@@harpieclan1950I’ve always hated that word. The white gays were using it in the nineties and I don’t know how black gay men gravitated to that word. Queer is like something odd or weird and who want to be labeled as that.
I'm not queer, I don't feel the need. But why be against it? Guys, let people be who they want to be. I mean, "gay" is like something odd or weird in many places around the world.. and a lot of men don't want to have that "gay label". Being queer and being proud of it is really meaningful to some people. Let's just respect our own community?
Frank is a beautiful soul, and obviously very handsome. I pray he overcomes his depression and he needs to see the light that he truly is. I clearly see it just in this video.
This is exactly why Queer people NEED to have more relationships even if it feels scary. With every relationship you learn so much about yourself, what you want, what you dont want and what you are willing to accept!
I relate to the black guy so much. I’m getting tearful because I get him. He literally are saying things I struggle to get others to understand about my anxiety and depression
People who are in their head most of the time aren’t feeling things internally - they’re feeling their surroundings… as soon as people open their eyes out to see how capable they are they’ll understand more.
I see real intense love between these guys. Ummm. Outside of that, they also seem like genuine people, warm and friendly. If there’s an ounce of the love I see, I hope they come back together and share in each others magic. There’s magic here!
Frank reps us very well. Authentic, transparent. This almost brought me to tears. They have both grown. In any relationship, I feel like you have something to learn. I’m not angry with any of my exes and I don’t regret a thing. I am where I’m supposed to be, life is a journey
Ppl take for granted the lack of representation for men. You see gay men as the best friend but hardly ever in loving real relationships. You love to see it 🥹
Blame that on the gay society being fixated on things that don't matter, particularly physical appearance and sex. Not having or leaving room for an emotional or mental connection
@@travfrank6465 no im blaming it on the media bc thats what I'm referring to. I know plenty of gay men who desire real relationships and/or who are in relationships. I know the phenomenon that you're talking about but its less about the gay community and more about men, particularly young. Takes yrs to unlearn that alpha shit, being vulnerable with a partner, leading with empathy and seeing sex as an intimate thing and not a conquest thing. Straight men struggle too, its just that theres a woman to do the emotional labor (this is simplified and def doesnt apply to all straight couples but since you started with generalizations in just replying in general as well) but 2 men who were prob raised not to show emotion? Yeah its def gonna be toxic. But again, not blaming them. I'm blaming society and the way we raise men.

First, you guys are/were a handsome couple! I think its great to see exes "actually" communicating after a relationship is over. ALOT gay men DON'T know HOW to do that! MOST gay men DON'T even SPEAK to each other anymore! You two are SPECIAL!! Listening to the two of you, let's me know, you really did and still do love each other, and that's great! I PERSONALLY can't tell you where my EX of eights years is!! Dead or alive, I have NO clue! He was a cheater! Good riddance! I've since learned to LOVE myself better! And that was the greatest love of all!! I wish you two ALL the happiness in your futures!! 😊
Listening to them, I have hope that they will get back together. They will learn after looking and looking that they had lucked up early on and found that connection, that vibe, and if the sexual part is half as good as the rest its meant to be.
And what if there's no desire for intimacy between them. Their story is my story to the point. It's crazy how this actually came up on my TH-cam. I have no desire for intimacy with my ex. The thought is revolting. But I love him dearly like a brother.
Sometimes, people are better as friends than as intimate partners, mostly because there are different degrees of needs that they may not be able to meet as partners but are okay to meet at the level of friends.
@@Monochromatification yeah hey,it's tough one you know, how do even become friends, knowing exactly that we were once lover's we shared so many things together.and moreover we gonna stay in each others lives as friends, it shall never be me🤣
Brothers don't sleep together. If your current partner wants you to stop seeing your ex, you have to have enough respect in your current relationship to be able to do that. I don't understand people clinging on to their ex and masking it as something different. If the friendship you have with your ex organically blossoms, then so be it. But asking your ex, and being worried about your ex's future relationship that you're worried your ex's future partner might not want you in his life is sparking RED FLAGS from me.
Me seeing the experience in the gay community it does raise a red flag because although what they had is gone but it will never be forgotten they lean on eachother and I bet talk to eachother about everything....yikes....and also family is involved....as much as they learn more about eachother through friendship....it could possibly lead to a fire reignited....lol or they might be like ew what did I see in him....but...idk they spent 3 years and in the gay world that's a decade lmao
Haha, I enjoy reading your thoughts! Yes, we dated for three years. We were young, learned a lot, and developed an incredible friendship. Of course, family was involved-they both loved us and supported us. We no longer see each other romantically for various reasons. Just because we mentioned fearing that someone might come between our friendship doesn’t mean we wouldn’t prioritize or respect our current partner and their feelings. If the friendship had to end, it would. It’s been over seven years, and we’ve always respected each other.
I see two people who care for each other, and who really love one another. If the reason sex was not working, they should have stayed together, have an open relationship, and keep loving one another. They are soul mates and that is very difficult to find. Sorry, you didn't give each other more time.
An open relationship isn't the answer. It causes more issues. I'm in their exact position and no matter how hard I could try I wouldn't be able to do an open relationship. Even though intimacy with him puts me off, I still love him. A relationship should be where you have your person both in love and intimacy. If it isn't both, it's just a friendship. Best friends type of thing.
I never claimed that an open relationship was the solution; I merely suggested that it might be a possible option. After 33 years with my husband, I believe that love is special, respect is rare, and trust seems nearly impossible to achieve today. Our relationship is better than ever was so please don't interpret my comment as a definitive answer to your past relationship.
@NC-qc7wd It sounded definitive. But anyway. I just don't see how an open one works. What if they catch feelings for someone they see? What if they catch some std or something else? Knowing they were just intimate with someone else all up inside and kissing is crazy. That's a best friendship not a relationship in my opinion.
@@SDav21 and as someone reading both sides, your comments come off as a person looking for an answer who's hurt in their current situation and afraid to let go while speaking in a definitive way. Have you the experience to say for sure it causes more issues? You could say those things don't work for you or you could ask those questions to someone in an open relationship to see another perspective. Your questions are valid concerns but they also reveal the way YOU view relationships and expecting one person to be your everything is a lot to place on one person who's having their own existence on this planet and every minute isn't to serve you.
I'm younger, but I would really enjoy the insight into the perspective of "ex's to brothers" comment. At the end of the day it's not about judgement, but how do you navigate the truthfulness and honesty that will come from the romantic relationship to solely one that is supposed to be nonromantic. I oftentimes avoid people with these types of friends because I believe it lacks boundaries and from the psychological side of things its always driven by a "close for comfort" mentality.
I wouldn’t feel comfortable if I were the current boyfriend… it just feels like they aren’t completely over each other. Sorry but it would make me feel insecure. It’s weird to be so hung up on an ex.
If you want to remain in contact with your ex then that is all fine and dandy but it would not work for me. It’s a little weird to me but different strokes for different folks. Yall might as well just stay together
