What I love about these is that they haven't been updated as new structures are added. The Wayward for example, is not in the picture because it hadn't been built yet.
It can make it confusing for new players tho
@@Lionheart-mg7qf It's a treasure map. This is what happens. Time goes by and they get outdated, but the treasure is still there.
That would require the slightest amount of work something videogame developers hate. Especially Bethesda employees. Lol

Somehow, today was the day I told myself "I'm going to finally do some treasure maps, hope there's a resource online for all this crap" and then this appears on my front page recommended. This is EXACTLY what I was hoping for. Great video, thank you for your work on this!

Weird how that works. Need or want something and it just shows up on your phone. For me it doesn't matter if I talk about it out loud or just think about it. If I had grown up differently I'd probably be going full conspiracy theorist..

I'm kinda in the end-game bit, and have no use for most of the stuff you find (I have everything I need, and I have max caps...) so any maps I get I dump in the box by Vault 76 for the new players, figuring it'll give them a way to explore the map outside of the main missions, and hopefully some stuff that they might find useful.
Great shout out for the Wiki. I think so many take it for granted and yet it takes selfless people precious real time to update. I, for one, salute you. Thank you all for your efforts.

epic guide, i found a camp selling hundreds of maps last night and with this video in mind i bought 50 #3's (random number) for each area and hit each location up, one improvement i'd make next time is making sure i was always near a trainstation or somewhere with a known stashbox, something Fo1st users wont need to worry about if doing the same. couldn't have done it without ya either way.

All i can add is click (press) slowly as if you go very quickly it will cut off the items you get. I believe it was AngryTurtle that did a test on this some time ago. Ive been sacing the maps for some time to do them all on some day i have time and im bored, lol.
Once a dozen or so of the same treasure map stacks up in my inventory I pay the locations a visit.
Got all my power armor plans from this. T45, T51 and T60 plans are very rare. I think most drop in the cranberry bog. Savage divide had Raider definitely. And lotta chems.
Overall great idea to visit a treasure site if you have a lot of the same one, to quickly dig up several treasures after one another.
I’m going to subscribe to your channel because you got a lot of good fallout tips on here. I’ve been playing it for a while but I didn’t really hard-core start playing until I got my series X but I’m starting over now that I got my handheld gaming consul since it’s considered PC Game Pass.
Before Test of Metal, these were the best way to get PA plans. The surplus of rare weapons is also great for unlocking mods for those weapons. The plans also tend to sell very well even if not for much, because the only other way to get them is from vendors. They're all the ones you never buy because you don't really need them.
I really hope they add more in the Shenandoah Valley.

Not sure how others do it but I wait to I get at least 3 in 1 spot that I know of that way you can spam it and hopefully get some rare plan you want
My example would be PA pieces of 45-60, cause I’m still missing so many pieces and I don’t seem to get them at all from Test your metal or mutated packs
I finally picked up my last plan for T-60 yesterday 😁 I can now make everything except union armor.
I have over 2k hours in this game and have never done this lol. Then again I haven't started an expedition myself before either. I do expeditions whenever the team pops up though.

It also blows my mind that it consumes the map.
You don't need a shovel. If you have a teammate close to you, they will get loot too, although it will be different than what you get.

Went treasure hunting. Forrest map 1. Straight to it. Forrest map 8, spent 20 minutes in the spot. Couldn't find it.
Do we actually neep the map to find the treasures or are they always here regardless?
And do they respawn at some point ?
You need the maps. The locations remain the same. As long as you have a map you can dig again.
So, it uses all the maps if I have multiple? Like say I go to Forest 5, and have 7 maps, it gives me 7 hidden treasure loads?
Yes. You click the mound multiple times for multiple maps.

Well might be under selling but I only get 44 caps per each one. That’s what I get. lol
In case you didn't know, if you have teammates near you when you dig treasures maps they also receive a small amount of treasure. So if all four of you are digging maps you can double your yield.
I've heard that but haven't ever tested it.
Do u need the map to access the treasure? Or can i just go to the spots in the video and it will let me dig

They are looted from dead enemies. You can also find them in player vendors sometimes.

It would be cool if you could make your own treasure map. Take a picture of a place, bury some stuff, and then give the picture to someone to find.
Could make for some fun events for streamers. Bury something valuable and then see who finds it first.
I like that idea.
1 thing that puzzles me. People who sell treasure maps often sell them all at the same price. Not all treasure maps are equal.
I sell them all for 15 caps lmao

Cranberry Bog #1 totally useless just pistols and junk.
I've gotten several T51 power armor plans from that one.
buff treasure maps
I try not to use my carry weight boosters unless I absolutely have to half the times I’ll go to a workshop breakdown materials. If I learn any plans, I’ll use all my plans. I usually sell all my food and everything to vendors with the vendor cell card. I pretty much, a collector throughout the game scrapper and I’d sell stuff for dirt cheap other players tend to buy out all the stuff that I get anyway I get as much caps as I need for whatever upgrade I need or multiple things I’ll go to peoples camps and buy plans and everythingwell I’m building my character a little bit different than my Xbox character since I got the ROG Ally
TLDW: These aren’t worth the time it takes to farm them all. Armor this, armor that, I think I saw one remotely valuable mod in there?
