I began listening after learning how to be a caring caregiver for Mom. She knows this music and it is good to see her feel comfortable. Happy to say we are going to continue to listen together. It is helping us a lot.
I was raised on a farm in North Carolina , on Saturday night we all gathered together and listened to the Grand ole Opry , daddy played the banjo mama played the harp and we would visit our neighbors from time to time mama and daddy would pick and sing . I was born in 1944 it's been a long time ago but I can still hear the radio and hear mama and daddy picking and singing , I wish I could go back I miss those old days .

There will never be another Flatt & Scruggs. They were the best and they set the bar in bluegrass.
When I was a kid we listened to the Grand Ol Opry every time it was on the radio. We didn't have a TV. I'am 72 now and thats been a long time.
I like to watch these and pretend its my old childhood B&W TV set, and I'm back in a time when the west was free, and beautiful.
Great old show ,love it
Those Martha White commercials make me hungry.
Absolute gold that these shows were kept , they will go down in history as classic old school country music ,

It's sure hard to find higher quality entertainment, ladies and gents. Put down that phone and turn ya ears on.
