Thank you ! All seems so simple yet it’s not 🌷
Lots of great information-thank you!
I use Studio 3, Basic, W&N and sometimes Amsterdam

There is a huge dichotomy in the definition of art.
It seems to be either absolutely humongous abstract
or traditional.
True art is in between. It is not the vociferous abstract or
copying photographs.
The great masters dealt on emotional and spiritual levels.
They had and have a subject that can start the imagination
blossoming.
Great examples were the 19c. French and Russian Naturalists.
The Hague School, the Barbizon, the Glasgow Boys, the American
Tonalists.
One has to study art history to become adept to painting well.
Thank you for your input! For sure there are many takes on what is art. I believe we are all created to create-we are created in the image of an amazingly creative God, (Genesis 1:27) and that art is an expression of how the artist see the world.
What is the clip you are using to hold the canvas on the wall? Thanks
She's using a wooden H easel. The 'clip' you see is top of the easel.
It's a broken wooden easel that my husband mounted to the wall for me :p
