I was involved at the beginning in creating the operating procedures for the loading/unloading. I recall thinking that the tree operation (not the rail one) was a bit of a 'rat with a gold tooth' operation. Though it has lasted a bit longer than I thought it would.
That is very sad, I remember the end of west rail and when they brought in the arg locos and remember getting stuck at the top of the port hill before work as the train was loading across the road!! What an awesome day that was!
I remember when the train first started with two ex-AN DA locos top and tail on 5 wagons. Sad to see this all gone to an end but that’s how business goes. Luckily not the end for DBZs in WA as Watco is running a couple on work trains.
What will happen to the loco's and wagons? Did they happen by perchance to head north thru Narrogin on Sunday 9th. Shock horror, we had a train of some description pass thru Sunday morning. Trains thru Narrogin nowadays are as rare as hen's teeth, the horns are very haunting. Cheers for some good vids.

it’s a shame it’s come to an end with nothing to replace it

I hope you still got paid
Excellent video. What are they going to do with the wagons? I can remember when the first wood chip train ran from Lambert to Bunbury.
apparently going for scrap

A great video but as they say that has gone to History
it’s sad especially as there’s nothing to replace it
What caused the decline in the service, certainly very sad

Why no more worships. Did the greenies bugger the system up again
No, the specific mill has closed
