I’d love for you to come to Australia. We have so much diversity it would be an interesting experience for you. Just do yourself a favour and go off the beat’n path to find the real experience.
The kid with the sax is the EXACT reason these programs need to be a standard in schools everywhere. THis kid is motivated and excited to learn and play. Take that away from him he wont have much else to keep him out of trouble probably.
This is why I enjoy your videos, no matter how polarized the environment you treat everyone with respect and let their voices be heard. Glad that SF is cleaning up and hopefully not just on the streets.
They've power washed sidewalks and cleaned streets for 40 years or more. I was there in the 90s and it's very clean and gentrified now, especially compared to back then. Sacramento and Stockton are what people think San Francisco is.
Peter is the kind of guy to walk up to the city worker and tell him how good of a job they are doing respect man don’t see a lot of TH-camrs doing that !
Workers know workers. A lot think they work when they're on their zoom meetings and working from home lol Workers are in short supply here in the States. They deserve to be thanked
No most TH-camrs will “prank” them or make them feel uncomfortable. A lot, no all, but it’s sad. Thank God we got guys like Peter who make people feel valuable. Peter deserves every ounce of notoriety he’s got.
That young man with the sax had me in tears I a good way. Stay safe young man and keep it up!! I love SF. I have been going my whole life, my kids their whole lives, we haven’t stopped going. I’ve been 6 times in the past year and going again next month for the holidays. I’ll never stop going to the City, it is a magical city no matter what. Thank you for showing the real perspective. Is it rough in places? Yes. But it will always hold my heart.
The city worker lady is amazing, she actually drove me home 2 nights ago when I was drunk, lost my friends and my phone was dead I had 0 way of getting home. I gladly paid her for her help, never thought I’d see her again. This is pretty surreal to see we need more good people like her in the world.
@@KING-MUFFASA or maybe they had an unusually high number of drinks for some personal occasion or in celebration of a friend achieving something they had been working towards and being unfamiliar with that level of inebriation made a few mistakes. You actually don’t have any idea what you are talking about and your comment says so much more about you and your possible discomfort with your place in the hierarchy you perceive exists in society. The more interesting question is what does your judgmental response fill or cover up in your own life that makes you feel inferior or a need to criticize someone? Is it so you can escape a feeling of being less than and feign superiority of character? If not, are we really to believe you made this comment out of your Good Samaritan attitude and actual concern for a stranger’s well being, King?
@@thayerpayne wow, you're the only one throwing judgements. He made a statement that is probably true considering SHE SAID she drank so much she lost her friends and didn't have a way home. Sorry, but special occasion or not, that's irresponsible. Maybe he's right and she should stop drinking so she doesn't put herself in harms way.
Yeah, I think people are generally good to each other when you don't have politics and socioeconomic headaches getting in the way. Wish we could always just prioritize being good to each other.
This was an incredible week for us in SF, we voted out the crazy BoS, the lame duck major, across the bay our neighbors in Alameda did the same to their DA and Oakland also removed their corrupt mayor. The people of california are united in moving forward and removing these crazy ideas about not punishing crime and allowing anything to take place. 70% of California agreeing on anything is incredible.
Yeah but a major loss also, out of towner plants voted to close the Great Highway and next is changing the zoning in the Sunset and Outer Richmond for high rise buildings, the fight is not over.
@beatsbyjiro8291 hope the citizens vote no .Here in MA the governor took thr city of Milton to court because MA government wants to add 10 % low income high density housing to this small leafy upper middle class town of good schools and low crime statistics .Folks are still fighting the governor and Soros DA in court
@@beatsbyjiro8291 sorry but if housing prices don't come down in california the state will continue on its decline, crime will continue to increase as will homelessness
Calimate. Man what a young spirit. There’s something in that kids demeanor that will take him so damn far if he’s got guidance and great people around him. Speaking greatly to people he’s never met. A young honesty to people he’s never ever met and you can tell he listens. I pray for that kid for his safety and his love for his craft.
Maybe someone can help with his saxophone skills, help him match his skill level with his confidence level. No hate though, everyone has to start somewhere, just need some direction and help along the way 🤷♂️ . A fee spare reeds probably wouldn't hurt either.
I live in Stockton, about 1.5 hours from San Francisco. It has always been one of my favorite cities. In recent years, the experience in the touristy areas hasn't been fantastic, but I always love going to Presidio, Marshall's Beach....the walk from Aquatic Park, through the Marina, past the Palace of Fine arts, through Crissy Field, ending upon the beauty of the Golden Gate; Even if it's shrouded in fog. The wonderful strolls through Golden Gate Park. All to end the day at my favorite Ramen restaurant of all time - Izakaya Sozai. Lots of people on Instagram who don't even live in California like to talk badly about SF. However, the city is more than what the media or "influencers" show us on social media. It is a beautiful city, with good, hardworking people. I am so pleased you highlighted as true a San Francisco as you could.
