What a wonderful VIBE that makes us feel this song! A very great inner peace! George was inspired when he wrote this masterpiece! Congratulations on the choice folks! a hail here from Brazil!
I WAS ONLY THREE YEARS OLD 👦 BACK THEN, BUT AS I GOT OLDER I REMEMBER THEM PLAYING IT AFTER ALL THIS TIME ❤😊BRINGS BACK SO MUCH CHILD 🧒 HOOD MEMORIES. 🥺🥺 1968 BABY THOSE WERE TRULY GREAT 👍🏻 TIMES
This song was the first number-one single by an ex Beatle. "My Sweet Lord" was at the centre of a heavily publicised copyright infringement suit due to its alleged similarity to the Ronnie Mack song "He's So Fine" which was a 1963 hit for the girl group 'The Chiffons' This was actually Number 1 here in the UK in 1971, then got to Number 1 again in 2002 a year after his death.
The video is an unwelcome distraction to one of the most beautiful songs ever. Just listen to the song, and the devotion, the longing. It's an internal experience. Jai Sri Krishna.
The video may be distracting from the song's message.. but it was produced after George's death. I noticed in the credits one if not more of George's children were listed. This may have been the family's way of honoring him with a piece of creative art. For that reason I stopped trying to analyze..George's tribute.. made by some of his family members. Song is a whole separate meaning from the video..nothing a like. A few... A-List Celebrity cameos however. I liked that.
Soothing and uplifting at the same time. I'm not religious but it has such a lovely, upbeat feel to it, and love the vocals and guitar and the way it builds, and also the hare Krishna section
I love this song and I love George Harrison. Loved your reaction to "Give me Love". Now if you react to his song "What is Life" you will have heard my three favorite George Harrison songs. Thanks for the wonderful reactions. I love your channel.
Hi Shaun and Mel, this is my favorite George Harrison song. I heard a version performed in Italy with numerous musicians and singers. The Producer is Federico Perlingieri done as a tribute to George Harrison and was performed so beautifully that I’m sure George Harrison loved it and so will you! Check it out on TH-cam! ❤
There were times when the videos didn't match what was expected by the title of the song. Some songs are enjoyed more without the video, which were sometimes too quirky for my taste. 😵💫🤭☺️
Hi Shawn & Mel, I just saw that you reacted to Georges song but you should check out Billy Preston (aka The fifth Beatle) at Tribute to George Harrison RIP from 2003. A Very moving performance
George and the Beatles were into transcendental mediation with the Culture of India wen he wrote this song.He is referring to Lord Hare Kirshner , not Lord of Lords, Jesus Christ!
the message is dont harm cause it hurts others, dont steal from others, cause it hurts, dont control others cause it hurts (even through manipulation) remove that dmg and we get a world without a control pyramid structure, billy kept his mouth shut
So much going on in that video, George Harrison, Ringo Starr, Jeff Lynne, All Things Must Pass, Lester Bangs. Gonna have to watch that again and pick out all the messages.
Ever since hearing this song since it’s release in 1970 when I first it heard it, I’ve felt like I’ve been lifted a little bit closer to Jesus Christ by virtue of hearing it. I’ve always been moved by this lovely tune. Looking back I realize George was searching, even so far as experimenting with cannabis, LSD, etc., and also delving into various eastern religions even when he might not have fully understood that he was indeed searching. It’s clear that he was looking for answers. For me, even despite the lyrics to Krishna in the latter chorus, the song has always been an anthem to the Messiah, Jesus Christ, and every time I hear it or I play it, I’m moved to tears. Praise be to our Heavenly Father for giving us the incredible gift of music so that we might use it to express our love for Him and glorify His Holy Name.
You have just heard one of the Greatest Songs in History. Why somebody included that f*cking G*d-awful totally unrelated video of various fools walking around with flashlights, I can't fathom, but it ruins George's greatest work. It disappoints me that his son Dhani was involved in it. "What were they watching?" "I don't know, I didn't even look." Neither did I wherever I could help it.
Well Done Guys but how disappointing. Farcical video even if it did involve Ringo and George's Son and Wife. Just watched this same song with a brilliant accompanying video showing George thru' his life, with and without the other Beatles...
@@toddkurzbard Maybe you are right. Still sounds a little off to me. And you are absolutely right about the video. Where do they get these clips? If this is a request, can the requester provide a link to a good quality audio version? Thanks for the response. Take care!
This song cost George about $1.6 million. I love the song, but compare it to "He's So Fine" by The Chiffons. I think the judgement was fair. What do you think?
@@MrGlock509 It's a beautiful song a I will always love it and play it on my guitar. All I'm saying is just compare the two. Whether George was conscience of it or not, he ripped the song off a bit too much. In the entertainment business, everyone rips everyone off; standard practice, just don't make it too obvious.
I can't believe this is the official video for this song it's terrible even with all the big name actors. It takes away from the beauty of the song. Who green lighted this?
What a beautiful heart George Harrison has ❤️
Ahhh, had.
@@gordon9995 -
Go Sit In The Corner Boy 👦!
Still he has and always will have ❤️
Please react to original video featuring the late great George Harrison.
I find this video really distracting
This video almost Blasphemy. Pretty Sure George would be appalled.
Exactly what was the point of this video. It had nothing to do with the song's meaning.
Best love song to god.🙏
Best gospel song for Jesus, RIP George Harrison ❤✝🕊...
The who's-who-in-Hollywood video distracts from the beauty of the Krishna prayer at the end of the song.
Great Song!
🙏🏾 We Miss You George!
What a wonderful VIBE that makes us feel this song! A very great inner peace! George was inspired when he wrote this masterpiece! Congratulations on the choice folks! a hail here from Brazil!
Forget the video. The song is the bomb.

