When I heard Earl Scruggs playing Flint Hill Special it inspired me to take up the 5 string banjo. Over 40 years later, i have no regrets. Thanks to God and Earl.
Never knew about them having had a TV show. Just been listening to the CDs. Great stuff. edit: Wait a minute, I wonder if the bluegrass group "Hot Rize" named themselves after that Martha White product due to having watched this when they were kids.
The best by far. Flatt and Scruggs.
I swear earl Scruggs always looked so calm cool and collected.
Like pouring sweet tea outta pitcher son

Love these guys Got see them live in early 60’s. I sure don’t like the so called progress Country & bluegrass has made
Awesome
Scruggs is so good he can hear if a string is out of tune and can fix it while playing
it just blew my mind. You usually tune your strings before playing but he was doing it while playing.
I like the bird imitations by Paul Warrens
Thank you!
Scruggs can play the dobro on the banjo
The best we learn from!
I don't see how they pulled the show off with T Tommy's cigar smoke lol!!!
They were real men in them days.