I was born in San Francisco. I miss it. The neighborhoods, Golden Gate park, fresh sourdough, cable cars, the fog, art, ballet, Candlestick park, riding my bike across the Golden Gate bridge, everything San Francisco! Thank you for the memories!❤
I don't know how old you are, but I moved out here 25 years ago, and the Presidio was kind of a forgotten dump. It's absolutely beautiful now! It's worth trying to take a trip back here if you can just to see how the Presidio has changed!
@@Bramble451My kids took dance classes at the Presidio and George Lucas moved his studios in there which definitely brought some nice activities to the area.
It was Americas coolest city for a long time, on par w/ Paris London or Tokyo. I used to vacation there but its not a place for middle class,& they need to quit coddling drug addicts.
@ yes, but has it improved? I live there from 2001-December 2023 & I saw more and more bars, small businesses and restaurants closing. I’m wondering if things are stabilizing, or if there is still for lease signs everywhere, and not just in the FiDi?
Lived in this town 50+ years in the Richmond. Work at Civic Center. Thank you for showing it like it is. Not the way the soon to be ex-mayor and chamber of commerce would have people believe
My family & I have visited SF about half a dozen times but would not dare visit the area again since all the crap that’s been happening there. Sure glad it’s getting better and would love to visit the beautiful SF area again when its cleaned up once again. Thanks for the insightful video.
Bay Area and SF resident - thank you for making this video. Covid and drugs have really set back much of America - it is great seeing the resilience of SF and the greatness of SF. Cheers.
You really captured the essence of the city, showing both its beauty and challenges!❤ I love how you explore what it's really like to experience it now-this gives such a genuine perspective. Thanks for sharing this unique view of SF! 🌉❤
Man, I hope an area musician with a heart to teach sees this and the kid with the tenor sax. He's motivated and has a stellar attitude. Thanks Peter for highlighting him and for another amazing video. Glad to see some light coming back to a very dark place the past few years.
I just watched the Quincy Jones Bio Doc for the fourth time. When I saw that young sax player I thought Quincy would have taken him in in any way he could. What a spirit, and the sax will follow.
My family has been in SF since the 1800’s. We helped build the bridges and roads. I’m older now and live about 45 minutes north of the city but I still love to go into the city and feel the history of my family there.
@@xcalibertrekker6693nobody any other country would ask you that as voting is a personal and private matter. Weird how Americans live in their own bubble and don’t get to see the rest of the world where we have real freedom, 28/30 paid holidays from work and paid even when on sick leave. Free healthcare and you can walk without looking over your shoulder. There’s nothing free about the USA and god help you and your new president elect. 😂. 😊
Peter, I would like to thank you for an awesome video of this great city. I've lived her my entire life and at age 71, I can still drive or take BART to the city and see something different every single time. I get so tired of hearing people (who probably never have been to S.F.) bash it and make crazy negative comments about it. Not only are there many different areas to visit and see diversity, there is no end to the different experiences it offers such as music, restaurants, museums, parks, hiking, shopping and so much more. Thank you again.
I currently live in the city, I work in the city. There's human shit on the corner and on every sidewalk in downtown especially near the tenderloin. Yes. It is a great city that has a rich diversity of culture, food, and entertainment. But be honest, its too expensive for business, the homeless problem is massive, and its especially bad and unsafe on Van Ness and 5th after dark. If we can't accept that shit has gone wrong we can't fix it. I cannot tell you the level of fear I experience when I am walking down the sidewalk and the street cleaner comes by because Im horrified it's going to kick up a used needle in my direction. We should clean up our city so we can enjoy it and share it again.
@@crystal5135 Thank you for honesty comments. Not many comments accepted the facts that San Francisco infamous with homeless and drugs. I live in the North Bay but don’t have the guts to visit San Francisco.
It always amazes me how open Americans are. Some random dude with a camera asks you really personal questions and people tell their life stories. And they make jokes and remarks with other rando's they see on the street. In Europe (or in The Netherlands at least) you're lucky to get a "good day" back when you greet someone in the cities.
I think Americans have much better conversational skills with strangers than British and Europeans. It comes so natural for them where it feels more forced and awkward with us.
@@brothertspoon5899 It's legit the whole of the country lol, infact you will still find much more open people in more rural cities than sf or ny any day

