- With five feisty hot hatches at our disposal, we decided to pit them against each other in the only logical way possible -- a drag race. We put the Mini GP, Ford Fiesta ST, Peugeot 208 GTi, Nissan Juke Nismo and Citroen DS3 Racing to the test at Rockingham -- but which will be the fastest?
The 200bhp ds3 would of done much better if the driver didn't leave it on the limiter before changing up
Hasn't the DS3 and the 208 got exactly the same engine, so this acceleration test seems odd to me.
99% the same car underneath.

Fiesta actually has 197. UK weren't allowed to quote that because it is provided as a boost. non-boost is 179
ROY HILLIS only has 197 in first 2 gears/ first six seconds of full throttle then it’s back to 179

the 1st informations said well the same engine & power than RCZ R so 260 -270hp for this limited and extrem version of the 208 the "R"
BUT when we see the others brands, the extrem version like the future CLIO 4 RS GORDINI 'l has 230hp
More logic for this category of "city sport cars"
The 260-270hp are for the highter category of Berline Megane, Focus or other Astra
Thus yes more problably 230hp about for a "future" 208R and this is already very well !
Fiesta ST isn't that good at drag. But at the track, damn so Nice!🔥

Focus ST 91 I mean look at the engine power the Mini GP more likely a 2.0 as the ST is only a 1.6 but 2.0 is optional, really depends on the driving skill
And if you take the extrem version of the BMW Mini, wait to take the extrem versions of the Renault Sport CLIO 4 RS and of the 208 GTi which arrive soon ^^
- Clio 4 RS GORDINI : Lighter than the "classic" CLIO 4RS and not 200hp but 230hp and a faster EDC gearbox
- 208 GTI R or 208 R : Also lighter than the classic 208 GTI and ... and maybe the 270hp engine of the RCZ R and the future 308 R !
Stupid video, pilots are zero, the DS3 has the same performance as the 208GTi and is much more rapid than the nismo and Fiesta. This video is a mini pro-or anti-ds3. The reality is rather

And on paper the DS3R and 208 Gti have performances like 0-100 better than the mini. Short video without interest.
Mini GP costs £12,000 more than the Fiesta and the 208

SuperStabak 208 GTi and DS3 racing have the same engine o.O. But the DS3r have 205 hp/0-100 km/h 6,5 sec. and the 208 GTi 200 hp/ 0-100 km/h 6,8 sec. So what is going on with the Driver of the citroen??
I remember some car video of a hot hatch drag race where they had a 15 year old boy driving the 308 GTI... Despite probably being the quickest car in the race, it lost...

From my experience,
-Mini has cooling and steering problems
-Citroen & Peugeot are both French with bad engine issues and
-Nissan, firstly, Juke is not a competitive car and it's also Japanese

Whoa - hold it there buddy. Peugot has the same engine as Mini Cooper S (which I think is the same as the JCW - or GP - just tuned), and it's turbocharged, not supercharged. AFAIK the Citroen also has the same engine. They each have slightly different tuning. The Nissan's Juke 1.6digT has quite an engine, and I reckon that's the same as the Nismo one here with some Nismo body kit. Not an incompetent car at all. I know the owner of many a Mini and none have any issues related to cooling. What's wrong with a Japanese car? GTR is Japanese and will rip those glasses off your face.
All that said, Fords are awesome and I think the ST is very cool and has a nice engine too. However, all these cars FAIL - none are RWD XD XD.
Mrcloc Dude sorry but i don't trust Citroen & Peugeot. I had a MINI cooper S. 2 times i changed the steering mechanism and 3 times i had to stop on trips because the engine overheated. Friends had the same issues so i sold it! Juke (nismo) is a different class and i think you can't compare it with the other 4 cars on a drag race. Different Suspension, weight, body, aerodynamics...However, GTR it's not a car. It's a legend man. So does the LFA :D
P.S: The video may be cheat. From one camera the 208 is first and on the other, the mini is a car in front of it. Check it out !!!
Marinos Porfyriou I saw that with the Peugot, but that Mini is sick fast. I'm not a french car fan either, but I must admit they have improved significantly recently. Hard luck with those Mini's! I know of 10 or 11 owned by my mother and a some friends and all were fine. Still, I won't want to own any of these - RWD for me, thanks (and they're way too small).
Marinos Porfyriou Since 1 year I drive a 2004 206cc and don`t have any Problems and my parents drive french cars since 15 years and only had a few signs of use but no engine damage. And if you look at the datasheed of These cars the DS3r normally can`t be the last. I`m loving French cars, but I also like Ford :D
Your actually wrong ! From 2012 all mini coopers S, JCW and GP have a BMW N18 1.6 engine. From 2014 all the mini's used 2.0 litre BMW engines. Before 2012 all JCW mini's and Cooper S had N14 Peugeot engine which has some issues

That mini GP is so..... expensive. Great car, I would love to have one, but I wouldnt buy one. Of course the US does not get most of these cars, because Americans like big pieces of crap, and not small economical but fun cars. So I would go ST and wait for the tuner market to beef it up. I bet tuned to beat the GP, it will still cost thousands less
The ds3 has a 0-60 time of 6 secounds. The peugeot is almost 8. How can it be last. Such bullshit dont believe this video
