  • This video is about the installation of a chain conversion kit on my Hyosung GV650
This video is a review and setup instructions as well, I hope it helps others that are interested and looking for information on this, when I was looking I found very little information and no actual videos of installation/review of this kit so I did the video while I was installing and testing mine.
I have always preferred chain on bikes and got this with belt because it was a cheap buy but now that it came down to replace the belt costs more that the chain kit and also the belt had to be ordered from Korea which would have taken a long time...
If you prefer belts good for you we are all entitled to have personal preferences and well I prefer chain.
Got the chain kit from USA and got here in about a week.
I would recommend it and I will do an update after a year or so on reliability and any issues but for now after a few weeks this is working great.
    Information and link:
    GV650, GV700, ST7 Chain Conversion Kit - Replaces Belt and Pulleys - Whygostock.com
    www.whygostock...
    Install notes:
You will simply remove your existing belt as well as front and rear pulleys. You will reuse the hardware from the rear pulley and mounting nut for the front pulley. Next you will bolt on the rear sprocket with the included spacers between the new sprocket and hub. The front sprocket will be installed with the raised spacer side towards the engine. Reuse stock hardware to secure from and rear sprocket to factory torque. (GV650 Service Manual is available for free download on our website)
Next, mount O-ring chain. You may need a chain press tool to mount master link side plate. Included is a clip style master link. No riveting needed. Next align rear wheel as stated in service manual until chain has 3/4" - 1" of movement or play.

Hi i like your channel , your explanation are great 👍, do you not if there is compatible parts for my gv650 like suzuki, yamaha honda or any other brand, i need a rear rotor, caliper , and brake hose
    thanks

    • @DiFuXioN
      @DiFuXioN  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Hi, I am unsure if there is a compatible part for rear rotor and caliper the hose should be universal or from suzuki since its just the hose that part should be easy to replace. I can recomend you look at whygostock.com they are based in US and have many parts for these bikes.
      I hope that helps

@@DiFuXioN thanks you so much. Please give me insight about your motorcycle current issue and the cause for the broke. If possible i want to know how you would fix it, and i really hope you share your problems too regarding parts that easily break for people like me to keep in mind.
I'm about to take the same bike soon, I've been dying to get it, since 2015 i didn't get the chance and money but now I want to own 1 for life.
I love the bike design and power in paper but I'm still oblivious regarding the things that people didn't really share about this motorcycle, for instance, how hard it js to fix or what parts that need to be looked out for? Also the common things that happened to the bike.
I am a mechanic myself but i never really get the chance to fix that particular bike myself and no one owns it here at my place.

That's not complete, you need the spacers if you're tire is 190 your tire is 180 and thats why you're doing all that modification dude, buy yourself a jack ,I bought one and installed it from Tomasz Szudrawy who manufactures them and it comes complete with the installation cd,that's why you had to do all that modification
