150moh is REALLY moving for a 210hp N/A car. I had a 1992 LS-S as my second car with a JDM B20z swap and I/H/E. I played professional hockey in Butte Montana and remember hitting 135mph between Missoula and Butte one night. Hauling the mail for a 150hp car in 2001. I drove the hell out of that thing until it had 236k miles. Totaled out and paid for twice over. Best car I’ve ever owned.
This is true Honda performance, a car with 265,000km still running strong 💪. I have a dc5r with 201,000km still putting smiles on my face every single time I drive it.
I will never forget my first ride with this car when i was 23 (now 43). My first car was an Opel Kadett with 75 PS. The way vtec kicks in, is just insane.
People used to complain that these were slow, but the culture is finally realizing how much more desirable these cars are compared to anything newer an faster when you consider how much more exciting it is to drive a car with no electronics.
Best car I ever owned, a JDM 96 Spec. Even after many much more powerful cars it’s still something which cannot be replaced. Only those who have driven them will know 😊
The best front-wheel drive of the 90s, just a few mods for a well-liberated acceleration and hop 240 km/h for a 1.8l 4 cylinder of 190 original horsepower, BMW M3 E36 sweating in 1998 😉
@@lelmaahn5131, The M3 E36 has 300 kilos more on the scale, at that time it was sweating especially on mountain roads and small country roads, knowing that the maximum speed was limited to 250😂
The thing we gotta remember is that top speed is being limited by the rev limiter. It stopped at 240kmh not because it didn’t have any more power, but because it ran out of revs. A lower geared diff or longer 5th would give a higher speed. Impressive for a 25yr old non turbo 1.8L
He didn’t hit the rev limiter. It seems to have been raised from the factory setting Edit: 0:20 He does hit the limiter here, and sure enough it’s been raised to an indicated 9250 RPM (Sounds more like 9000 to my ears)
It was starting to struggle, you can't expect much more with *only* 210hp and road-car aerodynamics. They had the ratio's just right, longer gears would sacrifice acceleration for a couple MPH on the top end. Not worth it.
Take this over a 1000 Hp over done car any day. More than fast enough, sounds goof af, will handle well, looks wicked.. A nice head unit and simple sound system, cold ac and got 1 hell of a nice street car.

This video made me emotional and made many happy memories flood back to me. I had a JDM import DC2 for 5 years and used it as a daily workhorse, it spent a lot of time on the motorway, as well as going out most evenings in it and thrashing it to an inch of it's life everywhere I went. I put around 80,000 miles on it, selling it to a friend with just over 200,000 miles on the clock. It's still going to this day and I regret ever selling it. I didn't know it at the time, but I had the best car I've ever owned and driven in the best years of my life, travelling all over the country in it, having a blast on my travels whilst I lived carefree. It never broke down, never had an issue, never failed to put a grin on my face. Amazing piece of machinery, they certainly don't make them like that anymore.
Currently having a B18C put into my 1992 EG Civic hatch. Also had a 1996 JDM DC2 back in the day. Legendary car. Looking for 210 bhp with mods and tuning (just like yours). Videos like this just make me smile! :)
@@weihu8646 you serious? This thing hits 6 seconds 0-60 and close to 250 kmh. Only GTI MK7 and above can compete. But Honda is still faster and more fun.
Love that sound. I used to own a '92 Integra GSR with a '01 spec Integra Type-R B18c5. It had a Mugen Gymkhana-spec exhaust manifold, a 60mm RSR Ex-Mag exhaust (quietest performance exhaust on the market at the time), and a '90's spec HKS "Power Flow" intake (pre-super mega-flow) that used the factory intake resonator to quiet it a bit. Lower end was stock, and the head had light work for increased 11.6:1 compression. Car had AC and power steering deleted

I have a very, very heavily modified Ford Probe GT with a fully built KL V6 which was a direct competitor to these, and would give this one a run for its money. I will never get tired of hearing a B-series in VTEC though.
