Amazing. I was stationed at Three Springs and Geraldton from 1985-91. The R and RA class were the main workhorses then. We would see the odd AB and A. Once in a blue moon a DA class would show. Then around 1990 the first of the P class made its grand entrance. They were a game changer. Awfully slow to develop power but pulled like a dog when wound up. I learnt my craft on R’s and RA’s. Glad I did. Thanks for the memories.
yep, I love the P class. I got to have a go with the AB’s and DAZ’s when I first got here on the upgrade trains to Morowa, and unfortunately the DFZ’s lol.
