Hulle Granz Cathedral music and instantly knew this series was gonna be a banger
This video made me start collecting all the albaz lore cards. I'm close to completion
When you thought World Chalice Lore is crazy, then here comes the Dogmatikas, Albaz, Despia and Swordsoul.
@@rivershen677 Tri-brigade is also part of the lore, but I don't know if it synergizes well with the other archetypes.
By the way awesome job narrating this, usually when people create lore videos they never turn out this well.
Thank you, that means a lot! Hopefully I can keep this up for the next one xD
Their designs remember me of Dark Souls
By the way, good choice of music.
Yeah, I thought that the Eldlich card 'Eldorlando' was going to be peak Dark Souls, but Dragma really knocked it out of the park.
And I'm glad you like the music choices!
@@GoldenNovaYugioh Yup, I'll totally gonna get them, plus I'm a big Dark Souls fan haha.
I did, the Fire Link theme is one of my favorites :)
Beat me too it! Wholeheartedly agree haha.
A year late but same reason I was drawn to this archetype as a hardcore DS player
Hmmm as a mtg player who's also a returning yugioh player: I appreciate the connection of each cards abilities and how it plays a part in telling a story. It's pretty cool
I think that the mass in nadir servant might in fact be aluber, because of the text for his unmasked token.
Yo respect for using the dragon age theme!
These lore videos are so good. Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much, will do!
Goddamn you've made me care more about this series than I ever really did. I wish there was further external media for the lore. Like I'd love a series of short stories or manga
Agreed, that kind of stuff would be so choice. Like, there is a huge light novel industry, and we don't have a SINGLE one for YGO Lore? That's wild...
your voice is so suited for reading and narrating. I love your voiceeeee ❤💙💙💙
Thank you, that compliment means so much 😭😭😭
Now we must make him audition for voice acting
You'll never take me alive!
This was soooooooo good love what you did can’t wait for the next vid
Thanks a million! Glad you enjoyed, and I can't wait for more lore to dig into!
I love hearing you talking about these lores and I'm rewatching this now. I was wondering why I wasn't subbed? We changing that real quick.
I'm glad you've been enjoying! Thank you for your support!
Best Yu-Gi-Oh lore arc by far.
"Our next actor in this performance" - Excellent foreshadowing
That opening made me thought you were talking about Made in Abyss
Well, it DOES take place in a land called the ABYSS, and the story is MADE there, so...it's not ENTIRELY off base xD
The hack GU cathedral OST was on point
What a surprise the church being the real bad guys
Absolute Shocker. Never been done before.
@@GoldenNovaYugioh Even the bible warns people about them.
Time to make lore accurate decks with them
Wooooohhh!! Coming here from Master Duel and it's so funnnn
I made an Albaz Dogmatika deck ready for climbing :D
The new dogmatika card "Dogmatika Genesis" shows Ecclesia kneeling infront of Maximus, and hes either forgiving her, or shunning her in the kingdom or church
That is not eclesiás
That's not ecclesia that's the white dogmatika the ritual monster.
@@r3zaful so similar they could fool the people…
I think the thing with the tri-brigade is the fact that they all fly in the air and Pilots keep masks so they can get oxygen so that's probably what that is
Keras (κέρας) means horn in Greek. It's a play on the words κέρας (horn) / κραίνω (fulfill), and ἐλέφας (ivory) / ἐλεφαίρομαι (deceive)
Might help
@GoldenNovaYugioh. 12:11 by the way what brought the tri-bridges there at the exact moment and why would they defend albaz or fight the dokmatikas
interestingly another thing is that fleur is 2500 like the fusions and ecclesia is 1500 like albaz but when they are together and they attack they each get a 500 boost making them strong enough to defeat the other in battle when having the "moral support of another dogmatika in battle
The fire link shrine music at the start was a top notch choice
I knew there was some big story going on with the dogmatika and albaz and tribrigade, but this video really helped identify the connecting lines between it all. I love it.
The dark souls 1 theme fits this so good
love the dot hack music good touch
I have bounced around from what I called my ace card then I came across my Boi fallen the way I clicked with how he works
The music is beautiful! Just like this lore.
Made an Albaz deck for Fusion Festival
After a trip to Yugipedia I HAD to watch these!
The fact that Dogmatika Nexus is DRAGON-SHAPED…
konami could've licensed out the entire abyss lore to like a trilogy of AAA JRPG, god damn they'd make so much money lmao
I love the field spell art !!!!!!
It's like a freaking painting, it's so gorgeous!
guys check out the eyes in the cloud at @ 11:46 or am I tripping? makes me feel like they were being watched
What I found interesting was the striking parallels between Aleister the Invoker and Fallen of Albaz.
• Both are one card fusions
• Both takes the properties of the source of where they take their power from
Which leads me to think that Aleister might have encountered some Dogmatika influence for the forming of Invoked Mechaba (mainly because of the shared character design). One important note too:
I just watched your video regarding True Dracos and True Kings, and something clicked.
Oooo!
Ooooo, that's good! If we get an Aleister connection confirmation, I'm gonna flip my lid! Thank you for sharing!
@@GoldenNovaYugioh yeah, I just double checked it, and even the new Dogmatika Ritual Monster backs this up. You're welcome. 😁
This Needs to be in Master Deul Solo mode
You talk about the abyss and put in a dark souls theme. Well done that fits.
This has probably been one of my favorites, and a big reason is definitely the soundtrack! I'm glad you liked!
Dogmatika always gave me a Dark Souls vibe idk why
the dark souls music was the perfect touch.
That's a really good catch, thanks bringing it up!
i miss berserk this was basically a modified story of one of the greatest manga ever written. rest in peace Miura
Dogma gives me dark souls vibes
Same here! Ancient, somber clergy-knights, dedicated to a bleak cause, ruled by forces beyond their understanding. It just fits!
@@GoldenNovaYugioh so well and no one can change my mind that their field spell gives of anor londo vibes
You got me fucked up. At 11:50 you start playing the melancholy music from .hack G.U?!!! My fav game ever lmaooo
Hulle Granz Cathedral. You got me fucked up frrr
It fits TOO WELL! Always fun to see people recognize it!
@@GoldenNovaYugioh I’m glad I was correct but great video. The song was too perfect
i love how you use the dark souls music for this too
mmm YUM dat dragon age origin camp background music, hawt af! x
This is the best lore since world chalice
Now that we have aluber we can see that the fallen is coming out of one of the portals related to aluber thicken the plot