I love this song so much
Watch this video on The concert for Bangladesh. It was the first time.. Rock was so Real. Happy days was George's inspiration. All about The Lord. ✌
God bless you two .and I love you chane

Jai Sri Krishna.
100% right, i'm glad someone else is on the same wavelength, the video is totally farce to this song
@@aserzulu Yeah, the video was awful
Black kids finally learning what we already knew! Nice!

I liked that.
One main celebrity was Ringo, who definitely makes this video more endearing.
Agreed, what were they thinking this was pointless garbage.

Shawn and Mel another George Harrison song when he was in the Beatles is "Something" , I would love to see you rate it. ✌️❤️

George Harrison its my idol

One underlying teaching underlying this song is this: God goes by many names.
Interesting video.... Besides that such a beautiful song by George ♥️
When I was in the 7th grade three other girls and I did a pom-pom routine to this song, it was tons of fun!
Some people search, don't really know what they're searching for, & it's right in front of them the whole time.
Beautiful man 😍
First time watching the official video.😉
Believe me that is NO "official video". NO ONE would put that horrid video to such a great song.
🌬PS 2: " YOU'VE GOT A NEW SUBSCRIBER "
HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY BELOVED SOULS 💖👼🙏⭐🕊🦉💎
Badfinger helped out on the album.
On this song I can hear Tom’s voice in the backing vocals on top.
I'd like to hear you react to I Remember Jeep by George Harrison
❤
This song came out in 1970. George Harrison died in 2001. I this video was done after he passed. So no idea about this video.
Well, considering one person whips out her cellphone, I would have to say WAY after.
I have been listening and watching the Beatles for centuries and yet I have never seen that.
I ❤ this song. Not sure if the video was necessary. God bless 🙏🏽
He was in The Traveling Wilburys
Ojala que en el mundo entero alavara a jesus con esta letra u musica es magnifica una voz increoble een este mundo va aser muy dificil que los superen
George and the Beatles were into transcendental mediation with the Culture of India wen he wrote this song.He is referring to Lord Hare Kirshner , not Lord of Lords, Jesus Christ!
Harrison got Peter Frampton to do the lead guitar on this while Harrison did the acoustic. Great song.
I didn't know that.. thank you.
Also Eric Clapton on the 2nd acoustic guitar.
Its Harrison's lead on My Sweet Lord, not Frampton's.
It's George Harrison on this slide guitar and not Peter Frampton.
@@2JorgeBeat Not according to Peter Frampton.

Having just seen a wonderful accompanying video with many images of George,I thought this was terrible despite the ensemble, I'm afraid..
One of my top 5s of all time. In case u cared lol

Classic christian supremacist thinking. Harrison was a Hindu and the song is about Krishna.
Original video needed here.....
Great song, think you would of liked it even more if didn’t hear it during,Im sorry this stupid video!Took a lot away from the feeling of the song.
Armisen should be ashamed of himself

you picked the wrong video for this one
Your just watching videos
The song is beautiful... the video makes no sense
The accompanying video is so not what the song is about.
It's either a cover or some George's take. But it's not the original version.
It IS the original version. It just adds some sh*tty video.
@@toddkurzbard Maybe you are right. Still sounds a little off to me. And you are absolutely right about the video. Where do they get these clips? If this is a request, can the requester provide a link to a good quality audio version? Thanks for the response. Take care!
This is Not the official video for this song
Ridiculous video has butt all to do with this song, dreadful and insulting to the music and memory of George.
BLASPHEMY!
Highly doubt this was an "official" video. Released in 1971! Video doesn't fit the song at all. Weird.
This song cost George about $1.6 million. I love the song, but compare it to "He's So Fine" by The Chiffons. I think the judgement was fair. What do you think?
And then we got “this song”

Yeah and that’s why he had to record a song and give them the proceeds
He wasn't into Christianity. So who's his Lord?
That is NOT George
What is with this video?
Total cross over Religious song
Harrison's shameful plagiarism. For me he lost all credit with this garbage. Impostor.
The video has ZERO to do with the song, not your fault but what the hell was their thought process?
WTH was that video ?
Terrible video, great song.

Great song, shouldn't have used that stupid video though.
