This video helped us with our install last night, thank you! One thing we noticed, The Ruck Shop's video differed from yours slightly with the silver circular tensioner thing...on theirs they have the hole on the top & the line markers facing down. On yours you have the hole on the bottom with the lines facing up. I'm not sure what difference that would make?
The only thing I could imagine would be that you axle sits higher or lower depending on which way you choose. It hasn’t caused any issues so far since installing mine. The video the ruck shop has is also for the OG grom. If you look at the photos for the 2022+ they’re all on the bottom
@@T3CHNOskillz That's kinda what we were thinking as far as the axle goes. I didn't even notice the pics on their site. Great point. We ended up doing it the opposite of you, but I don't know if I'll bother correcting it now because it seems to be working okay haha maybe on the next upgrade
@@TomnyXiong if you use the tool right around 13:40 you can spin the silver dial looking part and that will adjust your axle position and tighten your chain. Just make sure they’re on the same notch both sides
13:40 I kind of go into how you tighten the chain. I don’t show it but I explain it. You have to use that special tool to rotate the axle which tightens the chain
Nope kick stand is still the same. I have no issues with how it sits either. It doesn’t lean far and it’s not straight up. Never feel like it’s gonna fall over

It’s gos in like butter on the 2024s
does it make accelerating quicker any differences ?
So hard finding a Grom to buy around here. Ugh
What’s the length of the chain after it’s stretched. I bought a 120 link chain
@@zayk8833 I had a 138 chain that I removed the links on to get to a 135 chain
Is that black bracket still solid? Any issues with it rotating and sliding the caliper off?
Haven’t had any issues and I rode it daily
How do you tight up the chain??

Did your kit come with that spacer or was it alright there?
For the axle those are stock spacers. Nothing changes for the mounting other than adding the extensions in the swing arm
How do you adjust the chain?

How much shorter did the lowering kit make you hike without the stretch?
I feel like I could flat foot a little easier and I’m 5’9
Did you change the kick stand?
Nope kick stand is still the same. I have no issues with how it sits either. It doesn’t lean far and it’s not straight up. Never feel like it’s gonna fall over