I've traveled to 30+ countries. San Francisco is absolutely one of the most memorable, beautiful, and interesting cities ever! All the haters should look into themselves and analyze why they got so much hate in them. And I bet the vast majority of them have never even been to SF. Absolutely a must visit place! P.S. Never listen to the haters.
Claimante is a good kid with personable character and honest personality. Keep up the good work with your music and keep making friends and connections with people who will lift you up and not drag you down. I really want more people like him to thrive and rebuild the spirit of SF.
I’m a San Francisco resident and you are right- San Francisco has the buzz back. It’s becoming better and better each day since the pandemic. ❤Thank you for sharing your optimism and seeing through all the bad media and seeing what SF really is. With Amazing people and beauty everywhere 🤍🌾🌊 Thank you!!!
You r right ! I live in the east bay …..rode on BART for years to union square and the ferry building. I miss coming over there….this video was great ! I do believe I will be coming back for my visits soon ! This video beats anything the fake media puts out ! The truth sets u free ! 🇺🇸
I don't know if you would agree with me or not, but I would say that life in the city right now is just in a different place. It's out in the neighborhoods rather than centered around Union Square.
We visited San Francisco 7 yrs ago from England. What a beautiful city it was! Its my favourite place I've ever visited! Hoping the problems can be sorted out, so the residents of this great place can live in peace, and harmony again! 🇬🇧🇬🇧
It ebbs and flows. The 70's was a terrible time there just like NYC. The hippies had a lot to do with that. Then the Gays/Yuppies came in and things got better. Now it's the bleeding heart rich liberals.
@@erikh9991 Yeah with the hippies, the CIA eventually dispersed much stronger drugs and bussed in junkies, which changed the scene in SF and life there became untenable for the hippies, so they left to create communes out in the country. And then women saw that they were still getting a raw deal so most of the hippies ended up rejoining mainstream society.
Peter - I am from the Bay Area and used to love to visit the city. Your content has inspired me and I have so much hope. Thank you for presenting the diversity and beauty of the city. Great job, as you always do!
I've lived in San Francisco since 78. I've seen and lived through changes. By far the epidemic hurt this town severely.. We were too vested in Tech, which fellout. Your video and interviews were good to hear. The city is coming back-there's a lot to love about this place. Thank you!
All that money, did create large wealth gaps in wages from poor to rich, and homeless/drugs. Expect to see that with any large city be it whatever sided politics, I do know people love to be ruled by their own politics and they don't care for what mess their own politics makes; be it, texas, florida, they also have these issues.
@@koilamaoh4238 Well yes homelessness and the drug fetynolc is a problem throughoutc the US (and the world). SF is attractive to homrless because of weather. helping the homeless, (housing, feeding etc). We have many vacant business highrises due to tech leaving. New business is slowly returning downtown and some buildings are being converted to housing. It takes time and money.
Why did I tear up hearing that lil boy play. Something just so wholesome when the kids stayed still at a park to listen. I needed that today ❤❤ definitely hope to see SF one day.
@@lollafala2949 I just wrote one comment above yours that I had tears too. We might be living parallel lives - I'm mostly bedridden as well. Videos like this is getting out for me.
Born and raised in Scotland, I've travelled much of the World and I moved to San Francisco around 1990. It is an incredibly diverse and energetic and conflicted city in every way you can possibly think of. The contrasts are palpable and visceral. As with any large city around the world, it has its share of intractable problems and challenges, but with those comes a willingness to be open and supportive of new ideas and new people. The city has always been a Mecca for the counter-culture and the new tech concepts alike. As your video showed very well, the are absolutely stunningly gorgeous neighborhoods, parks, ocean beaches, and Bay walks, contrasted with micro-neighborhoods of ethnic and cultural diversity which energizes this tiny world-class city that has some of the best ethnic food, some of the best street fairs and parties, and some of the newest innovations in the world. With that, it also suffers from boom and bust economies from various industries, and both COVID and the move to internet shopping that makes it very difficult for brick and mortar stores to make a living. The one thing San Francisco always seems able to do, as the Phoenix rising from the flames is their very apt symbol, is to reinvent itself and survive. I've lived here around forty years and LOVE this city, despite some of the challenges of it. I always look forward to returning to San Francisco when I travel, and I always look forward to showing off the city to visitors. The city also does a LOT to try to resolve some of the most difficult issues of drug use, homelessness, crime, and so on - which I greatly appreciate. Great and very well balanced video on San Francisco from my personal perspective. Thank you.
Well defined appraisal of SF...unique place...almost enchanting. I bet some of those folk who go there are similar to the G;Glastonbury type...not exactly the same...but with ideas of change...ideals...and these infuse with existing bubbles of people's lives...and their ways of living...almost like an ever simmering melting out...something a little different being constantly added...infusing the whole with small and sometimes big changes...amidst tussles between cultures...then some micro communities...steady eddies...resilient, with little change...reflected in the sea weather with its steadfast winds, tides, and sea air and mists...but from time to time...storms and unprecedented acts of nature. Maybe SF has always been some kind of hub...where cultures and ideas can seek change whereas other cities could not allow them to grapple with the mainstream ideas...so much of it is always in flux...illuminating the micro-neighbourhoods that are not dissimilar to the pebbles on the beech...much more resistant to change...a REAL MIX. I wonder if the spirit senses it needs to go WEST to find wisdom...at one time it was the EAST??????
Well stated Ken. San Francisco is a dynamic city. It evolves everyday. I always hear old timers like to reminisce and deride that it is not what it used to be. But that is the beauty of this place! It is not stagnating and decaying when change is constant, and at times at a rapid pace. This city can be hard on those who can’t keep up with the speed of changes though.
Peter, I'm a bay area resident and have always loved SF. Your video warmed my heart. Been visiting SF since the 70's and always felt it was a privilege to live near such a historic and beautiful city. Your video was incredible. Thank you for you re-visit to SF..

