Regarding the hutch in the largest room, you could get small tension rods and make curtains to cover the area without cupboard doors.
Or you could measure what size cupboard doors you are missing and go to Home Depot or Lowe's or wherever and get unfinished ones and paint them to match...not very spendy! Very nice apartment!

Love the hutch in the bedroom and the Anaglypta wallpaper. Lots of reproductions of those raised paper styles today! Well-loved in the older homes.
Anaglypta literally means “ ornament” and was first discovered during the 1800s and has adapted ever since. Essentially anaglypta is a paintable type that is usually thick in texture to allow any paint to take.

Love this!! I live in the SOMA area beside Mission Bay. It's interesting to learn of rent in different areas of SF and also what your apartment looks like. Our townhouse is newer, so don't have the character you have but we own and are happy that there is less maintenance. :)
Love the apartment 💜very light and airy. I’m a big fan of the Victorian details; the woodwork around your bedroom is a plate rail.

Your apartment is so cute I'm obsessed!! I grew up in the east bay and have been wanting to move to the city for the longest time but post-grad life during covid times isn't easy haha...here's to hoping I can make that dream a reality soon! 🤞
Love your apartment. Maybe you could add some really simple sheers or fabric over the missing door area of the hutch. Use a tiny tension rod or hooks or even velcro. That way you could still access them but you're not seeing into them.

Beautiful apartment. The tile that you and your roommates tiled over with the white tile in the living room on the fireplace, sounds like it was probably tile that was original to the house. Did your landlord approve that? Is she going to ask you to take it off and make sure that the original tile is ok? Just wondering. It does look nice though!

Thanks for the apartment tour. It’s a nice and clean apartment. I’m not sure the price you’re paying. I’m sure you got a good deal. My daughter used to live in SF in her college year but fled to the Big Apple NY. I’m glad you ladies are not leaving the city like the other people. I’m happy you have the luxury to work from home. Very nice apartment in San Francisco! Especially with your own laundry room (I assume the washer-dryer came with the apartment). The owner could have bought one of those washer-dryer combos instead. You pay for PG&E--how about garbage pick up and water? Do you have parking? It's still a very very nice apartment.
