Decent shot maker but shocked he is a 6. Then again, I think SLs look different in different regions from what Ive seen
@@Riddler05 he's relatively new. Think it'll balance out soon enough. Still plenty of potential
Thought you were going to get an 8 ball break at some point.
Yeah I'm new to APA, but not pool by any means. My team captain figured it out early on and since I'm on a team whose best player (him) is a tentative SL5, I've been matched with the opposing team's best player all 3 nights I've played. Won 2, got to the hill on one, and had a rack and run in my win against a pretty solid 5 this past week. I'm pretty curious as to how my captains strategy hitherto is going to eventually end up shaking out for my SL, it's been different every time I've gone in so far.
@@lespopulorum1512 I tried
im new to the channel but really liking the commentary and quality. What kind of camera and setup do you use? Im thinking of maybe recording my own league matches so I can go back and look at how my technique looks and what my thought process was and try to see if I can improve from that.
Currently just using my phone on a 96" tripod. Recording in 4k and editing to 1080p. Using the free version of Davinci Resolve for editing. Hope that's helpful
@@pdn that is very helpful thanks, i had a feeling that my phone my be good enough quality for it and maybe a tripod or something, have you run into other teams caring that you are recording or do you just let them know ahead of time in case they might care? Also I was just curious are you recording a bigger picture and cropping down to what you care about seeing or is it like zoomed in as you record? I really appreciate the advice im gonna try tinkering with it and see what I can do.
@JeremyJust14 I've only had 1 team refuse to be recorded. Just recently had a player suggest he played poorly because I was recording. Usually everyone is very open to it.
I record slightly wider and tighten it up in editing.
@@pdn awesome thank you so much for the replies and great vids, i already subscribed after seeing 1 but im looking forward to watching them all and learning what I can, I just started playing again after almost a decade of not shooting and im a 6/5 in APA trying to really study the game and find different areas I can work on. Im gonna try to get one of my higher teammates to maybe watch what I record and help me out too.
I let stuff like how the guy dealt with the table space issue bother me more than I should as well. I decide on how I'm going to handle the issue before saying something. If I feel it was egregious and a player not even attempting some type of table etiquette, especially one who should know better, then I'll mention it and take my shot if they offer to back off. If it was accidental then I'll just stand back up and wait for them to finish without saying anything. We have 8 teams playing in a place with 12 tables, so it happens.
Had a guy do this same thing in the video once to me too. I told him to either do what I mentioned above or to take his shot and I'll wait; but don't complain, decline to shoot, and then wait til I get down on my shot to start whining about the issue again.
He’s a 6? Very awkward, looking shooting, stroke and style. Missed a lot of easy looking shots.
When you hit your spots it’s such an easy game.
That's why I don't play in leagues, cry babies that never played real sports.
Why do you play APA?
Fair question. A few answers. I play APA 8 ball because my wife does. I play APA 9 ball because the local BCA league couldn't get enough players for a 10 ball singles league that night. I play masters for the challenge.
@@pdn I enjoy your videos.
trevor is not a true 6
@kooliosis47 cool