Native San Franciscan here. I moved out of the city during Covid, but still work in SOMA. My heart will always be here. I've seen many old San Francisco restaurants close, people leave, and crime escalate. I hope this jewel of a city will shine again bright someday. Thank you for the video.
This really brings back the San Francisco I loved back in the late 60's & early 70's; thank you SO much, Peter, and all the wonderful people you spoke with.
Peter Awesome job being an example for the youth. The boy with the sax approached the officer and said he was scared of them but then took your lead and thanked him for his service when y’all left them❤ good stuff. Our officers need all the love they can get.
Lived in SF for 16 years during my 20's & 30's, it will always be home. Rent controlled flat in The Marina the last 10 years, 2br huge flat and rent only went up $300 the whole time I lived there. Always appreciated the diversity of all the different areas, and the amazing food options all over the city. Glad to see conditions are improving! Thanks for the adventure, Peter.
Idaho resident here. I will l never forget visiting San Francisco in the early 70's. Stayed with some friends of friends in what looks like the Mission District. Went to a Chinese restaurant in a run down part of town. The restaurant itself was a dive and drunks were sitting outside on the steps. But boy was that food good. I've never tasted anything so amazing.
I’m from L.A. and I love visiting San Fran. The Bay Area is beautiful and I appreciate all the good people that stayed and are bringing glory back to the city. My baby is at Berkeley Law and i’ll be visiting real soon. Stay beautiful, San Francisco.
Canadian who lived in SF South Beach for 5 years, and now living in Paris. SF is a world class city that will always hold a very special place in my heart! I really hope the city keeps getting better.
Paris is the Jewel of Western Europe. I am a born San Franciscan, but Paris has maintained itself much, much better than SF. London Breed, the MTA and self serving supervisors have closed Market Street, created all these closed to traffic slow streets, closed JFK in Golden Gate Park so nobody disabled, old or whatever can't access the museums/CAS/Tea Garden and now they voted the Great Highway closed. A highway that people use to get in and out of the SF. They are limiting access to those areas of the city for themselves, reducing access to those areas that's why there are no people there.
Love Peter and these videos! I live in LA but I have probably never visited a city more special than SF. There is just something indescribable about the vibe of that city and it is jaw droppingly beautiful glimmering in that special air. Can’t wait to see you again, San Francisco! ❤
It's actually really cool to have a video where Peter is not the stranger in the town and can offer us his own perspective and personal experiences of the area! ❤
Peter thank you for coming back to San Francisco. I have been watching your TH-cam blog for years. I live 20 minutes south of the city and to be honest haven’t been to San Francisco since before pandemic. We hope that the new mayor cleans up the city so tourists can come back. Look forward to another video❤

