I’ve eaten at Annie’s BBQ a few dozen times in my life while I lived in Vegas, by far my best EVER meals, constantly delicious, never fails to surprise your palate and go beyond expectations, it amazes me how humble and friendly Annie’s staff always is! I can’t wait to go back to Vegas and taste their BBQ again, prices are awfully cheap for the quality and quantity, but the service surpasses both! Please treat yourselves to their amazing food!!!!!
Ever been to China? That’s just the norm as cleaning is not a profit making activity. I spend months at a time there for business and wife’s side of the family. It’s filthy over there and they bring those mannerisms here and will always say no English
In several of the larger restaurants I've worked at they had a dedicated "deep-cleaner". This person did nothing but clean. Consequently, the restaurant got only 'A' ratings. Having this is a great draw in for the general public so in a very real dollars and cents way paid for itself many times over. Also keeping the staff educated to local sanitation regulations was a big part to. As they say: "Clean as you go" and "If there's time to lean, there's time to clean". Positively encentivising staff made a difference also.
@@melonie_peppers Then more staff is needed. I 100% can imagine how tiring cooking then cleaning is but many on here are beyond "We had a bad rush yesterday and everyone wanted to go home".
The commentary starting at 2:45 was unecessary. Like she's saying if it's not in the suburbs it won't be a clean place, or it's surprising that a place "like _that_ " would have a high health inspection rating. How many restaurants that didn't have bars over their windows had a thousand violations? Also, if you want to see a lack of cleanliness, look no further than being in the restroom at the same time with people who look like her who NEVER wash their hands, or stick one hand under the water, rub it over the dry hand then dry their hands. Then go to some of their houses and there's cats walking on kitchen counters and tables, dogs sleeping under the covers in their beds, dogs licking their faces and mouths, dogs being bathed in the kitchen sink. It might not be a public restaurant but it's nasty all the same.
This is absolutely correct. It all starts with the manager. If the manager doesn't care the staff won't. I use to be a restaurant mgr and now I am in pest control. I see both sides too.
The problem starts with the HD, these places get an A when they have 0 to 15 demerits, the A grade should be difficult to get, that way it'll mean something. Restaurants can't be shut down one day and be ready with an A grade the next, it's just not possible! I work in the industry and I know for a fact some of these places shouldn't be granted a license, and yet they do.
Some owners get into the business to make as much money as they can and as quickly as they can and cut corners as they see fit until they are caught and sometimes even after that. Then there are those in it for the long term and do everything to take care of every aspect of business. The public are the ones who decide the future of any business but it needs to be informed and not just gulp down whatever is put on the plates. It is a good idea to eat at places where you see the food prepared in front of your eyes... not foolproof but still a step ahead.
@@RaulRM3 Yeah I'm sure it's not an epidemic or anything, I know for sure it happens in my neighborhood though. There's a specific diner that's been around for 70 years and the owners are well connected in the community. The place is totally disgusting, I've seen numerous violations but they've never once received anything other than a perfect rating.
