Why so much hate for Justin LOL? Like your videos man, you provide good match mindset and knowledge, keep it up 5/5 here from WV.
@@robertvlacich9934 it's deserved. Lol Glad you're enjoying them.
Another fun one to watch! Just to report in. . . My APA 9-ball team got a clean sweep last night! I'm stoked! This is only my 2nd session playing with the league. I'm a wheelchair player and just advanced to SL3, so things are rolling right along. . . literally! 😆
That's funny. Glad you're enjoying yourself. Keep it up.
Did you switch to Pagulayan chalk? I always drop taom chalk in the middle of the match and then someone helps me find it.
@@Macs1Nook not yet. Still have half a piece of Taom that I'm working through.
Useful
Lol. The disappointment in your face when you comment on some of these shots. 😂
Justin use a bridge? No thanks just a four foot bridge for me thanks
Jeff started out like me. I’m only around my 20th total APA. Playing pool for about 11 months now. That’s life time but yes I have picked up a house stick at random bars 1 or 2 times every couple past years. Only 5/5 5/6 it bounces around a lot before get 20 games each 8 n 9. 4 weeks into my first masters season. This one is APA but each team of 3 has to have 1 player under a 7 in 8. Everything I first learned about it said it was no handicap, but this one is 20. So you could have four players but only two sevens and a six can play or however, you want to figure it out but you can’t go over 20. I guess some guys like my game vs what my SL says. I’m the only 5 in the league but I’m 2-2. First game I also should won but I was so so Fing nervous. Was just this thought I was playing way out of my “league”. In less than 20 matches in each 8 and 9ball I do have a BnR in each and 1 8OB and 3 9s. Have a lot to work on but I’ve feel in love with the game after tearing my rotator cuff and not being able to play golf anymore.
Should say that 20 games in each and that’s without the Maters just joined 4 going on 5 weeks tom.
Hope you win cause the first 1 min sounded like a ton of excuses. I love watching higher level pool players this is my first time watching you.
you sound like a bitter coach, lol
You're not wrong.
Why is it that most pool halls are in shady establishments. It's no wonder the sport has a hard time attracting more players in tournaments. Most just stay home and play on their own table to avoid the dive bar scene.
0:55 of course the 1 still goes if she hadn't hit the 14, it's a valley with peach baskets for pockets 😂
I think she will benefit doing a double with you.
Good analysis for us lower rank players especially when there’s better pattern or safety that we just don’t see.
I did enjoy this! Thanks for streaming it. I have a question about Siri though. I see her using her cue to get the angle to pot the object ball and was wondering if she knows what she's looking for. I think she could use a bit of help and I'm trying to help her not be disrespectful! If you could go over that with her and show her to point of contact between the cue ball and object ball I think it would help her visualize the shot better. Showing her the edge of the cue ball hitting her contact point not the center of the cue ball might help her. Just a thought.
Let's go! Been looking forward to this all day!
Im a 5 in 8 ball and 4 in 9 ball in apa. Love the content brother. Keep it up. I like that you dont call time outs a lot. My captain will call a time out just to call one and take me out my groove.
Correct !!!! A captain or any teammate should never call a timeout in the first game.
Just my 2 cents, but 10:05:50, I don't think that Donny hit the 6 ball first. I watched the video several times at 1/4 speed and it looks like the 15 ball started moving a hair before the 6 did. In real time, I would say that it was too close to call, so the benefit of the doubt would go to the shooter, especially since the shot wasn't officially watched. I have learned so much more from watching these amateur matches, than I have from watching the pros play. Your commentary is especially good for these types of channels, and my control of the cue ball has improved dramatically thanks to people like you posting this type of content. So thank you, I truly appreciate the work that you do.
New sub here. I play pool, just got a table and it's nice to hear your input on the shots these guys are taking and why. Also what they could've done differently. Keep up the good work
How much is it to play in the league?
Our local APA league is $10 a night and $35 for the year.
Keith only won that first game by picking up the cue ball.
@@lespopulorum1512 likely true.
I'm still wondering what happened with "something over here."
@@twitterbird7372 yeah no idea. Their player told Keith to pick it up. Then their storekeeper chimed in and nobody cared so they told Keith to keep it.
Outstanding channel... Perfect balance of novice through to seasoned league players.... Great commentary.... Very chilled out and informative
Keith took off the hat and locked in and got the win! Good video!
i see many more hats worn incorrectly every day
Good lord.....
That was not a ball in hand.
Keith, the hat is causing all of the shortcomings in your game. Bring it to league night and convince your opponent to wear it. You're guaranteed to beat them.
@@devinshannon2995 he wore it again tonight and got smashed off camera. I'm searching for a better hat for him.