That little old lady with the Pink Hat is a historian of San Francisco she is known as Funky Mama. Wow, that bought back memories. I remember her from years ago, when my parents use to take us downtown when San Francisco was clean and good. That's amazing to see that she is still kicking. I mean everyone has tales about her. I think that she suffers from mental illness.

Maybe more open and talkative? We do work a lot of hours here, so the people you see and talk to on the street are the ones that aren't off in a rush to be somewhere.
We visited SF in the week that this was filmed. Peter has reflected our experience of the city VERY accurately. There is so much content out there designed to get views that is NOT an accurate reflection. We stayed on the edge of the Tenderloin towards Union Square and while you see some desperately unfortunate people it’s part of the city that should not put you off. The city is fabulous. The vibe, the light, the diversity, the people. Go.
Well it is all just a political talking point... Keep voting the way you do.... blah blah blah.... They point out the worst, pretend that is all there is, and use it to scare stupid people into voting red. And as you can see with your own eyes, that has not had a positive effect on coal country or the deep south, ever.
When I first moved to SF I walked through the Tenderloin at 6 am on my way to work and a pimp harassed me for being on his block. In addition, he offered/threatened to make me his ho. I stared straight ahead and got away from his block as quickly as possible.
Forgive the spelling. Kalamante what a great kid. Very respectful, seems to have his head screwed on and has confidence. Keep doing what you are doing kid. Also respect to the officer. Thats exactly what a police offer should be like. Engaging and listening. Also encouraging the young lad to introduce himself to officers in the park and not be afraid. Great vid as always Peter
San Francisco was one of my favorite cities back in the late 70s. I was part of a flight crew with eastern airlines and our layovers. were the absolute best…🎉🎉🎉
I have been visiting SF on and off for the last 30 plus years. Was just there with my family in July, I am telling you that the city is back, it is vibrant and we feel safe walking around. After traveling four continents and half the US, SF is truly beautiful and special.
Lived in SF for almost 20 years, there is nothing like it. Traveling from one mile to the next to be in completely differently vibes, racial, economic, social, etc. i found your past videos over the past couple of years to be very depressing. So glad that things are looking up for SF. With a new Mayor on his way in, prop 36 passed, $ for green energy, schools, etc. Driverless car’s abundant. The communities coming together to finally change things around, donating their free time to do good. Every city has its ups and downs however SF often flips fast. It is a dynamic reflection point. Dreams are made in this city ❤. Thanks for sharing. This made me so happy to see. The future is looking bright
What struck me, is how super articulate all of these people were. They're like coastal counterparts to Bostonians, only a bit more approachable. Another great video Peter!
You hit the nail on the head. I am a 4th generation Bostonian, and 33 year resident of SF, who agrees 100%. San Francisco is the Boston of the west coast, as Los Angeles is the New York.
@@raj8294 I will say people here tend to embrace education but they end up indoctrinated too. Ah well, there's good and bad in everything. Enjoyed your video as always Peter, thank you. As someone from the UK who struggles to understand US politics much of the time, your videos and takes bring some realism to the usual online dramatics we see. I travelled Europe myself and saw extremes of poverty and riches, we need more people like yourself showing the middle ground struggling humans.
Thank you for showing the contrast, so many TH-camrs come to California and show the worst intersection and try to insert that view as the one that fully represents the city.
European here. I visited SF in the summer of 2023 with my family. The city feels kinda "European", which was surprising. We noticed some more dodgy people around several area's but nothing shocking. The best thing was just to walk around the city, preferably away from the center to feel what this place is all about. Loved the parks also. I'd definitely visit again!
I know what you mean, had the same feeling when I first visited SFO in the early 2010s. A couple of years later I visited Lisbon and the two cities are so damn similar😅 Built on a bunch of hills, located in a bay area, two bridges connecting the city to the other side of the bay, old cable cars making their way through town etc.

