Hey guys, you left me with a lump in my threat and very moist eyes. I was on the management team as the administrator of a food bank our church members founded in a UK town. So I know, at first hand, the great needs of people around a town, the problems caused by unsympathetic government policies, and the generosity of local residents and businesses. So, from some random guy in Essex UK, from the bottom of my heart, a big big thank you for what you did for your local food pantry.
Agreed. The sad part is that there are good ole' boys and gals all over this country just like him and the rest of Robby's crew, but we live in a world where we let celebrities, politicians, and media personalities tell us they are bad people.

"Tasting" of fluids has been a routine thing for decades. It is not drinking the fluid, but merely touching the tongue with a tiny drop of the fluid in question. I was first made aware of this in auto mechanics shop class in 1955. Back then it was to check the difference between permanent anti freeze and the seasonal alcohol based anti freeze. Permanent had a slight sweet taste. Hillbilly has training from some old timers!
Man, you folks are something special, really awesome people. Hillbilly, much respect to you, your heart is in the right place, you are an invaluable asset to Robbys company.
Just a suggestion maybe you could contact the locale repair shops in the area and they could perform the preventive maintenance on the food van to help prevent future breakdowns. You guys are a credit to your community, God bless you all.

Really, really nice what you all did for the Pantry! Kudos. BTW, tasting a drop of engine oil, ATF, or coolant is a time-tested way of determining, for example, if ATF is burnt. Totally different taste. Hillbilly is correct!

Great job and a great cause guys. Once again, Hillbilly comes up with a really smart way to get that transmission up and in place. I'd like to add, it always amazes me to see the differences between the blue collar worker, and the well off white collar folks. These guys emptied their wallets, and dumped their pockets because they wanted to donate. Not for a tax break, or to be able to write it off, but because they understood what that truck means to the Pantry, and what that Pantry means to the community. I wish I had better words to express my respect for these guys.

Awesome, you guys are absolutely awesome. Thank you so much for taking time to help literally hundreds of folks in need. I worked all of my life but in 2015 I became disabled by a heart condition. It was a little over 2 years before I was approved to receive disability. Those were hard times! We would not have had much to eat had it not been for a food pantry. I'll admit to the "tasting of fluids" whenever I came across a mystery spot underneath my current ride. Normally you can get an idea by the feel or color but sometimes you have to go "pro" to figure it out. Good job on the van. The money you saved them will go a long way in the community.

Food Pantries are such a great life line to those in need. I get a delivery every month from one. With being on disability, they help so much. We are so thankful for them.
Through out highschool and a whole after the only meal I got was the one bag a week from school. It wasn’t much, barley anything honestly but it kept me alive. After wards we had a grocery store style food bank and it was an absolutely savior. This is awesome and thank you so much