@pdn I look forward to seeing him on here wearing a winners hat next time. Preferably not white, and not folded like a complete weirdo.
The "something over here" comment was legit funny! Nice editing :)
You are being so nice with these two players. Maybe if they watch this they can understand thinking a head better. Or not.
They’re shooting for innings
@13:17 missed the 2 but made the 4. NOT a ball in hand. Is the scorekeeper or coach not paying attention?
Yep. APA. . . . slop counts.
Alcohol
trevor is not a true 6
@kooliosis47 cool
That my friend was funny!! I think Keith should show you how to wear a hat! Obviously we have all been doing it wrong!!
I have never seen anyone do that with their hat before, and i've seen some goofy characters in my day.🤣🤣🤣
Hey, it's amateur pool. I have missed some of those very same shots. I was curious with the 14 hanging near the side if Keith could have just cut it in maybe with a tip of right.
In person the angle was a bit different. He had a paper-thin edge of the 14 to hit.
You did him a huge favor otherwise he would still be wearing that silly hat.
Damn why is Keith's hat so weird, why does he fold it? The world may never know.
Lol this might be my favorite one lol
I missed it also. Why was ball in hand? Good advise about walking around the table to see the best way to run out. You see different angles.
I have enjoyed your videos and your commentaries! No drama and keeping it real! Almost missed the whole rack on the last break ( it hit the eight ball) . It was funny because you even said " atleast I hit the 1 ball "
The five was a straight back bank
Always bring your old cue, when your using a new cue.
Really enjoy the content! Also - thought I'd check out the other channels you included, but this one does not open any content... (@gr1mth3r34p3r) Thanks!
Great shooting, i would hate to have to shoot against you.
51:30 could DIllon follow the 4 towards the long rail and shoot the 3 straight into the 8 and completely hide from the now separated 8 to get ball in hand? Is there a benefit to actually trying to break 3/8 cluster up and then if you dont have a shot just play a more difficult safety? I only recently started playing again and I feel like alot of times when i do play what i feel is a strong safety my opponent still hits or plays the ball but i dont know if i should maybe be playing the safety better or just change my mindset entirely to try to limit my opponent even getting opportunities to come to the table as often.
@@JeremyJust14 oh 100%. There were a few options there. He's a confident shooter. Went for the finish, it seems. I go safe there though.
@@pdn ok yeah im gonna try to improve my safety game then, thats the mentality i would prefer to have as long as theres not a big upside to really going for it and then falling to safety as plan b. This is actually a big part of what im hoping to learn from recording my play so i can see ok heres the safety i played, and thought was successful, what could i have actually done better or completely different instead and also really try to identify when im falling to safety when i should actually just be trying to run out
im new to the channel but really liking the commentary and quality. What kind of camera and setup do you use? Im thinking of maybe recording my own league matches so I can go back and look at how my technique looks and what my thought process was and try to see if I can improve from that.
Currently just using my phone on a 96" tripod. Recording in 4k and editing to 1080p. Using the free version of Davinci Resolve for editing. Hope that's helpful
@@pdn that is very helpful thanks, i had a feeling that my phone my be good enough quality for it and maybe a tripod or something, have you run into other teams caring that you are recording or do you just let them know ahead of time in case they might care? Also I was just curious are you recording a bigger picture and cropping down to what you care about seeing or is it like zoomed in as you record? I really appreciate the advice im gonna try tinkering with it and see what I can do.
@JeremyJust14 I've only had 1 team refuse to be recorded. Just recently had a player suggest he played poorly because I was recording. Usually everyone is very open to it. I record slightly wider and tighten it up in editing.
@@pdn awesome thank you so much for the replies and great vids, i already subscribed after seeing 1 but im looking forward to watching them all and learning what I can, I just started playing again after almost a decade of not shooting and im a 6/5 in APA trying to really study the game and find different areas I can work on. Im gonna try to get one of my higher teammates to maybe watch what I record and help me out too.
That's why I don't play in leagues, cry babies that never played real sports.
I let stuff like how the guy dealt with the table space issue bother me more than I should as well. I decide on how I'm going to handle the issue before saying something. If I feel it was egregious and a player not even attempting some type of table etiquette, especially one who should know better, then I'll mention it and take my shot if they offer to back off. If it was accidental then I'll just stand back up and wait for them to finish without saying anything. We have 8 teams playing in a place with 12 tables, so it happens. Had a guy do this same thing in the video once to me too. I told him to either do what I mentioned above or to take his shot and I'll wait; but don't complain, decline to shoot, and then wait til I get down on my shot to start whining about the issue again.
He’s a 6? Very awkward, looking shooting, stroke and style. Missed a lot of easy looking shots.
Rick can be a 7 easily, but I bet he wants to stay a six
When you hit your spots it’s such an easy game.