@@goldenratio5117 I understand that now, having watched the video, based on how far apart the haves and have nots are in SF. As per my original comment, the generic media around the election did not convey this. Clearly America wanted change - they voted for it.

I've never tasted anything so amazing.
I look forward these videos every Saturday Peter, thank you so much for your hard work and what you do!
Same here! Peter is a great guy and think he should come to Africa too!
I’m from L.A. and I love visiting San Fran. The Bay Area is beautiful and I appreciate all the good people that stayed and are bringing glory back to the city. My baby is at Berkeley Law and i’ll be visiting real soon. Stay beautiful, San Francisco.
Completely agree.
Absolutely! My favorite place is Pier 39 and driving on the Golden Gate bridge.

I am so glad to learn that SF is coming back! Thx Peter. It’s one of our favorite cities on earth (we also love Vancouver)
Look forward to another video❤
tourists are back :) I live close to ghiradelli square and it's always bustling. don't believe what you hear on the media, take a drive and check it out yourself!
Lol tourism is at 90% of prepandemic levels and rising. Projected to be back to 100% by 2026. Time for you to actually come up and see it for yourself haha
Was just in SF a week ago! My 3rd time this year, its great. The city still struggles in parts but SF is very much alive and well
Really enjoying your content Peter.
As an EU guy these videos really give a different view on the US in contrast to all the stereotype stuff you hear and read.

Awww... she's like an SF treasure!
Great video! I’m a native San Franciscan and I will always love the City, as we call it. Grew up in Marin and have a lot of family in SF. Every time I cross the Golden Gate Bridge, I feel such a sense of gratitude that I live in such a beautiful place.
I’ve lived in San Francisco for 25 years. Peter does a great job of capturing the true essence of San Francisco and where our city is in the post COVID journey. Very well done!

I miss how Americans are just very laid-back in general. As a European, I really enjoy this about the US.
That's something I really appreciate about Americans as well
It really depends. The US is huge and there's all kinds of people.
more of a California thing for sure
Maybe more open and talkative? We do work a lot of hours here, so the people you see and talk to on the street are the ones that aren't off in a rush to be somewhere.
Lol from an American perspective, Europeans are much more laidback.
I grew up in SF, it's overrated and overpriced.
Thank you , we have our problems like everywhere . Hoping it will get fixed .
When I first moved to SF I walked through the Tenderloin at 6 am on my way to work and a pimp harassed me for being on his block. In addition, he offered/threatened to make me his ho. I stared straight ahead and got away from his block as quickly as possible.
@@TheBigBigSean I hope that you were able to get out and find happiness.
That was awesome. ❤

Beautiful place
When I was a kid, it was Saturday morning cartoons. As an adult, its Saturday mornings with Peter Santenello!....
That's a lovely comment, thank you from a native SFer.
You hit the nail on the head. I am a 4th generation Bostonian, and 33 year resident of SF, who agrees 100%. San Francisco is the Boston of the west coast, as Los Angeles is the New York.
It’s an area of smart people
@@raj8294 I will say people here tend to embrace education but they end up indoctrinated too. Ah well, there's good and bad in everything. I also saw that they're saying the people in the Bay Area have been the most compliant compared to everywhere else these days illustrating the power of indoctrination.
Though very different in some respects, Boston and San Francisco have so many similarities.
It is covert political content... Fear mongering and rage baiting and division.... It sells. Love and respect and truth does not.
Hello, how are you? Will you always accept to marry me?
European here. I visited SF in the summer of 2023 with my family. The city feels kinda "European", which was surprising. We noticed some more dodgy people around several area's but nothing shocking. The best thing was just to walk around the city, preferably away from the center to feel what this place is all about. Loved the parks also. I'd definitely visit again!
And by european you mean trashy. And you would be right.

Like making their own healthcare and family planning decisions, right?
@@Mark-r2z9u too much freedom as in being allowed to steal up to $950 per person per store per day…as in open air drug abuse…as in being allowed to take dumps on the streets…as in providing people with free drug paraphernalia and money to purchase drugs…as in being allowed to squat and landlords having to pay them $10,000 or more to move out, and other such utopian policies.

I am not American. This video has helped me understand the election outcome more than any other piece of journalism I have watched this past week. I have never been to SF but seems I had a very romantic view of an economic powerhouse and high living standards.
The playground sax scene is one of the most human things I've ever seen.
